Imabari bath width imabari yokkin

[Silver] April 30, 2014 18:00

Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture is one of the leading producers of towels in Japan.

Recently, cotton has a reputation for being gentle on the skin and being warm.

There is a shop that sells such towel products near Tokyo Metro Higashi Ginza Station.

The name is "Imabari Bath", the reading method, and the English name is imabari yokkin.

Towel fabric muffler which is gentle to skin. I'm using it right away.

P1000622.JPG

And this is what I thought was good!

When I say "Pie Le Mans Thor" and think it's a bit chilly, I put my hand from my shoulder to my arm and put it on.

That's the price of less than 2,000 yen.

P1000621.JPG

Because it is small when you go out, you can put it in your bag.

I think it will be useful when the air conditioning is too effective on the train.

In addition, wonderful towel products such as bathrobes and robes are sold.

The address is Ginza 4-13-8 Sophia Square Ginza 1.

It is located on the first floor of the building in front of the restaurant "Ginnoto" from Higashi-Ginza Station.

Spring sailing "Teryo Maru"

[kimitaku] April 23, 2014 14:00

Walking around Harumi Park, where the cherry blossoms are scattered, the quay is noisy.

DSC_0002-1.jpg

They all line up on the deck and head to each place under command.

Onboard broadcasting, we are going to prepare for the departure. Everyone is moving quickly in each place.

DSC_0004-1.jpg On the quay, port staff in yellow clothes wait on their respective mooring ropes and wait for the support of the captain.

From the park behind I heard the sound of "Japanese white-eye" and "Japanese bush warbler". The park is somehow peaceful.

When I asked the port staff about the destination of the ship, he smiled and said, "I don't know where to go." .

DSC_0010-1.jpg

Shortly after, a "tugboat" arrived from Takeshiba on the opposite bank.

DSC_0014-1.jpg

I put a rope on "Teryo Maru" and started pulling it. Then the mooring rope was removed and the preparation for departure was completed.

DSC_0015-1.jpg DSC_0017-1.jpg

"Bou" a huge whistle roars in the sky.

The whistle shook his whole body and brought me back completely from the fall of spring.

Then, led by a towing boat, "Teryo Maru" passed through the Rainbow Bridge and headed to the open sea.

"Teryo Maru" seems to be heading for a survey of fisheries resources in the Pacific Ocean. And the port staff in yellow clothes also disappeared somewhere with a yellow port ship, and the towing boat heads directly to Takeshiba Wharf.

Occasionally, you can see such a boating scene at Harumi Wharf.

May 6th is the "half price market" of Tsukiji Outer Market!

[Apricot peony] April 23, 2014 09:00

Recently, I feel the impact of the consumption tax hike in the Tsukiji Outer Market is the "half price market"!

ck1203_20140422 (2). jpg

At Tsukiji Outer Market, which is also recognized by food professionals, about 300 stores are always looking forward to this event, where each of them turns "one dish" carefully selected from their specialty products into "half price" Isn't it?

The start of "half price market" is 10:00 am, but it is expected that it will be quite crowded on the day, so go early and first get a product that will be "half price" and a flyer with the location of the shop Get.

Let's check what you want.

There are some items with a limited number, so go to the shop you want at the same time as starting.

If the road is crowded and you can't pass, it may be faster to make a large turn from the other side of Harumi-dori St.

If you want to finish shopping and take a break, if the weather is nice, you can go to Tsukiji River Park behind Honganji.

Higashiginza and Ginza are also a short walk, so it may be a good idea to walk back there slowly.

And the next 7th is the annual "Nichikaichi" every month.

ck1203_20140422 (1). jpg

For a total of 2,000 yen for shopping receipts on the day, a lottery called "Ketsukoru" will be deducted once.

This month, a special set that allows 100 people with a special prize to compare the eating of 9 famous egg-yaki restaurants in the market.

And there are 400 tickets worth 500 yen that can be used in the out-of-market market.

It is an unusual opportunity to experience the slightly different tastes of egg-yaki and the differences in textures at each store.

Why don't you come here too?

Walking around Tsukuda in spring

[TAKK...] April 22, 2014 08:09

On a spring day, we decided to explore the historic sites and enjoy the flowers while strolling around the changing waterfront and the area around Ishikawajima and Tsukudajima.

map2.jpg

①The birthplace of Edo Minato

Departure at Shinkawa and Sumida River Terrace.
A monument indicating the birthplace of Edo Minato has been set up.
In the past, this area was once a departure and arrival point for passenger ship routes, and routes connecting Uraga, Misaki, Shimoda, Izu Islands, etc. were operated to Kisarazu in the direction of Boso, Tateyama, Sagami and Izu, and it was said that it was crowded .

tukuda01.jpg

②Reishi Island Current Strategies and Water Marks
This place was established in 1873 (1873), where the average tide level, which was the standard of altitude, was measured.
It conveys the historical significance of contributing to modern surveying in Japan to future generations.

tukuda02.jpg

③Kobashi Tsukuda and wisteria trellis
Crossing Chuo-ohashi Bridge, passing through Ishikawajima Park and Tsukuda Park, and coming near Tsukuda Kobashi, wisteria flowers were blooming.

tukuda03.jpg

I enjoyed weeping cherry tree too.

tukuda035.jpg

④Takasago
I've been walking quite a bit. I'm hungry, so I'm going to buy a lunch box with the meat Takashigo.
Speaking of Takasago, grilled pork and roast beef are famous, but side dishes such as croquettes and lunch boxes are also sold.
Everything looks delicious and turns out, but I made omelet and a lunch box called "Meat no Yama".

tukuda04.jpg

It is a famous restaurant that has won numerous awards.

⑤Ishikawajima Park
I decided to eat the lunch box I bought by Takasago in the park.

tukuda045.jpg

The view from the park is also peaceful and makes you feel very relaxed.

Well, it's the most important lunch, but first of all, omelet rice.

tukuda05.jpg

Below the egg, ketchup rice with corned grilled pork.

It's pretty powerful.

tukuda06.jpg

And this lunch box.

Croquette, shredded pork, ginger grilled pork and fried egg.

The fine pieces of roasted pork give the careful consideration to finish with curry flavor.

Also, it's hard to remember that fried eggs are served.

Roast beef and grilled pork are on the Internet, but for now, you can't buy lunch unless you go to the shop.

It was a course where you can enjoy seasonal flowers, historic sites, and great gourmet food.

Love the cherry blossoms (?) Where you get to and from the public bath...

[Kenken] April 12, 2014 09:00

This is the first appearance. My name is Kenken, who loves walking around the city and eating and drinking. Thank you very much.

By the way, on the weekend just before the end of the cherry blossom season, I took a walk from around Muromachi.

BOJ.JPG

A new facility was opened, and the cherry blossoms around Coredo Muromachi, which had been crowded with shoppers and meals, had a lot of leaves, but it was still visible around the Bank of Japan, a little far away.

I went to Nihonbashi. I wonder if the leaves were a little noticeable here.

Nihombashi Sakura.JPG

Akebono.JPGFrom there, take Chuo-dori to Ginza at once.

When you approach the Ginza 4-chome intersection, you will be attracted to the scent of sweet and good eggs and go to "Ginza Akebono" (Ginza 5-7-19).

At the store, "Ichigo Daifuku" called "Ginza Main Store Limited" was sold. If I noticed, I lined up in a line of about a few people and purchased four as souvenirs for my family. (The picture of Strawberry Daifuku, which is important, wasn't it?...

 Ichigo Daifuku.JPG

From here, enter one street and go to Suzuran Street. Actually, the real destination I've walked all the way from Muromachi is "Kinharuyu" (Ginza 8-7-5).

Konparuyu.JPG

Wouldn't it be better to refresh yourself in a public bath in the middle of the town when you get a little tired and sweaty?

As expected, a public bath in the downtown area. The hot water is slightly hot, 43.6 degrees Celsius. By the time I was able to massage my back, waist, and calf moderately on the jet bus, it was completely cherry-colored below my neck. (Sakura connection)

Well, the time went around 4 o'clock.

In addition to walking around the city, I feel a little hungry after taking a bath...And when I left Kinharuyu and returned a little toward Ginza 4-chome, Odenya's "Yasuyuki" (Ginza 7-8-14) has a good timing.Yasuko.JPG

Immediately pass through the counter in front of the pot and have a glass of draft beer. Oh, it's the perfect time. The shampooed hair was half-dried, and I received my favorite tofu and thread konjac.

Oden 2.jpg

It's almost transparent soup stock, but this is exquisite. The tofu tasted well and tasted good.

I drank two glasses of beer in good condition, so I feel quite good.

The town walk on this day was moderate and took a bus and hurried to the house.

Well, where should I go next?

April 13 is "Shintomi" Day

[Apricot peony] April 11, 2014 17:45

"Shintomi" is sandwiched between Tsukiji and Ginza.

In the past, "town" was attached to "Shintomicho".

The origin of the name is that it was given to Otomicho on the west side in 1871, and the "rich" of Shin-Shimabara's "new" and "Otomicho" were combined into "Shintomicho". There are two theories.

Speaking of Shin-Shimabara, at the beginning of the Meiji era, I guessed that a foreign settlement was created in Akashicho, just next to it, and eventually ended in a short period of time.

In such a relationship, Shintomi-cho had the Hanayanagi world until relatively recently, and at the time of the festival, "Shintomi-cho Geisha" was showing a glossy appearance.

And what should not be forgotten is Shintomiza.

Morita-za, one of Edo Sanza, moved from Saruwaka-cho to the current tax office in 1872, and was renamed Shintomi-za in 1875.

It became Japan's leading theater as a social venue for Civilization and enlightenment, but unfortunately it was burned down in the Great Kanto Earthquake.

It happened that there was a program from the Taisho era in my home, but a famous actor appeared, reminiscent of the situation at that time.

At present, Shintomi-za Children's Kabuki, which began to convey the tradition of such a "play town" to the present, has earned a reputation.

ck1203_20140409 (3). jpg ck1203_20140409 (2). jpg

Such Shintomi-cho is often said to be a hideaway area for adults known to those in the know.

However, isn't it a hideaway, but to let more people know the goodness of this town? The event called "Shintomi Day" will be held.

This event, which is the third time after repeated, will be held on the 12th (Sat) from 15:00 to 19:00 as the eve of "Shintomicho Ladder Sake".

They buy tickets common to each store and ladder 14 famous local stores.

Some people get acquainted while walking, and it's okay alone at all.

On the 13th (Sun), there will be a lecture by Takahiro Ebisawa in Shochiku costumes in the morning, and a lecture by Kabuki sommelier Kentaro Okuda in the afternoon + meal "Kabuki de Utage" and a public practice of Shintomiza Children's Kabuki. There is.

Furthermore, on both the 12th and 13th, Kabuki props and costumes will be released at the Japan Printing Hall, and mini cafes will be prepared.

It's a rare opportunity, so why not come to "Shintomi"?

In addition, some events require advance reservations and admission tickets.

In addition, please check the website "Shintomi-san" for details, including the exhibition time zone.
