Flower Carpet Harumi 2016 Until 16:00 on November 1

[Ginzo] 09:00 on October 31, 2016

Before the evening of October 29, a very beautiful flower carpet was completed on the cherry blossom promenade at Harumi Triton Square.

You can see it until 16:00 on November 1st.

DSC02872 (360x202). jpg

This year's theme is "Thanks for the Power of Flowers-Flower Carpet of Space and Time". We will report the leaflet of the explanation you received along with photos. (I'm sorry that I couldn't capture the entire work.)

①Japanese crest coat of arms

DSC02876 (360x202). jpg

In the explanation of the leaflet, "We adopted a traditional Japanese pattern used when you're happy with the good luck. It is said to be a tree where the god of rice cultivation dwells, has the meaning of fertility, and it is the beginning of things because it is reminiscent of spring and sprouts, and "cherry blossoms" and "ume" = "birth", which are said to be very auspicious. It has a meaning, and it is designed with a motif of a Japanese pattern that resembles a "plum" that captures luck. ]

②Tradition

DSC02882 (360x202). jpg

"The motif of Katsushika Hokusai's Ukiyo-e expresses Harumi, the gateway to the sea. “People who live on the shores of the big swelling waves and Mount Fuji represent the origins of the Japanese people.”

③Present

DSC02886 (360x202). jpg

I was very energetic and thought it was a work that expresses the current Harumi.

④Future

DSC02892 (360x202). jpg

"Harumi, the gateway to the sea of Tokyo, is represented by Mizuno. The flow of water eventually grows into large trees, making Harumi a flower island full of flowers and greenery. The ball passed between athletes and animals is passed on to the children of the world, creating the future.”

⑤Fusion of coat of arms

In addition, a flower carpet of a work commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of Beatrix Potter, the creator of Peter RabbitTM, was also shown.

The flower carpet will be illuminated until 23:00 on October 31, so please enjoy the lit up flower carpet at night.

Rose hip, Rose berry (Tsukiji River Iwai Bridge Park)

[The Minnie Cricket] 16:00 on October 27, 2016

Tsukiji River Iwai Bridge Park is a park built beside the Iwai Bridge connecting Higashiginza and Tsukiji, and the Metropolitan Expressway Toshin Beltway runs below.

rosehip00.jpg

The park is generally made of brick-like, with 150 roses planted.

rosehip01.JPG

Now the rose hip of that rose is growing beautifully

rosehip02.JPG

Rose hip is the fruit of roses

rosehip03.JPG

It is famous as a rose hip tea, but rose hip oil is used as an edible oil for jam, Jerry, and marmalade, as well as for skin care.

rosehip05.JPG

The red berries of rose hips make you feel the season when it comes to Halloween.

Look not only at the flower season, but also at the fruit season.

Winter birds have arrived! Mallard, northern pintail, squirrel

[Usako of Tsukuda] 14:00 on October 24, 2016

The other day, I heard the news on TV that a swan came in. It was 4 days earlier than usual. When will northern pintail and gulls come here at Ishikawajima Park in the Sumida River? Bird watching has become a hobby from this year, unfortunately, I don't have any past data.

On October 12th, you can see a different silhouette from the usual Indian spot-billed duck! What is it?

One mallard male and two northern pintail females! It's been seven months since I didn't see you in March.

Mao mallard, called eclipse, is a sober color before it grows into beautiful feathers during the breeding season. When it grows, the head turns green.

On October 20th, we were able to see 2 male northern pintail! She looks very different from the female. These males are changing into breeding wings.

Two males jpg2 males and water surface. jpg

On October 22, a bird of the capital of Tokyo, a lily gull, has finally arrived! ! It's been five months since I crossed in May. There is no distinction between males and females.

Yurikamome. jpg

Winter birds come to Japan for wintering from Siberia. While in Japan, males are changing their wings beautifully to find a marriage partner. I'm glad you can see a beautiful look.

From now on, the number of northern pintail, the gull and the mallard will increase, and the variety will be added to the Eurasian wigeon, Hoshihajiro and tufted duck. I'm looking forward to it.

Bettara City

[Tachibana] 12:00 on October 21, 2016

Today (October 20), I went to "Bettara City".

It's very cold even though it's October when it's "Bettara City"! There are many days, but today's daytime was a warm day with a temperature rising to about 27 degrees, and it was not cold at all with a single shirt from evening to night.

This year, I entered from Sugimori Shrine.

sugi.jpg

Kagura was performed on the stage of the shrine.

sugi2.jpg

And at the Bon Dance Festival, people wearing the happi coat of "Bettara Ondo" danced.

There are many shops that are pickled in bettara, but broadly divided into two series, "Kinhisa" and "Shin Takaya".

kane.jpg "Kinkyu" is orange happi coat

niitakaya.jpg "Shin Takaya" is Blue happi coat

This year, I bought a piece of skinless strips at both shops.

In addition, a long-established store in Nihonbashi is also selling food stalls.

meijiya.jpgCoffee was cheap at Meijiya, so I bought it in a big bag.

kaisinn.jpg

funasa.jpgI bought Tsukudani at "Kaishin" and "Funasa".

yamamoto.jpg

"Yamamoto Nori" was a bargain.

In addition, bargain products were lined up at many shops such as "Bunmeido", "Ninben", and "Eel Isejo".

bunmeidou.jpgninnbenn.jpgunagi.jpg

After passing through Takarada Ebisu Shrine, I went to Umekatei to buy takarada.jpg"Kiri Yokan" and "Kiri Sansho".

baikatei.jpgUnfortunately, I couldn't buy it.
