The fun of walking around the city "Takaramachi"

[Apricot peony] September 22, 2012 08:30

Even though it is no longer gone, "place names" remain only in station names and signboards.
That's right.

One of them is Takaramachi Station on the Toei Asakusa Line.
Located between Higashi-Ginza Station and Nihombashi Station, it is now Kyobashi 1-3-chome.

"Takaramachi" The name of the name was given in 1931 by the idea of Hikokichi Nakazawa, a businessman and a member of the Tokyo City Council, but in 1978, it was integrated into Kyobashi 1-3-chome. And disappeared.

According to the "30-year history of Chuo-ku", one of the reasons that disappeared was one of the reasons for disappearing was "Muro" in Nihonbashi Muromachi (Muromachi) and Takaramachi's "Treasure (Takara)" in Takaramachi It seems that there was a drawback that caused confusion in the delivery of mail.

Speaking of which, I've heard from a friend who lived in Takaramachi when I was a child that the postal address was "Nihonbashi Takaramachi".
Certainly, if you just see it at a glance or break it, you may not be able to make a mistake.

By the way, the other day, I found a sign called "Kyobashi Takara-dori" in an alley just after going up the stairs of Takaramachi Station.
I'm happy to congratulate Takaramachi on "Treasure Street", so if you think if you buy a lottery in such a place, you will win, etc., discover "Lottery Dream Hall" about 50m away!

ck1203_1209204.jpg ck1203_1209205.jpg

Here, there is a lottery stage where lottery events such as "Loto 6" and a song show are held, an exhibition of the history of Japanese lottery, a corner where you can experience the 100 million yen bill, etc. There is also a corner where you can search the winning numbers for the year.

When I asked the information, "Is it made in this place because it is Takaramachi?", He answered with a laugh, "No, it looks just a coincidence."

Although there is an antique street in the immediate vicinity, there are only buildings lined up, and this place can be seen as a terrible business district, but if you take a little care and walk around the city, you will find interesting discoveries that I think.
In particular, Chuo-ku has been the center of Japan since the Edo period, and has various history in every corner of the city, so it is a series of discoveries every time you walk.

"Town Walking Tour" Long-established course 2 accompanying notes

1. September 20, 2012 14:00

On September 19th, the above-mentioned town walking tour organized by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, it was raining lightly, and when I arrived in front of "Arara," and the meeting place "Ninben", a considerable amount of rain. All eight scheduled participants were present before the time. (It's a pity that two people canceled in advance and the magnification was nearly tripled.)

In front of the shop where the delicious smell of bonito stock drifted, I saw a party that seemed to be unavailable for a long time, and Mr. Oba, the manager of the store, guided me to the shop before opening. Thank you very much.

100_0752.JPG 100_0757.JPG"Ninben" is a long-established long-established long-established store that has been founded in 1699 (1699) for 313 years, without any strangers in "hon dead bonito". Relocated in conjunction with the opening of Choledo Muromachi two years ago. "Katsuobushidashi" of "dashiba" of 100 yen was a big hit, and it sold 2,000 cups a day for a while. Due to the review of Japanese-style eating habits, bonito, one of the fermented foods, seems to have a strong demand.

I found something unusual. That "the earliest new year" is the Kiribus republic "Christmas Island Salt". It is sold as "salt suitable for Japanese food". (100g,525 yen)

100_0771.JPG

It is said that DASHI BAR also uses this salt. I'm looking forward to using it. When it was whitened, I didn't recognize that bonito is the same fermented food as miso and soy sauce. We had a fun explanation such as a silver gift certificate issued in the 18th century, and went to the next visit "Eitaro".
It seems that rain has risen.

This was the first time Eitaro opened an independent store on the banks of Nipponbashinishi (current location) in 1857.

Mr. Nishiwaki is explaining in front of "Noren" at the entrance. "Sunshade noren" has many ink prints on a white background, but in Edo and Nihonbashi neighborhoods, "Kon norenren trademark" has never been noticed. The right is the "red cobblestone" on the left of the entrance. It seems that the first shop purchased what was in the Goto family in Koza. The lower part is "Gokage paving stone", which was used as a paving stone at the entrance to enter the shop from the road at the time of establishment. The history and the long-established stance of "customer first" are conveyed. Summer-like sweets using wasabian called "Amana sugar" and "Tamadare" using Sasage are sold out. I'm sorry. Today, I decided to buy a seasonal rice ball and a name money tsuba from the founding period.

The last visit is Mr. Yamamotoyama. It's already raining. When we arrived, cold tea was served in the table seat. It's an hour since I left, so when you've got a little dry. We are all impressed by the hospitality at the exquisite timing.

100_0766.JPG 100_0767.JPG

"Yamamotoyama" was founded in 1690 (1690). It was the first time that Kahei Yamamoto of Uji started selling tea in Edo Nihonbashi with the hope that "I want many people to taste the delicious tea of Uji because it is so delicious." At that time, this drink, which had begun to spread among the common people, was a huge hit. After that, the fourth generation improved "Sencha" and the sixth generation created "Gyokuro" to create and pursue quality, making the history of tea. What surprised me was that "Yamamotoyama" was the impression that "tea" and "nori" could not be cut, but it was in 1947 that "nori" started selling "nori". I noticed for the first time after hearing Mr. Chikira's explanation, but it is said that there is a laver shop at every station from Mitsukoshi on the Ginza Line to Ginza. Speaking of which, Kyobashi Station-Yamagataya-san, Mitsukoshi-mae-Yamamoto Nori, and Nihonbashi is Yamamotoyama-san.

Strangely, it is an assortment of "Edo Long-established Tour", a collaboration product of the three visiting courses today. I've seen it before in the introduction of new products in the newspaper, but the real thing is first. It seems to be selling well.

Some of the participants have participated in the "Town Walking Tour", and there are many questions to the shop, and those who participated for the first time while traveling said, "This Nihonbashi character is the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu. Some people were explained as "I wrote it" and "This shop is also lined up", and it seemed that they enjoyed it in a harmonious manner. I have become one of the shop-loving tourists rather than a guide again. It's a reflection. While listening to the explanation at the three stores this time, we heard that the development of new products adapted to the times along with classic products with a history, and renewed our recognition that Ryuishi is a "long-established" that lasts for centuries. It is up to you.

"Ninben" 2-2-1 Nihonbashi Muromachi, Cored Muromachi 1F TEL 0120-120-241

Eitaro, 1-2-5 Nihonbashi TEL 03-3271-7785

Yamamotoyama 2-5-2 Nihonbashi TEL 3281-0010

It is a "town walk tour" where you can get an episode of a shop that you can't know just by shopping on a daily basis, and a little bit of history that you want to teach to people if you know.

The application deadline for this long-established course 2 of the “Town Walking Tour” will be held once more this year, and must arrive on October 26 (Fri). Please see the website of Chuo-ku Tourism Association for how to apply and other courses. We still have some courses in time.

By the way, it was time, Chuo-ku sightseeing ambassador, Miss Chuo candidate who gathered at the venue. It's no wonder who is chosen.

After each has done self-promotion, the elected committee members vote at another venue. A 30-minute music fair with U's sweet and sad singing voice.

By the way, there are 18 applicants who rejoined on the stage. I'm sure his chest was battered.

Oh, the person who was called first did not dream that he would be chosen.

I would like to show you photos of the surprising scene, but let's respect portrait rights.
Helping the 30th Tourism Ambassador wear Tiara and Cape.

Go to a kimono shop looking for autumn-"Tsuzureya" Nihonbashi Main Store-

1. September 7, 2012 10:00

"The remaining heat is severe, but there is a sign of autumn in the morning and evening wind ..." is a standard of greetings from the weather at this time, but this year it is hot! It was around this time that Japan passed through the subtropics and entered the tropics. That said, in September and the second week, I couldn't wear thin items and went to a kimono shop for the first time in a long time to ask for care.

Tsuzureya is a long-established store that celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, founded in 1932 (1932). The first shop is Asakusa, specializing in gentlemen's products. There was also a period in the early Showa era, and there were many customers of rakugo artists, and the teacher of Kuromoncho was one of the customers. After that, he moved to Nihonbashi to specialize in women's goods. It is a shop that has a reputation for classical kimonos and obi with traditional patterns such as kimonos.

100_0745.JPG 100_0746.JPG
When you enter the store one step in the sweltering heat, it is completely "autumn". Unlike summer items with many light colors and light patterns, you can feel that the season has changed unexpectedly when you look at the autumn and winter patterns and colors of the frightened dyed color. The next family is looking for a lady's kimono. "How about this?" This is also a smile on the selection of a kimono that seems to be fun, such as "Are there?"

"I'd like you to see if you have some time. ・"Oh! This is dangerous, "but kimono lovers are vulnerable to temptation. All the items that can be arranged are familiar with our tastes. If you think "Speaking of that, there were some tea ceremonies," it's over. ・・・・・

100_0747.JPG

When you go out, the heat is shy! "Autumn" seems to be only in the kimono shop. Why don't you go to a kimono shop to feel the fleeting "autumn"?

Tour of the ruins of Temmacho prison mansion

[Movie likes] September 1, 2012 08:30

I heard that at the Kyobashi Library, I could see the excavation work of the Temmacho prison.

A large number of people came even on weekdays.

The place is with the bronze bell "Kokumachi Bell" on the premises of Jisshi Park, which is more than 2,600 tsubo, on the right.

The central front was excavated in Jushi Elementary School, and the left was excavated in a rectangular road vertical.

It looked down at a place about 4 meters lower than the road, but the surrounding area was filled.

It seems that it became a park after the prison was abolished.

With the materials of the archeological site layout map, the whole picture of the prison is water supply, fences, stone walls, magistrates, etc.

House of residence, concentric house, house of lower man, etc., Yonekura, book storehouse, prison of identity difference, death crime place, etc.

I understand that the description of the film was not understood in the historical drama of television and movies.

It is interesting because the name of the legendary person who entered the prison is also described.

It is said that it will be released until October.
