[Spring-in Exhibition] Begins-Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store

1. March 31, 2012 08:30

At this time, when I was looking forward to the flowering information of the cherry blossoms, I received a letter of invitation for the annual "Spring House Exhibition" and reminded me of "Hanami" in a conditional reflective manner. Every year, the cherry blossom viewing season and the exhibition period are the same. 67 more times this year. It is said that the "Spring House Exhibition" began to be held in 1945 in addition to the "In Exhibition" to be held from September 1 in autumn. The venue was also at the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store. The relationship between the sponsoring organization, the Japan Art Academy and Mitsukoshi, seems to be long, and the first revival-in exhibition was also held at Nihonbashi Surugacho Mitsukoshi Kimono Store in 1914 (1914) ("Hoin Exhibition 100 Years" (Shogakukan)). By the way, the character of the title belongs to Yukihiko Yasuda, the first president of the Japan Art Academy.

On the first day of today, I went to Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi immediately. On the first day, you can see a famous doujin. Is it the newly selected new painter who is guided by an acquaintance and explained in front of the work? It's somewhat smiling.

As is well known, "Nippon Art Academy" is an art organization in Arino founded in 1898, led by Tenshin Okakura.
In the old days, Taikan Yokoyama and Seison Maeda belonged, and in recent years Tamako Kataoka and Ikuo Hirayama painter belonged.
According to the list of Japanese painting, 870 entries were submitted, of which 314 were selected and 32 were exhibited.

If you meet the work of a new artist who is attracted to somewhere, if you look at it the next year and the next year, you will be awarded "Don't make much progress" or "The style has changed" or again! You may also be able to encounter a happy happening.

Can you reach "doujin" in the final goal of "special waiting" and "invitation" from "first winning"? It is also a pleasure of the exhibition to find your favorite new writer with your eyes. Even if you can not find it this time, the venue is "Hundred Flower Ryoran" a little earlier in "Full bloom".

One break at the bookstore - MARUZEN CAFE-Nihonbashi Maruzen

1. March 8, 2012 08:30

There used to be a golf driving range on the rooftop of the Maruzen Building before rebuilding, and when I was a worker at GOLFER'S SNACK in one corner, I often visited during lunch. The current building is called the interior interior of the store, which was completed in 2007 and was compiled in dark brown, tableware unified in Ashford, and the service has become fashionable, but it is popular in search of the taste of nostalgic Western food. It is a scene that is the same as before that.

MARUZEN CAFE is located next to the gallery up the 3F escalator. I took two lectures early this morning, so I'm quite hungry. Write your name on WAITING LIST and keep a close eye on the dish sample with DISPLAY, "What should I do?" "Hayashi Omurice" (1200 yen). As you know, this is famous for "Hashibayashi Rice", which is said to have been devised by Maruzen founder Uteki Hayashi, but the yellow color of the omelet in the center and the dark brown sauce of the palms surrounding it seemed to invite you to say "Do this!" (I guess it's a bad way ...)

There are various people, such as those who are operating a smartphone while eating at the counter seat on the window side for one customer who was guided, and those who are starting to read the book they bought immediately, but ah! Some men are eating sweets by themselves. If there is a book next to it, there is no sense of discomfort. It's strange.

As soon as it was over, coffee (350 yen for SET) was brought. I spent a relaxing time looking at the people coming and going on Sakura-dori St. When I talked about "In the past, on the rooftop ..." at the cashier, he said, "There are many customers who miss me."

Maruzen's previous building was built in 1952 (1952) and was the first reinforcing bar building in Tokyo after the war.

When I got off to the 1st floor, I was holding the "World Fountain pen" exhibition. Speaking of which, it was Maruzen who first made Japanese called "fountain pen" and the first imported typewriter. From the Meiji era, it was a shop that made you feel the wind of "Marine culture". How about a relaxing day of spending time at CAFE if you are tired looking at books and stationery?

Nihonbashi Nagato-Edo-style Confectionery "Hina Arare"

1. March 1, 2012 08:30

The Hina Matsuri is approaching. Hina doll, peach blossoms, hail, Hishimochi, grass mochi, white sake, chirashi sushi, clam. March 3 is established as a festival for seasonal girls.

―The origin of Hinamatsuri is complicated, and it is thought that it has changed to today's form based on the tradition of the three members of the "Hina" play, the "Umi no Feast" held among the noblemen of the Nara and Heian eras, and the play of the noble girls "Hina" play" (Supervised by Shin's calendar and annual event).

According to the book, there is a custom of purifying the body at the waterside and drinking peach liquor to exterminate evil in China on the first day of the Snake in early March, and then Kamimi was set on March 3, when the same day overlaps. --that's right. "Hina play" seems to have been held all year round as a play for girls, and "The Tale of Genji" also appears in various seasons (Sue picking-New Year, Nobun-August).

It was only after the Muromachi period that the three independent customs combined and began to decorate the Hina doll on March 3, and in the Edo period, it was designated as the Gobushiku, the day of climbing to Edo Castle, and the dolls are said to have become more elaborate and established among the general public.

In "Toto Toshikiki" (1837, 1837), "As a servant of Kamimi-bushi ● Mikami celebration ceremony Moroho Castle. Celebrate the good Shizukabushi. Seasonal meals with Homomomochi, Momoka Sake White Sake roasted beans, etc. ● Women's Hina Play From the end of February, set up a stage in the house and decorate it. Celebrate with the first festival of a girl's house at the age of this year ● It says that the inn descent, bushes, and clamming, so you can see that the Hinamatsuri is almost the same as modern times. Morisada Kitagawa's "Morisada Manga" includes "Hinaichi, from February 25 to March 3, 5, Edo Juken Stores, Owaricho, Kojimachi, etc., and Hina merchants are rented on both sides, leaving traffic in the center of Oji and waiting on both sides. It depicts the bustle of Hina City. By the way, it is said that "I have to clean up the doll as soon as Hinamatsuri is over ..." is that it was originally flowing as a doll, and it became a luxurious doll, and it became impossible to flow it. Instead, "clear up quickly" was considered "purified the filth." I don't know about "....." That's right.

There are a lot of Hinamatsuri's sweets such as "shredded cut" and "Kusamochi" in Kyoto, but the special thing only for this festival is "Hina Arare". This time, I would like to introduce "Nihonbashi Nagato" Hinahare.

Nagato is a famous restaurant that goes without saying, but it is located on Sakura-dori St., which leads from Yaesu Exit to Takashimaya. According to the guidance of the shop, it was founded during the Kyoho period (1716-1735) when the Shogun Yoshimune was a confectioner for the Shogunate, worshiped the name of "Matsuoka Nagatojo Fujiwara Nobuyoshi", and was allowed to use the last name sword.

There are two types of "Hina Arare": in a cute brown sugar-flavored bag (800 yen) and in a Hishimochi-shaped box (3300 yen). The picture is in a bag. In addition, "Aoi Naka", "Matsukaze" (this is only reserved), "Warabi Hisashimochi" and "Edo-style Kiri Yokan", which indicate that the Shogun's family was coming in, are also popular. The photo shows "Warabi Hisashimochi" (850 yen). Once you use this bracken powder, it becomes sticky.

More than 30 years ago, Nippon Shokuhin was available anywhere in the world, when I entrusted this Nagato cut yokan to a business traveler to a boss who was transferred to the Kuwait branch more than 30 years ago. At the end of the reply, there was "YOKAN NAMIDA" (yokan tears).

Kirin's wings item ~ 10 colors of Japanese paper

[Mido] March 1, 2012 08:30

"Kirin no Tsubasa", which is currently open to the public, was set in Ningyocho, Nihonbashi.
I think you all know that it is a mystery movie.
The key to this "Kirin's Wing" is "Japanese paper ten colors".
It is a colored paper set sold by the Japanese paper specialty store "Ozu Washi".

When I visited the shop, posters and flyers for "Kirin no Tsubasa" were displayed.
Together with "Japanese paper ten colors" (1,050 yen) was sold.
In the book (original), there is a line where "Japanese paper Toshiki" appears.
It's painted with a marker ...

As the name implies, 10 pieces of Japanese paper are 10 colors of 10 cm square Japanese paper, and 10 pieces each.
It is a set each time, but in fact, before the movie is produced.
It is sold for "100 colors of Japanese paper" (large = 2,100 yen, small = 1,050 yen).
I hear it was. When it is turned into a movie, the 10 colors that match the story.
It is said that it was 10 years old.
Next to the product, there was a paper crane made of ten colors of Japanese paper, but it was very good.
My heart was healed with a good feeling. For a small present
I think it will be.

On the second floor of Ozu Washi is the Ozu Gallery and Ozu Historical Museum.
There is a free rest room called "Satoyama Salon" with "Ozu Cultural Class".
It's also installed. You can also drink tea for free, so Nihonbashi
When you get tired of walking around the neighborhood, it's not just a good resting place.
Is it?
