Which of the following is the origin of the naming of "YUITO"? The answer is at the end of this article.
A: A coined word derived from "Yuto", which means Urban Square that connects the capital, people, and time.

The shining Japanese cuisine "Nihonbashi Yukari"

[Satsuki Yanagi] June 29, 2011 08:30

Even during the rainy season, the climate is unstable, with midsummer days coming.

At this time, the physical condition tends to be unstable.

On a daily basis, rather, I tend to be biased toward SWEETS (sweets). Let's nourish with proper food! And we went to lunch at a famous Japanese restaurant "Yukari Nihonbashi".

P1050676.jpg

"Yukari Nihonbashi" has been a purveyor of Imperial Household Agency for three generations.

Currently, Mr. Kimio Nonaga, the third generation who won the 2002 JAPAN CUP, is wearing his skills.

I asked you to make a reservation in advance for [Yukari Gozen], which is limited to 10 meals a day.

[O-through] Under the bright green leaves and flowers of hydrangea that feel the season ... Ome's cold kan

      P1050678.jpg P1050679.jpg

It's [Yukari Gozen]. It comes with rice, fragrant food and red soup. P1050683.jpg

[Appetizer]: Seasonal ingredients [Ozukuri]: Included (I'm happy with the sea grapes!)         P1050685.jpg P1050687.jpg

[Boiled food]: Kagoshima black pork stew [fried food]: Assorted with hand-made shinjo-bababa wrapped fried chicken         P1050686.jpg P1050689.jpg

From each preparation ... Everything is carefully hand-worked.

For example, even if it was a shrimp, one of the appetizers, how much was shot in the kitchen knife on the back!

               P1050690.jpg

Although it is compact, I think men will be satisfied with both content, number of items and volume.

Finally (my secret fun ...)

[Desert]: Iced black honey of black beans and kinako!

I fried rice with fried rice (?) The rice puff was crisp and accented.

              P1050692.jpg

I was able to have a very fulfilling lunch time.

Ukiyo-e (Part 4) that decorates shutters in the Nihonbashi area

[Yurikamome] June 25, 2011 08:30

I walked a lot in search of the ukiyo-e picture drawn on the shutters of the Nihonbashi district.

Walking along a road that you didn't know about, watching beautifully blooming flowers ... finding a small park ... I had a good time.

I would like to end with this "Part 4", but only the tofu shop "Futaba" was unable to take pictures because Japanese shop curtain was on the picture at any time.

Today is an ukiyo-e that I couldn't see even if I visited the Kyobashi area.

The upper left of the picture above is taken in detail.

When I talked to the person who was cleaning the shutter that had been up once in the table of "Hotel Kazusaya", he dropped the shutter again.

Thank you ... thank you ...

The creator, Akiko Fukunaga, was a young person and worked hard in front of the shutter.

I was impressed that it was a wonderful thing, and her feelings were conveyed.

I think that many young people besides Akiko Fukunaga were involved in the production of shutters in Chuo-ku.

I strongly felt the support of young people who protect the history and culture of Edo.

"Nihonbashi Information Center" which was good to open.

[Satsuki Yanagi] June 24, 2011 08:30

Recently, a Frenchman I knew suddenly came to Japan and suddenly returned to Japan.

"I'm going home tomorrow. Before that, let's have a dejune (lunch) together. "It was just after 18:00 on Saturday the previous day.

Oh, I'd like to give you a little "souvenir" ...

It is a small thing that is not bulky and has nothing to do with the expiration date, etc. (I like Japanese history, culture, and art) It is Saruya's [chip toothpick].annaijo1.jpg

"Saruya," HP: http://www.saruya.co.jp/

So, I saw the type of product, etc. ... I suddenly crossed my head

"Maybe Sunday may be a regular holiday ..."

As expected, the website also has a regular holiday on Sunday and public holidays.

After I was in trouble, I remembered "Nihonbashi Information Center" underground in Coredo Muromachi! !

There was a line of recommended products from each long-established store in Nihonbashi.

  annaijo2.jpg

“Nihonbashi Information Center” website: http://www.nihonbashi-tokyo.jp/information_center/index.html also provides information on products handled.

It was really helpful this time! "I'm glad I opened it!"note

There is also a "resting place" at the back of the Nihonbashi Information Center.

Yamamotoyama You can take a break with your tea (¥ 300 ~)!

(The picture is very difficult to see ... please understand.)

annaijo4.jpg

[A long-established tea 3 kinds plate set] The above three types:

Etc.

annaijo5.jpg

After that, a French friend who returned to Japan said, "Recently, I see toothpicks in various countries other than Japan, but it's such a surreal (cool ... cool, ... cool ... ... I've seen it for the first time! It is made of high-quality materials, is beautifully packaged one by one, and the package (paulownia box) is beautiful. It's wasteful, and it's displayed on the dining table!"

"Because it's worth it. I will buy it again when I come back, so please use it without worrying. "... The next "souvenir" is also decided without having to worry!

Lunch with wine at Mercian Salon is 1050 yen.

[Mapo ★] June 18, 2011 08:30

Go straight along Yaesu Street at Tokyo Station.
Turn right at Bridgestone and you will find the headquarters of Mercian.
There is a restaurant on the first floor of the head office.
There is a big bottle of wine at the entrance, so you can see it right away.

RIMG6058.JPG

There are several kinds of lunch menu.
It's 1050 yen with today's wine! It's cheap~ (*^^*)

On this day, I went to Meijiya for an interview.
I went with Mr. Kusano of the tourist association.

I'm a hamburger lunch.
It's a handmade hamburger, it's very juicy, good!
And Mr. Kusano is Hayashi rice limited to 15 meals.
It seems that this was also rich and delicious (*^^*)

RIMG6039.JPG RIMG6041.JPG

The amount of wine is a little less.
Because it is an office district, there are many OLs, and everyone is working in the afternoon (laughs).
But I think you can drink another wine for 210 yen.★

RIMG6037.JPG RIMG6036.JPG

By the way, today's wine is a chili Mellow wine.
It was very easy to drink.

Chateaumelcian Koshu Kiiro incense and Nagano Merlot, etc.
Wines that appear in comics and drops of God can be drunk in glasses and bottles.

Due to the location, weekends and holidays are closed, but it is a salon with high ceilings and a nice atmosphere.
I'm glad that you can enjoy a lunch that is kind to your wallet.♪

Yakitori that Yasujiro Ozu loved - Isehiro Kyobashi Main Store

[Vickie] June 17, 2011 09:00

By the way, the other day, I chose a yukata cloth at Chikusen-san and was very satisfied Saturday afternoon.

Similarly, with a tailored yukata and a wonderful obi in hand, with a good mood boss, we like an Edo kid who is already enjoying the dusk in early summer!

However, the soba shop, which has been favored everyday, is closed everywhere. I'm sorry.

I was confused, and decided to head to Isehiro of Kyobashi with the connection of Edo's "Iki". There's a little distance from Chikusen-san, so if you get off at Let's Go! "Kyobashi 1-chome" with a local foot / metro link, the shop is right there. It's a really convenient bus.♪

                       2011061117430000 Omise.jpg

This is the exterior. If you walk a little, it is close to Yaesu and Ginza, and it is located in Kyobashi, lined with high-rise buildings, creating a nostalgic atmosphere only here.

It was founded in 1921. I feel the history. By the way, it was the year when Takashi Hara was assassinated at Tokyo Station (... don't young people know?) 。

Because it's Saturday night, it's almost full of reservations.

2011061117490000 Yakite-san.jpgI was asking if it was a counter seat, but it was the best seat to be called "It's Yakitoriya!" in front of the yakiter! (Because there is a glass partition in front of the seat, you don't have to worry about moky in front of your face.)

We had 12 full courses. As the name implies, "Taste the whole bird", you can taste the birds so that the wings are likely to grow after the meal!

Large enough to bake in Bincho charcoal with strong thermal power. It may be perfect for Edo kids who don't like to make a mistake.

6,300 yen, which starts with bamboo sashimi and tastes chicken soup. For those who want to enjoy more casual, lunch is recommended! The full lunch course is 3600 yen with 9 soups. "3-bondon", which is limited to one hour from 13:00, is a great deal for 1,000 yen on a popular thigh meat, dumplings, and bamboo sashimi!

2011061122170000 Kanban.jpg

A splendid wood carving sign displayed outside the shop. If you look closely, it is carved to cut off the outside of the letters, and the letter "Isehiro" is raised.

It's the first shopkeeper's commitment to saying, "It's absolutely useless to hollow the name of the shop!" I see, the stubbornness of Edokko is transmitted.

However, why is there no photo of the most important yakitori this time? Before I held my camera, I wanted to eat freshly baked sweets immediately, so I came out!

I think I'm the most Edo kid. It's hard (laughs)
