Cherry Blossoms in Nihonbashi

[Sam] March 31, 2015 17:00

On March 29, the sixth day after the flowering declaration of Yoshino cherry tree in central Tokyo on March 23, the daytime temperature rose to 21.3°C and was in full bloom at once.

5 days earlier than normal, along with Fukuoka, the earliest full bloom in Japan.

It is expected that warm days will continue in the first half of this week, so it will be a great day for cherry blossom viewing.

In Nihonbashi, a city where cherry blossom viewing culture has been alive for a long time, the annual “Nihonbashi / Spring / Sakura Weeks” is currently being held, but the cherry blossoms at the side of Nihonbashi are in full bloom and are even more bustling.

・On the east side of Nihonbashi Kitazume "Otome no Hiroba" Yoshino cherry tree

・weeping cherry tree (Sanbun bloom) on the west side of Kitazume.

・Waterfall Plaza on the east side of Minamizume, Yoshino cherry tree weeping cherry tree

・weeping cherry tree, Flower Plaza on the west side of Minamizume.

In the neighborhood, "Sakura-dori St.", which boasts the largest number of about 150 Yoshino cherry tree trees in Chuo-ku, is worth seeing, and there are approximately 80 relatively cherry blossom trees in Yoshino cherry tree in Wakagi, from the Bank of Japan to Showa-dori. (By the way, the character of the stone monument marked with the street name is the book of the 12th generation Danjuro Ichikawa).

"Sakura-dori St." and "Edo Sakura-dori St." are lit up at night, and you can enjoy the fantastic "night cherry blossoms" with a different atmosphere than during the day.

The 70th Spring-in Exhibition is being held-Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store

1. March 31, 2015 14:00

The cherry blossoms at the base of Nihonbashi bloom in seven minutes at their best, and it is a unique scenery of this season that you can see digital cameras and authentic tripods here and there. At the Mitsukoshi Nihonbashi Main Store, the annual "Spring House Exhibition" has begun on the 25th.

100_1596.JPG100_1595.JPG

This exhibition, which began in 1945, has already been held 70 times. This is a large exhibition of 340 works, including 306 selected works and 34 works by doujin teachers. Although I enter with the thought of "watching only the works of the teachers", my feet still stop in front of a work that says "first selection". The captions of the works of the fellow teachers are reprinted.

"I found it. It's a seasonal treasure "(Yuji Tezuka's "Rei Aki") and it's fun to read it as you can hear the live voice of the writer. There are exhibits such as "rock paints" and "brushes" in the venue, and it is interesting to compare the natural ones of "rock paints" and artificial ones written as "new rock" side by side. I've done it. At the last 3rd venue, a cover picture of the work catalog from the 35th exhibition is displayed. I saw the name of the late writer and looked at it nostalgically and interestingly.

I was lying on the 4th floor.

To Miyakoshiya Coffee Shop. Sapporo is the main store, but it is completely rooted in Nihonbashi. The photo shows today's cake set. One of the pleasures is to recall "this was good" while looking at the list of works exhibited in one hand of coffee. Please take a look at "Japanese painting's Now" as a cherry blossom viewing in Nihonbashi.

"Spring-in Exhibition" will be held at Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi Main Store until April 6th. Main Building and New Building 7F Gallery

Entrance fee General 800 yen 10:00 to 18:30 (until 17:00 on the last day)

[Showa Doritanken Record] #03: Healing Aquarium (Kyobashi 3-chome)

[Dye] March 27, 2015 09:00

It's getting warmer and the flowers have begun to bloom, and it's getting a good day for a walk.

So this time, I would like to introduce some of the best shops to stop by when you are tired of walking around the city.

"Wine & Grill Kyobashi Terrace" along Showa-dori Street

It is a bar where you can enjoy lunch and cafes in the daytime and wine at night, and the exterior wall covered with greenery is a landmark.

From the A3 exit of Takaracho Station on the Toei Asakusa Line, go straight to the expressway for a few seconds (! ? Walk right hand.

I'm a little thrilled because I can't see the other side of the door, but let's go in.◎

The most recommended thing is the beautiful nature aquarium that spreads inside the store.

While watching tropical fish swim slowly, I forget that this is in the middle of the city for a while.

Inside the store. The number of fish...A lot of things I don't know (#` ・ ω ・ ')! That's right.

The bright tropical fish of blue and red are called "neontetra".

I go to lunch and cafe time, but I repeat it many times because the dishes are delicious and comfortable. The clerk is also kind ('@`*)

s13_07.jpg s13_08.jpg

Lunch steak is savory and delicious, but reasonable

It seems that you can eat it in a bigger lump at night.

It was good to have tea only~

We also have a lot of wines, so I would like to visit dinner.

s13_09.jpg s13_11.JPG

There seems to be a semi-private room.◎

During the walk, go back and forth for cherry blossom viewing, welcome and farewell party...etc

Chuo-dori is also lively, but why don't you be healed by a wonderful aquarium on Showa-dori?

Takashimaya becomes a botanical garden

[Tachibana] March 24, 2015 14:00

The cherry blossoms were about to bloom soon, but when I went to Nihonbashi Takashimaya by accident, the lobby on the 1st floor was filled with various plants like a botanical garden.

This "Botanical Garden" was produced by Kiyojun Nishihata, who is called a plant hunter.
It seems that more than 200 kinds of plants such as Sansyu, which are over 100 years old, coexist.

t1.jpg
Foreigners in kimono are also taking a commemorative photo against the background of the botanical garden.

I'm sorry that the introduction was delayed, but the display in the lobby is until March 24 (Tuesday). Plants are also placed on Showwindo, which seems to have been displayed until March 31.

A lot of flowers were blooming on Chuo-dori street in front of Takashimaya.

Tsukiji Foreign Settlement Site & Okame Sakura

[Many Books] March 20, 2015 14:00

Recently, a doctor told me to take a walk, and I took a walk from my home in Toyocho opposite Nikkawa to Ginza via Akashicho.

Akashi Elementary School became beautiful, and an explanatory version of "Tsukiji Foreign Settlement Site" was installed on the corner (2013) along with "Pillars of Gas Street Light, remain of bricks during the Settlement Era, and stepping stones on the stairs of Akashi Elementary School". .

Also on the 19th, I went for a walk to Nihonbashi and saw "Okame Sakura".

It seemed to have passed, and the leaves were coming out. But it was blooming beautifully.

If I thought it was cold, I felt that it was already such a season.

A little spring around me

[TAKK...] March 18, 2015 14:00

It's modest, but it's strange.

I will post about such a small spring footprint.

Eitai-dori St., which has a lot of traffic.

There was only a small plum blossom in one corner of the sidewalk, and a wonderful flower bloomed.

It is a small park just above the capital Taka Toshin Beltway, and a small cherry tree is in full bloom.

Is it sunny?
