"Takatora" in Hamacho

[Mumin] April 26, 2012 08:30

The name of Nihonbashihamacho is derived from the fact that it was a "hamabe town" facing the current Sumida River.

During the Edo period, along the Sumida River, warehouses of each clan were lined up, and it was known as a "craftsman" town.

In front of Hamacho Park, we talked to Kinya Takahashi, the second generation of Takatora Shoten, who produces many products that make Edo sake drops in the festival half-wear, Tenugui, merchandise bags, and Kakemori.

"Hamacho Takatora" had been working as a dyer in Ningyocho for generations before setting up a shop in Hamacho in 1948. According to those days, Kinya Takahashi is actually the sixth or seventh generation.

However, he does not stick to the tradition that has been going on for generations and thinks that it is important to do his own work, so he seems to have worked without being particular about what generations are.

There are six staff members of the shop, four of whom are craftsmen. There are many requests for demonstration sales in entertainment, such as department stores, so craftsmen take care of each business trip twice a week.

It seems that the creator is at the sales floor and receives orders, and it is possible to establish a trusting relationship even in the customer's preference.

This week, one craftsman is a department store in Hakata, and the other is a department store in Osaka. The store has a schedule for opening events for the month.

In the past, kimono dyeing was mainly used, but due to the passage of the times, work has been reduced, and we have come to work on products such as today's towels.

The towels are designed and dyed in various ways, such as Kuniyoshi's cats and Hokusai's Fuji, and Kabuki's 18th, incorporating the playfulness of Edo.

There are a lot of things from affordable products to art-like things, and it's fun just to look around the store.

Founded in 1861 [Kiyokazuken] Dorayaki and sheep liver

1. April 18, 2012 08:30

I don't have to dorayaki.

"Speaking of that," I remembered the dorayaki in a box containing the "Daifuku Book" that I had shown at another store before. I didn't have a chance to ask, thinking "in the meantime."

Kiyokazuken is a long-established store that has been around since the late Tokugawa shogunate period. Looking at the website, there was a note that the business hours were from 9:00 to 17:00 (closed as soon as the dorayaki was sold out).

We arrived at 14:30, and we were greeted by the sign below.

I was a little disappointed and arrived at 9:30 the next day. Obtain a large and small dorayaki and a sheep liver since its founding. According to the shop, it was sold out almost in the morning! It's going to do it. "It was unusual for that day to be open until the afternoon. ・I heard that it was amplified. 30 minutes earlier. ・・・・)

Founded in the first year of Bunkyu (1861), he is the seventh generation of his current husband. "The red beans are cooked over a thick heat for 4-5 hours without using a pressure cooker. Since the customer's preferences vary widely, it is difficult to match the tastes of all customers, but I would like to make sweets that more people think it is delicious. " It's a long-established spirit.

The cosmetic box of "Daifuku Book" is a stylish design that makes you enjoy watching.

Dorayaki large 210 yen, small 175 yen, Ogura sheep liver man rod 1,150 yen (there are other books)

By the way, the word "sheep liver" is derived from a place similar to the sheep's liver.

Kiyokazuken: 1-6-1 Nihonbashi Horidomecho TEL3661-0930 9: 00-17: 00 (closed as soon as dorayaki is sold out, closed on weekends and holidays)

Ningyocho Con held

[Old Counselor] April 17, 2012 08:30

201204141623000.jpgOn the way back from the pool on the afternoon of April 17, I came across a group of young people forming a line in front of an Italian restaurant.
There is a poster of "Ningyocho Con" at the restaurant store.

The mission of the tourist correspondent crossed his head, asked various questions to the staff of the shop, and collected the following information.

・10 stores near Ningyocho Station participated in the first Ningyocho Con.

・Events aimed at regional revitalization under the theme of "town," "meeting," and "gourmet."

・I want young people to find wonderful encounters by eating and drinking in Ningyocho.

・Initially, 200 people were planned, but there were many applicants, with a capacity of 400 people.

・Age conditions are between 20 and 39 years old.

・Both of the two restaurants visited by elementary school were full and many people waited inside and outside the rain.

It is an event that is not related to "old worshipers" like elementary school students, but I would like to long for the revitalization of Ningyocho and the good relationship between young people.

Kiyomasa Koji Temple in Nihonbashihamacho

[North Yujin] April 3, 2012 08:30

The flowering of cherry blossoms is delayed this year.

Thanks to that, I can see plums late.

You can see a small temple in a corner of Nihonbashihamacho Park.

This is a separate temple of Kumamoto Honmyoji, which was founded in 1861 by Hosokawa Saigo from Nichiren sect Honmyoji in Kumamoto in 1861 in this area, which was the lower residence of the Hosokawa Domain during the Edo period.

Of course, what is enshrined is the Duke of Kato Kiyomasa.

Kato Kiyomasa was a master and respected by everyone, so Tadatoshi Hosokawa, who was sealed after Tadahiro Nidai was remodeled, seems to have taken great care. It is said that this has gained the trust of the people.

The current Dou was rebuilt in 1959 (1959).

It's from the street next to Hamacho Park.

 Camellia and plums are competing.

 I'll go to the front.

 This is the whole view.

The white plum on the right is also in full bloom.

One more one on the way home.

There is Kato Shrine in Kumamoto Castle, but Shiba Shirokane's "Kakurinji" is famous in Tokyo.

This is said to have been founded in the Nakayashiki of the Kumamoto Domain by Ninobujo in 1631 (1631).

Mr. Kiyomasa is widely seen all over Japan.
