[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 30, 2017 16:00

mtmr001.JPG

The Chuo Ward Environmental Information Center is located on the 6th floor of Tokyo Square Garden in Kyobashi 3-chome.

mtmr002.JPG

Here, "Exhibition to Look at the Earth" was being held.

"It was being held" because I visited on the last day of the 26th (Tuesday).

mtmr003.JPG

This month is said to be the Global Warming Prevention Month, and photos and videos of regions and creatures around the world, which are said to be affected by global warming, were introduced.

mtmr004.JPG

As we live on the earth, we were faced with the fact that global warming has progressed, affecting the natural phenomena of the earth and creatures on the earth.

It was an exhibition that made me think about what each of us could do.

mtmr005.JPG

At the Environmental Information Center, lectures and lectures to expand interest in environmental issues and the circle of environmental activities, hands-on workshops where you can learn about the environment while having fun, as well as planned exhibitions and activities by registered environmental activities. Various events such as presentations are held.

mtmr006.JPG

The center is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., so you can stop by on your way home.

mtmr007.JPG

In addition, we received your consent regarding photography in the exhibition space.

Thank you very much

Kurufuku-Nihonbashi

[Asunaro] December 30, 2017 16:00

When you go to souvenir shops, various beckoning cats
You can see it.

Shop. jpg

If you look closely, you can see the rising hand (front leg?) But
It's the right hand or the left hand.
It seems to have a meaning.

The right hand invites money.
The left hand invites people.
In both hands, both money luck and a thousand customers who invite people
It is said that there is a great deal.

And the higher the hand you raise, the more you invite the distant fortune.

Sanko Inari. jpg

Nihonbashi has been famous as a "Prayer for lost cats" since the Edo period.
There are many beckoning cats at the shrine as a thank you for fulfilling your wish.
I have it.

Beckoning cats have been loved by many Japanese since ancient times.
I hear that it is becoming more popular overseas.
You are still alive even in the year of the dog.

Delicious Okonomiyaki shop in Kyobashi [Tsuruhashi Kitchin]

[Dimini ☆ Cricket] December 29, 2017 09:00

On the first basement floor of Tokyo Square Garden in Kyobashi 3-chome, there is a delicious okonomiyaki and teppanyaki shop.

This is "Kichin Tsuruhashi" which I introduced in this blog before.

mix2017001.JPG

Today, I ordered a mixed ball set meal for lunch.

It will be crowded at 12 o'clock, so I recommend you go early.

The shop is open at 11:30.

mix2017002.JPG

It's a fluffy okonomiyaki with a mix of pork, shrimp and squid.

You can choose salad, side dish or white rice, but I always have salad.

mix2017003.JPG

I would like to have iron plate for lunch this season.

In addition to the various okonomiyaki lunch set meals, there are also teppan steak bowls and set meals, which are also delicious.

Click here for a blog that introduced Yakisoba set meal last December. ⇒

Be sure to enjoy the mysterious sight at dusk, the old city of Yagenbori.

[Shiba Inu] December 25, 2017 09:00

From Tuesday, December 26 to 28 (Thursday), the year-old city of Odeko, Yagenbori fudoson, will be held in Nihonbashi. The location is Higashi Nihonbashi 2-chome, the eastern end of Chuo-ku. The nearest stations are Higashi-Nihonbashi Station and Bakuro-Yokoyama Station. It takes place in the fudoson area of Yagenbori.

The year-on-ichi is the last city of the year, where New Year's decorations such as shimenawa sacred ropes, winter clothing and food are sold cheaply. The remaining old cities in Tokyo are Hagoita in Asakusa and Yagenbori here. Yagenbori's year-old city was the last city in Edo Gofu, so it was called the "Noto-no-ichi". It was once cut off in the war, but the local people have resumed, and even now in Heisei, they can buy it at the beginning of the year while enjoying the Edo atmosphere.

Yagenbori was the place where Dutch studies (medicine) surgery was performed during the Edo period, and the place where the talks began. There are a number of related monuments on the premises. And it has a very mysterious cityscape. In a small town, if you walk for a few minutes, you will get to one of the major streets in Tokyo, but when you enter the Yagenbori area, such a modern hustle and bustle disappears, and you will feel the illusion of entering a town somewhere in Showa.

IMG_8894.jpg

The best time to visit is from dusk to night.

I don't want to go shopping at such times even though it's cold and busy....I feel like that, but this is the most mysterious thing.

IMG_8897.jpgIt is a very recommended spot for those who like to take pictures of the night view.

IMG_8902.jpgIMG_8899.jpg

There's also a lion dance, and there's a lot of entertainment. You'll bite your head properly!

IMG_8895.jpgMany strange stories are actually transmitted to year old cities around the country. Those who died in that year came to shop, or local youkai opened a shop at night. At the end of the year, everyone is passing each other on the street corner and welcomes a new year.

The current Yagenbori Toshinoichi has a very lively atmosphere with the power of a nearby wholesale district. By all means, please come to the lively “last year old city” where there is mysterious!
