"KYOBASHI EDOGRAND"OPEN

[Many Books] Nov. 16, 2016 14:00

I went to Kyobashi on November 14th.

"KYOUBASHI EDOGRAND" will be released to 2016.11.25.

In the context of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center (B1F and 1F) started work on November 19, prior to the 25th.

The 1st floor is a rest area.

The B1F was busy with preparation on the 14th as a place to provide tourist information and information.

I took a picture through the glass.

In front of this information center, "Kyobashi Molce" was also preparing to open a new store.

This store opens on November 15th. About 50 years ago, I loved "draft beer and tuna sandwich" since I was a student, and used it often when I went to Ginbra and Maruzen. The store closed about three years ago, and we were looking forward to opening. The photo shows the preparation for the 14th and the famous general manager Yamazaki. I'll take care of you again.

Find Chuo-ku in novels and dramas

[Chuo Kotaro] Nov. 15, 2016 09:00

When the depiction of Chuo-ku appears in dramas and novels, I just want to guess the place.

If you talk more than a long time ago, such as the Edo period or the Meiji period, "Is it around XX now?"
In modern stories, it's like "Oh, that's there," and I read it back and forth many times.
It's one of the pleasures when I read novels and watch dramas by being excited without permission.

"Amber's Dream" is now serialized in the Nikkei morning edition of culture.

This is a novel about the story of Shinjiro Torii, the founder of Suntory.

The author is Shizu Ijuin, and the times are from the middle of the Meiji era.

I read it interesting from the first episode, but the stage was in Osaka as much as possible, and it was not related to Chuo-ku, Tokyo at all, but the 121st to 131st series on November 1 (November 11) Shin Jiro comes to Tokyo with the servant's master (Gisuke Konishi) (in short, "business trip").

When I was wondering where it was in Tokyo, I was in Chuo-ku.

The depiction of the landscape is very specific.
At 7:40 in the morning, we arrived at Shimbashi (although not the current location but the former Shimbashi stop) and arrived at the main street in Ginza (Chuo-dori). "It's made of marble and red bricks. 。 Yes, I walk to Nihonbashi.

The place to stay is Bakurocho, and it says, "Dozens of Hatago were lined up on both sides of the street."
The southern side of the current Edo-dori St. was the main street on the Nikko-Oshu Kaido during the Edo period, so it was probably the inn where Shin Jiro and others stayed on this street, and from Nihonbashi, I imagine that it was around the Hamacho River.

So, of course, I'm doing business in Tokyo, so I'm going to visit a Western liquor wholesaler with my peers.
By the way, Shin Jiro's servant was a drug dealer in Osaka, and his master Gisuke was trying to expand into the production of Western sake. Therefore, the destinations are pharmaceutical shops and restaurants that handle Western liquor.

The destination of the drug shop is a drug wholesaler in Isecho (Nihonbashi Honmachi 2-chome, around the former Nishiborirugawa).
Is it around the current Astellas Pharma? I'm convinced that there was a lot of medicine shops around that area.

Then, we will visit a signboard shop (Western wholesaler) that wrote "wine" in Otemmacho.
At this Western liquor store, electric bran and "Kamiya" (although it is not directly in Chuo-ku) are familiar.

When the two walks, I am very excited that the Bank of Japan is "under construction".

Then, the biggest visit this time is "Kokubun Shoten". It is definitely located along the Nihonbashi River
I think it's Kokubu Building. It also depicts unloading goods (beer and wine) from the Nihonbashi River.

I'm always looking forward to reading this novel, but I've been particularly excited for the last 10 days.

Like this, I enjoy looking for Chuo-ku.

Well, where are these green trees?

[Marsha Horiuchi of Edo] Nov. 12, 2016 14:00

As you may already know, it is located in COREDO Muromachi.

The trees are located in the "Fukutoku no Mori" of Fukutoku Shrine.

I hope you enjoy the greenery of this winter season for a while.

Recently, I often see people walking here when visiting.

With the exception of the window, there are many pottery with colorful patterns.

The owner, Kazuo Kobayashi, is a Japanese mother whose father is an Austrian man.

It's very handsome.

I opened a store in Nihonbashi Ningyocho

It is also behind the alley of Ningyocho, which has a tasteful atmosphere.

It seems to be because we want our customers to see the pottery slowly.

Please enjoy colorful pottery at your side.

It would be great if you could make your meal time even more enjoyable as a companion to the dining table.

・・He spoke with a smile.

When you leave the store, you can see the clear autumn sky.

The Gumunden pottery in the window glowed very colorfully in the sun.
