Antenna Shop 1 in Nihonbashi ★Nara Mahoroba Hall

[Mapo ★] September 17, 2009 10:00

There are several antenna shops in Nihonbashi.
As soon as the exit A1 in front of Mitsukoshi rises, Nara Mahorobakan is located.

There is a Sento-kun at the entrance!

It seems that Sento-kun will come to 17.18 in September.
It seems that you can take a commemorative photo (laughs).
What does it look like when it comes to a costume?

There is also a Japanese-style cafe in the Mahoroba-kan.
There is also a persimmon leaf sushi set, which looks like Nara.

There was also a goods sales floor, so one clear file you are collecting.
It's quite reasonable at 280 yen per one!

Next year there will be the 1300 Festival of Heijo Recapitalization.
It seems that various events are being planned.

Town Walking “Industrial Course” Nihonbashi③

[Yurikamome] September 10, 2009 09:00

Wednesday, September 9 10:00-12:00 Tour participants 10 tourist association 1 correspondent 2 total 13 people

Kiya (knife) → Nihonbashi Kaishin (Tsukudani) → Bunmeido Nihonbashi Store (Castella) → Shigeru Kami (Hanpan, Kamaboko)

After receiving a fun and meaningful explanation, we had a tour of the inside of the store and had souvenirs, and toured the Nihonbashi area, lined with long-established large stores that continued from the Edo period to the beginning of the Showa era as Japan's first fish market.

2009_090909 Description at Kiya. JPG

Kubei Hayashi, the first Kiya Honke, was a medicinal dealer for the Toyotomi family, but the younger brother of Ieyasu's invitation, descended to Edo and opened a shop in Honmachi 2-chome.

Since the Osaka store was divided into two, the forest with the last name was divided into two and called "Kiya".

The difference between Kanto and Kansai kitchen knives in Tokyo has a round part in front of the blade.

In Kansai, the part in front of the blade is cornered.

How to sharpen kitchen knives

Use a commercially available cleanser to polish it.

The angle of the kitchen knife against the whetstone should be sharpened while keeping the same angle until the end.

※ The chrome stainless steel key ring with a picture of "Edo Nihonbashi", which was created to commemorate the 200th anniversary of its founding in 1792, is still gaining popularity among customers, so we still create the same one and distribute it to customers. We also received it.

About 400 years ago, the beginning of Kaishin was dedicated to the palace with the specialty of Ise and Kuwana.

120 years ago, he opened a store in Tokyo with goodwill, and since then he has preserved the taste without mass production, and still cooks Tsukudani every day at the factory behind the main store. Except for the stirrer, it is manual work.

I visited the clam Tsukudani factory.

The tasting of hot clams boiled in soup stock was very delicious.

Only the participants discounted the products of your shop by 2 discounts, and I bought a lot of expensive Tsukudani.

Nihonbashi Bunmeido

The birthplace of Castella is the Iberian Peninsula, Spain.

In 1571, a Portuguese ship entered Nagasaki as a place of trade.

In 1592, Toan Murayama presented castella to Hideyoshi at Hizen Nagoya.

After watching the explanation of the castella manufacturing process in the video, we received delicious castella and tea.

Shigeru Kami

In 1596, Ieyasu Tokugawa opened a fish market in Nihonbashi, and the Muromachi area prospered as a fish shore.

The first was Kanzaki Yachoemon, and later became Saburo Shigeru again, and the owner named Shigesa Daidai.

From the Meiji era, he took Kanzakiya's "God" and Shigeru Saburo Shigeru's "Shigeru" and called himself "Kanmo".

"Half-pen," ...

Shark fins are said to be three bales, and during the Edo period it was one of Nagasaki Trading's export seafood and was an important export source of Edo shogunate.

The sharks after taking the "fin" were traded in a large number of fish markets in Nihonbashi, and the beginning was made by Kamabokoya using the manufacturing method of "Shinjo".

The half of Shigeru Kami is still made of shark body and yam.

It is manufactured underground in the store.

It seems that he paid "Okamaboko" only for the throne of Emperor Meiji, Emperor Taisho and Emperor Showa.

We had a taste of kamaboko.

"Oden" in the bag I bought as a souvenir was very delicious because it contains eight kinds of seeds.

2009_090909 Kami Shigeru Okami 2.JPG

The above photo shows "Okami" which supports a long-established store.

While talking to us, he taught us the importance of care and attention.

When he married himself, he worked on the spot.

The fact that such a person welcomes us at your store reminds us of the importance of the connection between people who are lost, as well as the feeling of buying Kamaboko in a long-established store.

This course is scheduled again on October 7 (Wednesday).

We are still accepting it. Please join us.

"La Dolce Vita" @ MANDARIN ORIENTAL TOKYO

[Satsuki Yanagi] September 9, 2009 17:00

The shine6-star luxury hotel "MANDARIN ORIENTAL TOKYO" is located in the Mitsui Tower, which is located alongside Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi and Mitsui Main Building.

mandarin1.jpgThis is "Happi" which is sold on the first floor.

mandarin21.jpgOn the second floor, a buffet-style restaurantItalian restaurant "VENTAGLIO" floating in a bright atrium (Venn Tario is a [fan] in Italian, a mark of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel!) There is a set of Petit Gato and drinks sold at GOURMET SHOP (Gourmet Shop) on the first floor (¥1400 to no service charge), and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, you can enjoy dessert buffet (¥270 separately) called "La Dolce Vita" (¥270)heart04

In fact, I have been going around twice a month since it was just opened ... (However, if it was too long, there was no change in items so much. Recently, I've been bothering each season.) I was very interested in that chef de Patissier, who was appointed to this hotel, studied at Mr. Inamura of Hotel Seiyo Ginza, moved to the Roppongi Hills Club, and also learned that he was a chef Hiroshi Igarashi, who has also won global awards.

mandarin11.jpg

It starts at 15:00, but even if we arrive 15 minutes ago, there are queues with people waiting. When it's time, I'll show you to your seat one by one.

The photo above is shortly after the buffet started, but don't get in the way while many people are taking it on the plate ... I tried my best, but it was almost impossible.coldsweats02

Anyway, 2 kinds of Antome (hall cake), several kinds of cut cakes, Petit Eclair & Shoo, Demy Sec (half-life baked confectionery), Sablere, Bonbon o Chocolat, kugrof, Petide Niche, Chocolat fondow, fruit compote, various kinds of glass desserts, sandwiches, salty, etc ... There are also corn sare (s, etc.

And when they are gone, different items come out one after another.sign01mandarin13.jpg

mandarin12.jpg
Antleme (hall cake) is also matcha mousse, chocolate le (milk chocolate) & pistasch mousse, Paris brest, Chocolat mousse & Banner Numusse, Gato Chocolat, Mont Blanc, etc. ... Gomennasai, I can't write cryingit. This Mont Blanc, as expected, came to the time of chef Inamura of "Hotel Seiyo Ginza", and assembling and dough (Chief Igarashi is a chestnut powder (?) It seems to be a little different, but I am very happy because the parts such as claim pastière, claim shanti, and marron gasse are similar.heart01

As for drinks, there are 3 to 4 recommended teas for each season, and the hotel's original "Mandarin Oriental Tea", several flavor teas, coffee (hot & ice) including cafe au lait and cappuccino etc. You can also order.

Oh, I forgot! As usual, glasses and Sorbe (ice cream & sherbet) are distributed, but on this day there was a "shaved ice" machine, where you could make your favorite shaved ice with several toppings and sauces.

mandarin10.jpg

Here, among those who go around dessert buffets at various places, it seems that there is an evaluation that there is "Patch & Hazure" such as "I didn't do that today" or "I was only cut cake" ... I don't expect "I can always get that cakesign03", but I think it's better to enjoy Sweets that day, "What can I do today?"heart04

Delicious and cheap shop Part2

[Silver] September 8, 2009 18:00

I think everyone wants to walk around the city and take care of a delicious and cheap restaurant for daily lunch. Today, I'm starting Yasuaki Elementary School, walking to Ryogokubashi, and introducing restaurants and Japanese-style cafes that sometimes take care of me near my workplace.

Ginza Blossom (Chuo Kaikan)

You will be greeted by paradise bird flowers at the entrance and foliage plants of Monstera.

Ginza Blossom. jpg

When you enter the restaurant, there are a lot of delicious menus.

Ginza Blossom R2.jpg

The store manager's recommendation. Wagyu beef stew, ¥1200.

Brosam recommended 1.jpg

I'm a bowl of rice this week. Let's make it 600 yen for a handbill or a tuna sesame flavor bowl of ¥700.

Brosam recommended 2.jpg

Another recommendation of the store manager. Napolitan 600 yen.

Brosam recommended 3.jpg

Previously, when I came to a doctor's opera presentation, I had a beer and whiskey water during the intermission.

I received it, but it is also recommended for a little parka.

If you don't have this even in cold summer (Part 2)!

[Satsuki Yanagi] September 4, 2009 17:00

The other day, I introduced "Hojicha Shaved Ice" by "Morinoen" in Ningyocho amazake Yokocho. However, in fact, this is also a big favorite, and I was able to manage this year, and I was calm down, saying, "Oh, it's okay to fall anytimeconfident!"

What is his favorite is the shaved ice that you can get at the Nihonbashi Main Store Cafe Room "Setsugetsuka" at Nihonbashi Main Store, a long-established sweet shop at Nihonbashi Motobu, which Chuo-ku is proud of, or Japan is proud of.smileheart04

eitaro4.jpg

This is the real thing I received the other day.
Homemade strawberry syrup with strawberry pulp is at the bottom, with large cut fresh fruits, vanilla ice cream, and strawberry sauces. This homemade strawberry syrup is very deliciousnote.
And "Setsugetsuka" also loves the cozy reason. Even if you don't offer it here, you can pour tea over and over again, and you really feel the heart of "Please relax"!

However, on the day, I only took this picture, and when I saw it later, the color is not good ... bearingand there are many other delicious shaved ice and sweet menus ... ... ... "flairYes, let's take a menu sample lined up at the entrance of the coffee room (of course, if you can get permission), "I'll take a menu sample lined up at the entrance of the coffee room!"

If you are in charge of sales at the store, would you like to take mobilephonea copy of the menu sample because you are a correspondent of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association and are reluctant to introduce it in the photo of the other day? I asked (what I was bold and invincible ... while heart02I was thrilled).

The coffee room "Setsugetsuka" was different in charge, so I was transferred to the person in charge.

And it was Hiroshi Kobayashi, President and CEO of "Eitaro Yukigetsuhana Co., Ltd."

I was so afraid that I felt that my height was 10% shorter.coldsweats02

However, here I would like to introduce the shinebeauty of Chuo-ku to everyone who looks at the correspondent blog of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, a strong MISSION (Mission ... Well, I'm sorry for the over!) For this reason, I have made a request.

・・・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ (It is dangerimportant from here) Since the menu sample is illuminated from behind, If you try to take a picture from the front, it will be backlight ...

If I was a little in trouble, I immediately noticed and said, "Wait a minute!" And guided me to the back of the glass showcase shelf where menu samples are lined up, open the back door, and many shaved ice There were six kinds of them out of them and arranged them on the table.shine

I took only a few pictures with a trembling hand. Please eyetake a look at two of them.sign01

eitaro2.jpg eitaro1.jpg

Of these, the first row, "Ome's shaved ice" on the left is also one of my favorites. If you have heard before, this plum syrup is sold at stores.heart

After that, fearfully, President Kobayashi put the menu sample into a glass showcase shelf ... (I can't help anything during that time ... I'm sorry ...)weep .

Thank you very much, Mr. Kobayashi.

Finally, there are plenty of other menus, such as various shaved ice and sweet menus that can be enjoyed outside summer, and meals that are often sold out at lunchtime! !

・・... However, I came back without checking the name and price of the menu, and even though President Kobayashi came, I didn't get any words I'm sorry. I would like to apologize to you here ... Please forgive me.
