Last Saturday, 17th, an international exchange gathering was held at the Tsukiji Social Education Center (commonly known as Tsukiji Shakyo). The organizer is the Chuo-ku Cultural and International Exchange Promotion Association, but I was originally doing this volunteer staff, and on that day I also helped as a staff member. Until now, I've been working all the time during the holding time, so I've never experienced the events around me, but it's really fun to participate! From the 1st floor to the 4th floor of Tsukiji Shakyo, all reserved for this gathering! From ikebana, tea ceremony and dressing to wadaiko experience. There are few Japanese people who have experience. It's wonderful that you can experience it all at once in a day! The first floor is a wadaiko experience. The teacher will monetize everyone according to the sound of the depression drum in the example. When I asked the people who hit the drums together, I was excited, "Awesome !!"
The second floor is a dance corner, Japanese play and foreign play, salley dressing experience, etc. From 12:00, there was a Sri Lankan dance. It seems that the dance in the photo is a dance offered to God.
From 13:00, Bon Odori. This is a participatory type, I danced for the first time in 20 years, but recent Bon Odori dances are "Dancing Hero"!
On the third floor, there are many corners where you can experience mainly Japanese culture, such as ikebana, tea ceremony, and furoshiki. I also experienced furoshiki wrapping, but it was not very difficult to wrap it, it was beautiful in terms of art, and I was able to feel the goodness of furoshiki again.
In the tea ceremony, we also had Japanese sweets in earnest and delicious tea.
On the 4th floor, disaster prevention, crime prevention corner, Sri Lanka corner, cooking corner where you can eat Sri Lanka curry and kenchin soup, and international exchange corner.
At the disaster prevention corner, you can sample emergency food and see disaster prevention goods. The theme was international exchange, and we also offered disaster prevention information for foreigners. This kind of approach is important.
It was a very satisfying event with all kinds of experiences in a day. The Chuo-ku Cultural and International Promotion Association holds an international exchange salon once a month for the purpose of interacting with foreigners living and working in Chuo-ku. Especially for fruits and vegetables, it is commonplace to trade in boxes and cases, so I never had a lot of feet Fumiiri, but while most stores are cleaning up on this day, there is a lot of people.
