Hamarikyu Onshi Garden is a treasure trove of plants and flowers, an oasis in the city, and a daimyo garden with a historical heritage representing the Edo period.
The only one in Tokyo metropolitan park is the Chisen-kaiyu garden that survives in the state of a tide pond, and the only place in Tokyo to see the Kamoba facility.
In addition to the nature of the four seasons, you can experience its history and culture.
In order to protect this cultural property garden and pass it on to the next generation, restoration and maintenance projects have been underway since 2004. .
Last year, the excavation of the masonry of Uchibori, which was built in the same way as the stone walls of castles such as Edo Castle, and the stairs-shaped dock were restored, and the appearance of the past was reproduced.
One of the five teahouses in the park, Matsuno Chaya, is currently under restoration.
At 11:00 and 14:00 on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays, volunteer garden guides (free) and guide terminals (advanced ubiquitous communicators) are being rented free of charge at any time.
Why don't you trip in the Edo period in a beautiful spring garden with 300,000 canola flower?

NHK Taiga drama series Ryomaden, which began in January, entered the second part in April. At the end of March, three explanation boards prepared by the Chuo-ku Board of Education were set up. Ryoma lived during the turbulent late Tokugawa shogunate period.
Why don't you visit the historic sites of Chuo-ku?
The explanation board (upper photo) of
the Tosa Domain Tsukiji House Ruins
It is located on the east side of the front of Chuo-ku government office.
This area was the place of worship of the Yamauchi family of the Tosa clan, and was originally a Shimoyashiki, and later a Nakayashiki. feudal lord during the late Tokugawa shogunate period was the 15th generation Yodo Yamanouchi. He promoted the reign of the great government and led the Meiji Restoration with Satsuma and Choshu. It is said that Hanpeita Takechi of the Tosa King Party went to Shigakukan Dojo (now Shintomi) in Shunzo Momoi from here. Sakamoto Ryoma also lived in this clan residence and went to Sadakichi Chiba Dojo in Kyobashi Okemachi (now Yaesu).
The explanation board (in the photo) of the "Sadakichi Chiba Dojo Ruins" is installed near the intersection of Kajibashi Street and Yanagi-dori St.
It is said that Ryoma went to Edo for the first time to practice swordsmanship at the age of 19 and entered Chiba Dojo. The dojo was said to be the dojo of Sadakichi, the younger brother of Shusaku Chiba, the founder of Hokushin Ichito-ryu, and was called "Kochiba Dojo" and "Okemachi Chiba Dojo". It seems that Sadakichi initially had a dojo in Shin-Takigi-cho (currently Nihonbashi Horidome), but later Oomiya version cut-out picture shows the name of Sadakichi Chiba at Kajibashi Kano Yashiki (currently Yaesu). He built an explanation board on this land.
By the way, Oke-cho was slightly north from here, so it was said that this area was commonly called "Kyobashi Oke-cho", or that it moved to Oke-cho after Kaji Bridge. It seems unknown.
The explanation board (bottom photo) of the Shozan Sakuma Juku Site, which received the teaching of artillery, is located east of Miyuki Street from Showa-dori.
Kaishu Katsu and Yoshida Shoin studied as junior students at Shozan Sakuma's cram school, which taught Western artillery and Dutch studies. It is said that Ryoma also entered the year he first came to Edo. The cram school was soon closed due to Shozan's involvement in the smuggling incident in Shoin.
○NHK Educational TV broadcast date and time = Thursday, April 8 22:00-22:25
"Ryoma's Journey with Ancient Maps" is scheduled for "The secret of direct biography", and the second is "City of encounters in Kurofune in Tokyo". Text is on sale. Will Chuo-ku be introduced?
○In the Chuo-ku History Walk, which is already reported in the ward bulletin "News of the Ward", the "outer moat Ruins and Ryoma Footprints" course will be held later this month as a 5th anniversary project of the volunteer guide Chuo-ku Cultural Property Supporters Association (application deadline has been completed).

"Ryomaden" is now being broadcast on NHK's Taiga drama series.
During the Edo period, the Tosa clan Nakayashiki was located on the site of the Tsukiji Police Station from the current Chuo-ku government office.
"Chuo-ku where Ryoma walked", why don't you walk waiting for an old map? On the left side of the first floor of Chuo-ku government office.
The Kyobashi district map (black and white) for 1857, 1911, 1932 and 1995 is available for a set of ¥ 420.
This is a color in my collection, but let's visit the old days and make new discoveries. The walk course is under the map.
①From the site of the Tosa clan Shimoyashiki (currently Chuo-ku government office), the site of the Hoshu Katsuragawa residence, the site of the Iwase Ichibei residence (Hagimoto),
Return to the Warship Fleet Training Center (Tsukiji Market), Akatsuki Park (Siebolt Monument), Okudaira Daizen Daio (Nakatsu Domain), Tanuma Genbanto House (formerly Asano House Ruins) Chuo-ku Office. This is an hour on foot.
Next is the Nihonbashi edition obtained from the Chuo-ku government office. Jisshi Park is called "Prison, Ishide sword".
①Following the Tsukiji course, let's go to Nihonbashi.
②From the site of the Tosa clan Shimoyashiki (currently Chuo-ku government office), Karaai Hikihashi (Miyoshi Bridge), Shiraoi Bridge, Dansho Bridge
Walk near the site of the Kajibashi Tosa Domain Kamiyashiki (currently Tokyo Forum), Okemachi Koba Dojo Ruins (currently Yaesu Book Center), take the Edo bus or free shuttle bus from the Yaesu North Exit, and get off at the Mitsui Museum.
An hour and a half on a course to visit Yoshida Shoin, which was captured and captured in trying to board a black ship at the ruins of the Juken store, the ruins of Nagasakiya that would have been affected, and the ruins of a prison in Kodemmacho within a 10-minute walk from there.
I'm looking forward to it! For the recommendation of the tourist association, click "Search for shops by genre" and "Eat".
