This event I'm looking forward to every year.

After all, as the title suggests, cultural events are held in various places in Chuo-ku, and the entire ward becomes a museum!

From the old days of Edo to the present, Chuo-ku, which has always been the center of Japan and has been at the forefront of the times while preserving tradition carefully.

On the day of the event, only the main ones, a city tour such as Ginza, Nihonbashi, Tsukiji, etc., a tour of the head office of the Bank of Japan, and a tour of the gallery in Ginza.
There are plenty of things such as a rickshaw experience at concerts, a navel exhibition that introduces the industries in the city at the Harumi Flower Festival, and a meeting of Yagenbori talks.

In addition, on this day, a free bus and boat operate, and the Edo bus of the community bus will be free to enjoy Chuo-ku plenty.
Oh, Chuo-ku's stomach! I'm going to scream.
It's great for those who want to participate in events in Ginza and Nihonbashi, but want to go to Harumi too.

One of the most recommended is a free boat with three coursesship.

On the Akashicho Waterside Line Tour Route and the Hakozaki / Harumi Route, you can see the Rainbow Bridge and Sky Tree from a perfect place, and it is the best if the weather is nice!
The Nihonbashi tour route is a great opportunity to see the roads and bridges that you usually walk from above the water.
In the Edo period, it was actually used as an important water transport, so it may be a good idea to think about that era.

Most of the events that still have many are free (some are paid), but some require reservations in advance, and buses and ships have time to operate, so the "Marugoto Museum 2012" Please see the homepage, the announcement of the ward dated October 21, and the detailed pamphlets distributed at the facilities of the ward.

If you look at the pamphlet and think about where to go, you will be excited now!happy02

Treasure Hunting-60th Chuo-ku Tourism and Commerce Festival-

[Apricot peony] October 18, 2012 13:00

ck1203_1210181.jpg
The Chuo-ku Tourism and Commerce Festival has finally begun!

During the period from October 1st (Mon) to November 20th (Tue), there are a lot of events, including live performances, stamp rally and various events, and I can't wait to see this time every year!

Among them, what I am looking forward to is the "treasure hunting game".

ck1203_1210182.jpg
Problem papers are distributed at stores and facilities in Chuo-ku, and based on the hints written there, search for the place where the treasure chest is placed.

There is always a story related to Edo, and this time, a clue to Ieyasu Tokugawa obtained and searched for "Yatoku's jewel" with Jan Jooss Ten as the guardian was found during the renovation work at Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station, so search for "Hoju" based on that! Therefore, if you do not know the history, famous places and historic sites of Chuo-ku, you will not be able to easily reach the hidden places.

Last year, it was difficult not only to search for treasure chests, but also to unravel the encryption based on the keywords written there, and there were Braffs and fake treasure chests, so I was able to get along with people who were looking for hints and get closer to the geography in the ward, and met people who were looking in the same way at the place where the star was attached, and managed to get along.

This year, the total prize money and prizes will be 5 million yen! It's a big behaviour, so if you think it would be difficult, simply search for 8 keywords and OK!
I can't go around in one day, so I divide it into three times and complete the mission!

ck1203_1210183.jpg
In order to walk all over the place, I also participated in stamp rally, an antenna shop in various places.

Of the 17 stores in total, 12 stores are eligible to apply for stamps, but all 17 stores are cleared at will.
It was just the time of new rice, so it was fun to see the naming of rice in various places.

The antenna shop stamp rally is closed on October 18 (Thursday), but the treasure hunt is open until November 4 (Sunday).

If you are interested, please join us.

Ningyocho Tenten Festival

[Mumin] October 12, 2012 08:30

October 8 The 24th Tenten Festival was held on Ningyocho Odori on the day of the autumn weather.
The Tenten Festival is an autumn event in Ningyocho, which is held around October 10 every year.
In connection with "Totsuki (October) and "10th)" until childbirth, this name was given in hope of safe delivery.

On the day of the event, there was a marching band march and a therapy dog show on Ningyocho Odori, a naughty sumo wrestling, a product corner in Numazu and Utsunomiya, a lottery distribution and a raffle.
Last year I missed the lottery, but this year I got it.
In addition, there was an electric hot carpet. I'm looking forward to winter now.

There was a lemonade stand of RINNA in one corner of the venue. This stand sells lemonade juices at a volunteer shop for children and their families fighting childhood cancer, and donates all proceeds to NPOs and organizations for children with childhood cancer.

I purchased vegetables, rice, yakitori, salted sweetfish, and lemonade sold directly from the production area. The chanko pot made by wrestlers in the Arashio room was also delicious. The prize was a good day for the lottery.

The site of the play town in Ningyocho

[North Yujin] October 11, 2012 09:00

If you walk a little north on the west sidewalk of the Ningyocho intersection, you will see the explanation board of "Sakaimachi / Fukiyacho Theater Ruins" in the planting.

Sibaimachi 009.JPG

 I will introduce the explanation.

Site of the play town of Sakaimachi and Fukiya-cho

 Location 3-2-7, Nihonbashi Ningyocho, Chuo-ku

It is said that Sakaimachi was raised by reclaiming the swamp during the Keicho era (1596-1615), and in 1656 (1656), Kami-Sakaimachi in the western half was divided as Fukiya-cho, and Shimo-Sakaimachi in the eastern half remained as Sakaimachi.

During the Edo period, playhouses and teahouses surrounding them were gathered around this area, and it was very lively. Among the playhouses, there were Nakamura-za and Ichimura-za (other than Morita-za near Ginza 6-chome), which performed Kabuki, among the government's plays called Edo Sanza, and there were also many playhouses in puppet ballad drama. Nakamura-za, the leader of Edo Sanza, was Kansaburo Saruwaka, who moved from Kyoto to Edo, founded Saruwakaza (later Nakamura-za) in Nakahashi Minamichi (currently around Kyobashi 1-chome) in 1624 (1624). This was the birthplace of Edo Kabuki, which is connected to the present. Moved to Negimachi (currently around Nihonbashi Horidomecho 1-chome) in 1632 and to Shimo-Sakaimachi in 1651 (1651), and named Nakamura, his last name, at the time of Kanzaburo, he was renamed Nakamuraza. did. During this time, in Sakaimachi, Toza was founded in Kami-Sakaimachi in 1633 and Murayama-za (later Ichimura-za) was established in 1634.

puppet ballad drama came down from Kyoto ahead of Kabuki. It seems that the performance began in 1617 (1617) in the same area of Nakahashi as Saruwakaza. After moving to Negimachi in 1632, it was moved to Shimo-Sakaimachi in 1651. There were many playhouses in puppet ballad drama, including Edo, Satsuma, Tamba, Temma, Tosa, Toraya and Hizen.

The playhouses in Sakaimachi and Fukiya-cho stand up Saruwaka 1-chome to 3-chome (currently around Asakusa 6-chome, Taito-ku) from 1842 (1842) to the following 14 years due to the reform of Tenpo. Until it was moved, it was here around 200 years ago.

In recent years, excavations have been conducted at Nihonbashi Ningyocho 3-chome, and relics related to teahouses and plays have also been excavated.

There is a map of Toto famous places, so I will introduce it.

Is Higashiborirugawa in the front and Nakamuraza in the back of the street?

I walked through the alley, but today, 170 years later, it has changed completely.

However, I would like to introduce two traces left.

On the other side of this explanation board, there is "Sanko Inari Shrine".

At the entrance of Ningyocho-dori side alleyway, you can see the explanation board of "Sanko Inari Shrine".

Sibaimachi 007.JPG

I'll introduce you.

The origin of Sanko Inari Shrine

 enshrined deity Sanko Inari Oga

      Tadokoro Inari Daimyojin

In 1924, the former Hase Kawamachi and the former Tadokoromachi merged in the land readjustment, and the current Horidomecho 2-chome

As it has become, Tadokoro Daimyojin is also enshrined at this shrine.

It is said that Osaka Kabuki actor Sanjuro Seki, who appeared in Nakamura-za, was invited by Fushimi.

This shrine, which is transmitted, has a record in "Edo Sokako" in Genroku 2 (1689).

It is presumed to be before that.

The forehead in the upper right of worship hall, “Nihonbashi Ward, guardian angel Sanko Inari Shrine” is Kanda-jinja Shrine.

      It is his writing.

 Edo period

Nearby are Yoshiwara and Kabuki huts Nakamura-za and Ichimura-za, as well as puppets and puppet ballad drama.

There is a hut, etc. in the background (Edo Rakugo) is "Sanko Shindo" and "Sanko Shrine".

      It was about to appear.

Since ancient times, there have been many visits by daughters, children, geisha, etc., and especially when you lose sight of cats, ask them.

It's said that there's a spiritual test. A stone monument named "Sanko Inari Shrine approach" and a cat figurine on the grounds

It was erected and dedicated to the cat's return safely.

From this wording, you can remember the state of the traditional play town.

  Next is "Inari Inari".

This was found on the wall of a shop that went out of Ningyocho 3-chome on the former play town side and entered Horidome 1-chome.

I'll introduce you.

The origin of the success of Inari

In the Edo period, the Inari site is Inari, 16, 17, and 18, Shin-Takigicho.

A long time ago, Ieyasu Tokugawa entered the castle around 1580 (1590), this area was a village called Shibahara-juku.
