The only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine in Chuo-ku → Ginkgo Inari Shrine

Surrounded by six ginkgo trees in the immediate vicinity of my office

In Chuo-ku, there is Ginkgo Inari Shrine, the only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine.

I was interested, and after a little research, I was able to know the following:

History: The shrine hall was destroyed by the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923.
It was in Ansei 4 (1775) that enshrined deity was enshrined in the shrine, covering the sky at that time.

There is a large ginkgo towering ginkgo, and its age was estimated to be 3 to 400 years.

It is thought that the shrine was built before that.

This ginkgo Inari Shrine is the only shrine dedicated to Hachimangu Shrine in Chuo-ku.

In the Meiji era, the literary writer Junichirou Tanizaki enjoyed once a month of the Kagura of Ginkgo Yahata Shrine.

    I wrote it in "I'm a child."

Interest: Ginkgo Inari Shrine is a god of business prosperity from a nearby securities company in Kabuto-cho.

     Thank you very much.

It is also said that there are applications for donations from companies in other prefectures.

It is also worshiped by the residents of shrine parishioner as the god of prosperity and longevity.

A woman living nearby visited every day from a young age to a hundred years old, so she was healthy and 103 years old.

There is a real story that fulfills longevity.

To this point, Chuo-ku 1

[Ryokichi] March 21, 2013 09:00

Jogging lovers often run and go to various places, but the other day it became warmer, so I tried a "trip around the border of Chuo-ku". Although the distance varies depending on how it goes, even in a small Chuo-ku, it can reach more than 20 km.

The course starts from Kiyosu Bridge, changes the course to the Kanda River at Ryogoku Bridge, and goes around Yanagibashi and Asakusabashi. On the map, the southern shore of the Kanda River near Asakusabashi Station was intricate with Chiyoda-ku, making it difficult to determine the boundary. Proceed almost through the boundary. Crossing Yasukuni Dori, the wholesale district of Bakurocho and Kanda has a relatively easy-to-understand boundary. But it doesn't seem to be on the road. As much as possible, I went along the road at the end of Chuo-ku or near the other ward (at this time Chiyoda-ku).

Go around Kodemmacho and near Jisshi Park, cross several more streets, and follow up to Kanda Station. And this border continues to the inside of the JR Yamanote Line. Isn't there a few people who know that Chuo-ku is inside the Yamanote Line?

What I met here was the trace of Ryukanbashi. It is located at Joban 4-chome, Chuo-ku.

IMG_1551.jpg

This used to be the Ryuka River, which separates Kanda and Nihonbashi, and it was the place where a bridge was built there. And even if the river is buried and the bridge is removed, part of the bridge is left. It seems that it is significant as a pioneer in Japan's reinforced concrete truss bridge. There's a plate to explain properly.

At the back right of the photo, there is a JR guard on the road heading toward Shin Jobanbashi. The Chuo-ku side is shown in this photo. The right and back are Chiyoda-ku. I come from the left back, go forward, pass in front of the Bank, and go to Tokyo Station Yaesu Exit, and further toward Ginza. However, the future will be another opportunity (the future is still long).

Ando Shiho store Karakuri monument

[Silver] March 16, 2013 09:00

Ginza 5-chome, Ricoh's Ring Cube to Hibiya, Karakuri doll from "Ando Shihoten".

I've seen Karakuri dolls moving several times before.

It seems that the moving time is four times, 13:30, 15:30, 17:30, and 19:30. Please drop in before and after lunch or before lunch.

This Karakuri doll is written on the explanation board as Karakuri monument "Eternal Tsubasa", and the author is Yuriko Mudo. "This monument was created with the image of "Heaven Dojis" that bring relaxation and moisture to the street corner of Ginza and fly in the sky. ・Yes, it is. Please take a look at the elaborate mechanism and enjoy a moment in Ginza.

In addition, the shop is a cloisonne store that has been around since the Meiji era, and you can enjoy it like a gallery with wonderful cloisonne products. I purchased a piece of Cattleya flower made of cloisonne. There are a lot of nice brooches, so it's recommended for silver. Please refer to this page for more information.

Kibikicho Square-Kabukiza Underground

[Apricot peony] March 14, 2013 14:00

The new Kabukiza Theater is now less than a month to open.
The installation work of the tower in the front has been completed, and the mood is rising above.

As soon as possible, the subway Higashi-Ginza Station and the basement of the building were connected, and escalators and elevators were installed, making it very convenient.

ck1203_130313 (4). jpg  ck1203_130313 (8). jpg

And the nice thing is that a very fun space called "Kibikicho Square" was born underground!

ck1203_130313 (10). jpg  ck1203_130313 (2). jpg

This plaza is said to be considered in response to disasters, but if you go out of the subway ticket gate and go a little further, the space will first spread out, and from the high ceiling, the large Japanese lantern marked "Kabukiza" is falling.
ck1203_130313 (13). jpg  ck1203_130313 (11). jpg

There were quite a few people taking a commemorative photo in front of this Japanese lantern, so shooting here may become a standard in the future.

In the back, parasols are lined up on the bench, which is very convenient for meeting and resting.
The various shops are lined up on the wall, so it looks very spacious, but once the performance starts, I think it will surely be crowded with many people.

ck1203_130313 (15). jpg  ck1203_130313 (14). jpg

Rooftop gardens and galleries can be reached from here, but the opening has only opened, so it is still closed now.

By the way, what kind of shops are in the square is that first of all, it is a souvenir for lunch boxes that are indispensable for the ticket office, a local information corner, a combination cafe, a general store, a restaurant, and a play .

Above all, at the souvenir shop "Kaomise", there are many items that can only be purchased here, so you can get lost.

ck1203_130313 (17). jpg  ck1203_130313 (18). jpg

Starting with goods related to actors and Kabuki performances, he discovered a demonstration sale of Kintsuba, which was once in the theater, while fashionable packages of rice crackers and sweets were lined up.
Wow, I was happy to be able to eat again.
ck1203_130313 (1). jpg  ck1203_130313 (16). jpg

In addition, there is a corner of freshly baked bread next to it.
"Kumatori bean paste" has matcha in Ogura and seasonal cherry blossoms, so I think it is inevitable to eat it, but it is too delicious, so it seems that I will go out to the extent I intend to take it home as a souvenir .

ck1203_130313 (3). jpg ck1203_130313 (12). jpg    ck1203_130313 (5). jpg

In addition, the recommended item is "Early Roll Soft Cream" which I thought about.
A gem made by soft serve ice cream and crushing Kabuki fried rice cracker.
The sweetness of soft serve ice cream and the saltiness of Kabuki fried are matchless.

If you go out of this square using an escalator and elevator to the ground, it is exactly the front of Kabukiza Theater.

It's so fun that I'm going to shop and just forget the time, but I hope you don't forget the start time.

A little earlier spring scene <Okanzakura>

[Sam] March 12, 2013 09:00

R0020716LS.JPG R0020672RSGC.JPG   The early blooming "Okanzakura" on the Sumida River Terrace on the south side of Eitai Bridge Westfill blooms.

Okanzakura is said to be a hybrid of Kanhizakura and oshima cherry, with a height of about 5 to 10 meters, a large crown, a pale red petals are round and large, and a lot of fine cuts at the tip.

Along with "Kanzakura" and "Kawazu Sakura", which begin to bloom a little earlier, it makes you feel the arrival of spring a little earlier.

brown-eared bulbul was coming to suck the nectar. (top right of the photo)

Okamezakura full bloom <Ajisai-dori St.>

[Sam] March 11, 2013 12:47

R0020677LS.JPG R0020693RSG.JPG <Akamezakura> of "Ajisai-dori St." in Nihonbashi Honmachi bloomed at a stretch with the cheerfulness of these days, and it was at its best.

Okamezakura is said to be a hybrid of Mamezakura and Kanhizakura, and is a single early blooming with pale red color.

Among the cherry trees, it is a small variety and the tree shape is compact, so it is suitable for planting small land.

It started seven years ago with 26 trees, and now a total of 76 trees are planted to the ward border.

In the Nihonbashi area, an event entitled "Nihonbashi Spring / Sakura Weeks" will be held from March 13 to April 9, with the theme of "beauty" and "knowledge" to enhance yourself, and "sakura", a symbol of spring.

On March 31st, 2,000 cups of amazake will be served at the Sakura Festival at Ningyocho amazake Yokocho.

From April 5th to 7th, the Sakura Festival hosted by Nihachikai is scheduled at Yaesu Sakura-dori St.
