A specialty cafe born in "the best place in the world"-Akagiya Coffee

[Vickie] Nov. 30, 2011 08:30

Take the metro link you love today to Takashimaya ... that? Did you have a cafe in such a place? Then, I got off in a hurry and infiltrated "Akagiya Coffee".

Akakiya Securities is a building that towers dignifiedly at the Nihonbashi intersection, opposite COREDO Nihonbashi. I wonder if there is a modern cafe on the first floor there.

A very stylish atmosphere. Despite being modern, do you say it's somewhere Nihonbashi-like?

The inside of the store is wider than I expected, and the counter on the left. I'm shy. Today's coffee is 290 yen. It's about the same price as a certain Starbucks. Looking at the back of the shop, I wonder if there is something particular about ... something big machine.

This is the "complete hot air method" roasting machine. It seems that there are only a few cars in Japan yet. Yeah. This machine has a considerable presence in the stairwell store up to the 2nd floor!

Well, take today's coffee and butter toast to the second floor.♪

The brand-new wooden table and chairs are very nice. It's comfortable to sit down. I wish I had brought it in a novel, but it's okay! I secured a seat by the window overlooking the intersection. Here you can spend a lot of time while enjoying delicious coffee.

In 1929, Akakiya Securities took root in Nihonbashi, saying, "If you do business, you will be the best place in the world." Cored Nihonbashi across the other side was still "Shirakiya" ... it was an afternoon time to think about the history of Nihonbashi.

This is a limited-time store opened with Akakiya Securities when it was rebuilt in 2014 (due to a redevelopment project around Nihonbashi Takashimaya) to "contribute to local people."

Isn't Kanzaburo Nakamura of the future? ~ Shintomiza Children's Kabuki

[Vickie] Nov. 29, 2011 18:26

Do you know "Shintomiza Children's Kabuki" by children in Chuo-ku?

In Chuo-ku, the birthplace of Edo Kabuki, I am impressed by the young generation still working hard to inherit that tradition.

Today's stage is the central hall on the 1st floor of Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi, a large stage commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation!

When I was waiting with a light feeling, "Is the little kids dancing cute?", I was surprised at the dignified dance for a while.

I'm impressed by the dignified appearance of the screen behind, even more the statue of the heavenly woman! The crowded customers and foreigners were watching closely. By the way, today's performances are "Kotobuki-style Sanbaso" and "Shiranami Five Men". Even as an adult, it seems difficult to understand properly.

I was watching at the end, so I saw a little at the back of the stage sleeves, but the little kids actors waiting for the turn said, "Wow, I'm nervous!" I could see what I was saying, and this was a childish and smiling!

From the children's hard work, we are sure to get power.

The next performance will be the "Setsubun Festival" at Tepposu Inari Shrine on February 5, next year, so please look forward to it!

Nihonbashi Intersection "Akagiya Coffee Akakiya Kohi" OPEN

[Satsuki Yanagi] Nov. 9, 2011 08:30

Nihonbashi intersection where Minamichuo-dori St. and Eitai-dori St. in Nihonbashi intersect.

Until a while ago it was an intersection surrounded by office buildings and large commercial facilities.

Even if I wanted to take a break, I couldn't find a cafe that would be easy to enter without going a little further ...

akagiya1.jpg

One corner, on the 1st floor of Akakiya Securities Co., Ltd., founded in 1922 ...

"Akagiya Coffee" operated by Japan's first securities company is open!

It seems that Akakiya Securities has a trade division ...

This employee is a former securities dealer.

After entering the entrance, the left hand sells cafes, drinks, sweets, snacks, soft serve ice cream, etc.

        akagiya14.jpg akagiya17.jpg

If you buy a drink, you can get an extra 60 yen of castella of your neighborhood "Ginso"!                akagiya7.jpg akagiya8.jpg

1F is “CAFE BOUTIQUE”: Standing specialty coffee is crispy.

2F is "CAFE LOUNGE": While looking at Nihonbashi with fragrant coffee in chairs and table seats ...

B1F is “SIPHON BAR”: Syphon coffee bar style (only B1F can smoke).

akagiya16.jpg

The right hand from the entrance roasts and sells raw coffee beans.

akagiya3.jpg

A set commemorating the opening is also on sale.

akagiya2.jpg

Also, you are working on dairy products and soft serve ice cream here.

"The health care of cows first! The milk quality is the highest in Japan!

It belongs to "Satsukura Ranch".

You can also purchase milk / satura production ranch limited yogurt / affection butter / affection fermented butter.

(When I bought milk and fermented butter to my home and returned home, butter made from unmixed, really fresh milk is very delicious, as it is named "love", and butter toast is on a plain . And it is also recommended for those who make sweets!

akagiya13.jpg

And there were sweets other than castella, such as "Nihonbashi Fruit Cake" and Madeleine of the neighborhood "Ginso".
            akagiya11.jpg akagiya12.jpg

I'm very happy that coffee, snacks, sweets, and products sold in-store are affordable!

COREDO Muromachi Anniversary Festival

[Satsuki Yanagi] Nov. 8, 2011 08:30

"Nihonbashi Bridge Centennial Festival" was held grandly!

Various events are still being held in the Nihonbashi area.

"COREDO Muromachi Anniversary Festival"

From October 26 to November 20

Various projects are held at shops, restaurants and cafes.

http://mi-mo.jp/pc/special/coredo_m/anniversary_2011/

On October 30th, when I brought the "Kawara version" distributed in front of Cored Muromachi, I got [Pokkin Chopsticks] with "Hakuza"'s gold leaf!

Expiration date / 2012. 10. I did it.

I would like to open it on New Year's Day 2012!

shunen3.jpg shunen2.jpg

What is the purpose of this day?

I was more curious than before, but I didn't have much opportunity to visit.

[Patisserie Eymet Vibert] Sir

Representative work: "Paris Brest Eymet" Mini size limited to 15 units per day

¥1050 (tax included)

However, it is said that it is sold during this period, so I went there!

shunen9.jpg

This patisserie is the sister store of Eymet Vibert, a French and wedding restaurant in Nibancho, Chiyoda-ku. (By the way, the Chuo-dori side of COREDO Muromachi 1F is "Cafe Eymet Viber" published in [French of Interest] in Michelin Guideponne Petit Turbul.

"Paris Brest Eymet" is a specialty that focuses on ingredients such as rare Japanese honey bees, fragrant Spanish Marcona almond praline, and French guerrilla salt.

shunen4.jpg

The Shoo dough itself also had a flavor, the fragrance of praline was high, and I liked the milky richness of Brule narrowed in between.

Since it is smaller than the normal size, try it first (in my case, I wanted to eat one by myself ...) I recommend it.

Please note that this mini size is limited to 15 cars per day until November 20.
