[Sam] Nov. 21, 2013 09:00

DSC00102RS.JPGDSC00104LSCC.JPG"Mikimoto Jumbo Christmas Tree" is displayed at "Garden Plaza" in front of Ginza Mikimoto Main Store, which has been adding color to the Christmas season on Ginza Street since 1976 as a winter tradition.

The 36th tree this year was lit on November 16th.

The exhibition period is until December 25.

Lighting time is from 11:00 to 22:00.

A large fir tree of about 10m high and 30 to 40 years old, said to have been taken root by a large trailer from Hokkaido.

The theme of 2013 is "Jewelry Box".

Inspired by a jewelry box, approximately 7,000 new multicolor LED illuminations with original specifications that change to 12 colors are newly adopted, and at the base of the tree, an object imitating a 12-month birthstone ring is placed.

Every hour, you can enjoy the illuminations of music and light.

The autumn scenery Tsukiji walk that adds color to St. Luke's will also welcome you!

[Silver] Nov. 20, 2013 14:00

As of November 19, we will deliver a wonderful view of the autumn leaves and yellow leaves around St. Luke's College of Nursing.

Originally, this place was the place where Banshu-Ako Asano Yashiki was located, and it was the birthplace of Ryunosuke Akutagawa. There was also a U.S. Nearby are monuments to the beginning of Dutch studies and monuments to a number of Mission Schools opened in the early Meiji era.

Recommended walking course: From Tokyo Metro Tsukiji Station or Yurakucho Station.

Tsukiji River Park (Now, the kiwi behind the Ginza Capital Hotel is growing steadily. In the park, pear fruits are colored yellow everywhere. )

It's fun to go out to St. Luke's Tower, Tsukiji Outer Market, and so on.

It is a slightly scenic view that "Hananoki" at Tsukiji River Park turns into autumn leaves.

When you walk around Tsukiji in Kinshu, you may encounter unexpected happenings.

Let's go to the Sumida River Terrace from Akatsuki Park and Hatoba Park. "Momijiba maple" on the roadside is very beautiful in three colors: green, yellow, and autumn leaves.

Sakura-colored Hikari

[Sam] Nov. 15, 2013 09:00

R0021630CRSG.JPGR0021654LS.JPG On November 8th, Christmas illuminations in the Nihonbashi area are lit.

This year's theme for Colled Nihonbashi, Choledo Muromachi, and Mitsui Tower is "Sakura-colored Hikari".

The lighting period is until January 13, next year. Lighting time is from 16:00 to 24:00.

Prospered as a commercial and cultural center since the Edo era, and based on a city where tradition and newness coexist, with the motif of "cherry blossoms" as a flower that symbolizes the hearts of Japanese people, with gentle cherry blossoms and white LED light, The reason to express the delicate, gorgeous, and beautiful winter cherry blossoms wrapped in snow crystals is expressed.

Junction of Sumida River

[Tachibana] Nov. 12, 2013 15:00

On November 9th, I went to the town walking tour "The junction of the Sumida River on the tide".

It was a chilly day for November, but while listening to the explanation of members of the Chuo-ku Cultural Property Supporters Association, I walked around Tsukuda Island for an hour and a half-walking less than 6,000 steps.

The first thing I went to was Tsukuda Tendai guardian of children and travelers. In the middle of the narrow streets between ordinary private houses and private houses, there was guardian of children and travelers on a small site where only one person could enter. If there are no signs or banners in Yokocho, you will pass by at all. There is a fine ginkgo on the premises, but it is surprising that it is surrounded by the house.

Pass through Tsukuda Namishi Inari Shrine, cross Tsukuda Kobashi, where one of the treasure chests of "Chuo-ku Treasure Hunting" was located, and crossed the square where "Tsukuda Island Bon Odori" venue, "Tsukuda Festival Ryutora / Kurokoma" arrived at the building where two large lion heads are displayed. It is a large lion head famous for being said to be auspicious when you touch the nose of this large lion head first at the Tsukuda Festival.

After looking at the octagonal portable shrine through the glass at Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, I went to the ruins of Ishikawajima Lighthouse.

From here, you can stroll along the terrace along the Sumida River. Mitsui Tower in Nihonbashi could be seen directly above the Kamejima Suimon on the opposite bank of the Sumida River. From here, it's a straight line to Nihonbashi.

Also, it did not pass today, but it was said that Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge has a place where Tokyo Tower and Sky Tree can be seen on the right and left.

After that, we went to the junction of the Sumida River, went along the Harumi Canal via Paris Square, and went to the site of the Kaisuikan, and broke up.

It seems that 15 people were scheduled to participate in the lottery today, but 6 people were canceled due to the cold weather. Certainly, it may have been about half a month to walk around here, but I was able to take a leisurely stroll while watching the Sumida River. Why don't you choose a sunny day and walk?

WINTER ILLUMINATION 2013 <Harumi Triton>

[Sam] Nov. 11, 2013 09:00

R0021562LS.JPGR0021574RSG.JPG This year, at Harumi Triton Square, "Winter Illumination" has started lighting in conjunction with the "Harumi Flower Festival 2013".

The lighting period is from November 2 to February 14.

Just like last year, fantastic LED illuminations based on blue, centered on the "water terrace", with the image of the ocean blue ocean and dolphins as motifs.

Three dolphins emerge above the front pool and two dolphins emerge in the side pool, and the surrounding trees are sparkling in blue and white light.

It's also fun to look at the dolphins object at different angles.

On the other hand, the trees on the "Sakura promenade" from Harutsuki Bridge to Reimei Bridge are decorated with gold and white illuminations and shine against the skyscrapers.

November 7th is winter according to the calendar. On November 1st, "1st. WINTER ILLUMINATION" lights up at Kyobashi's Tokyo Square Garden.

It is said to be one of the largest illuminations in Ginza and Chuo-dori.

The lighting period is until February 16, next year. Lighting time is from 16:00 to 24:00.

Tokyo Square Garden will be completed on March 17 this year (commercial zone will open on April 18). This is an environmentally friendly large-scale complex that combines cutting-edge environmental technologies such as solar power generation, underground heat utilization, and BEMS (Building Energy Management System). The two blocks are consolidated, and the center of the first floor of the building is the same as the old ward road. Opened as a penetration road of the same size. Directly connected to the subway Kyobashi Station, 30 shops and restaurants, and 1,000 tsubo office space on each floor of a pillarless space that supports various office layouts, the Kyobashi Hill, a multi-layered greening space with an area of 3,000 m2, is created not only to enjoy the flowers of the four seasons, but also to the cool down of the city.

The Chuo Ward Environmental Information Center is located in the Kyobashi Environmental Station on the 6th floor.

This time, the B1F, 1F, 2F, and 3F parts of Kyobashi Hill are lit up, and you can enjoy the overlapping sparkle of light.
