Summer flower bed in Harumi Triton

[Sam] August 9, 2014 09:00

DSC00955LS.JPGR0029560RSG.JPG According to the calendar, August 7 is a fall, but it is still at the height of summer.

Yellow, orange, and red flowers are in full bloom on Harumi Triton's "Flower Terrace" as if challenging the summer sun.

This year, the dwarf sunflower "Good Smile" appeared in the "Slope Garden" along the Asashio Canal, making it even more gorgeous.

Speaking of "Himawari", it is common to image that large yellow flowers bloom at the tip of tall stems, but recently the flower color is yellow to brown, the height is high to dwarf species, and the flower shape is large to small flowers / single bloom ~ double-flowered.

In addition, Ludpo Kia 'Takao' (1), Ludpo Kia' 'Plaley San' (2), Ludpo Kia' 'Autum Color' (3), Echinacea' Cheyenne Spirit' (4), dahlia' Black Butterfly (5), Lantana' Camarathan (7), hibiscus, 6, and so on.

In the park, you can enjoy a total of four species, including the red flower species of "Salsberg", a flowering tree that represents summer, and the dwarf horticultural species.

Fumino Seki St. Luke's Gallery Exhibition 2014

[Silver] August 5, 2014 19:48

From August 4th to 9th, an exhibition of bags made of kimono fabrics is being held at the gallery in St. Luke Hospital.

Fumino Seki was a classmate of Kyoba Peony's junior high school, so I was encouraged to go out.

There are two nice parasols at the entrance of the gallery. There was a wonderful parasol that could block the hot summer sunshine and pass through the occasional cool breeze of the Sumida River.

I see, there are a lot of handbags that mainly use kimono fabrics.

What impressed me was that in consideration of the users of St. Luke Hospital, a small bag that subdivided drugs was also created.

And not only for Japanese clothing, there was also such a nice casual bag. It's a fun design that imagined Jurassic.

I bought a bag called "Wine Carrie".

I thought this was stylish and wonderful not only for carrying wine, but also for carrying plastic bottle drinks and folding umbrellas.

This is like a Hawaiian quilt fabric. It's a cute turtle design.

I hope you will meet a wonderful work!

By the way, here is the article of Fumino Seki of Kyoba peony.

The lantern festival of Sumiyoshi Tsukuda-jinja Shirine

[Shitamachi Tom] August 4, 2014 15:00

P1130074(2). jpgSumiyoshi-jinja Shirine, located in Tsukuda, is a venerable shrine founded with Ieyasu Tokugawa's entry to Edo. It is also famous for the rare "octagonal portable shrine" cruising in Reitaisai festival once every three years. At the last festival, portable shrine, which was newly built since the Edo period, was shown and became a hot topic.

The next festival is next year, 2015. It will be held grandly to commemorate the 370th anniversary of the shrine's founding. I hope everyone will look forward to it.

P1130077(2). jpgThat's why this year is the so-called "Yin Festival", so there is no cruising of portable shrine. However, every year's festival is held properly. This year, August 6 is the day of the festival, and it will be held quietly.

The festival, which used to be held in old calendar at the end of June, must have had the meaning of exorcism in Natsukoshi. At the height of midsummer, ritual prayed for health and thanked the joy of living.

P1130080(2). jpgBy the way, it is responsible for the festival events centered on portable shrine, which is the flower shape of the festival, Sumiyoshi Tsukuda, and members of the Tsukishima district (part of Tsukuda, Tsukishima, Kachidoki, Toyomi, Harumi). Even in the year when there is no pilgrimage to portable shrine, it is customary to pray for the success of the sound health and the festival in the region. It is called the "Lantern Festival" from the place where you visit with lanterns from each town.

On August 2nd (Saturday), on the day of the "Danto Festival", in Kachidoki (a place where God takes a rest during cruises, a place like a shrine satellite), People wearing their own yukata (called "long clothes") gathered from each town. After worshiping at the shrine, the journey of worship begins in a row to Sumiyoshi-jinja Shirine.

P1130090(2). jpgAs we proceed, the sun gradually fades, and by the time we arrive at the shrine, the light of Japanese lantern emerges in the darkness. The members of "Sumiyoshi Tsukuda" greet each other carefully, and worship the shrine together. After the priest's congratulatory speech and the representative, Tamagushi Hoden, he will receive sacred wine. Finally, the three closings resonated throughout the precincts, and the festival ended safely.

The men in downtown love festivals and humanity and look forward to the next year's Reitaisai festival. During a summer night, the river breeze of the Sumida River flowed faintly, and it was a scenery full of atmosphere and emotions.

August 1st is "Water Day" and the first day of "Water Week".

Needless to say, the usefulness of water resources and the importance of conservation, but the secondary utility of "landscapes with water" cannot be overlooked.

The water area ratio in Chuo-ku is 18.3%, which is the best in Tokyo, and is blessed with waterside space.

Especially during this season, when the intense heat continues every day, strolling along the riverside while blowing in the night breeze will not only heal your heart but also enjoy the coolness.

At the mouth of the Sumida River (excluding the school river), the Ryogoku Bridge, Metropolitan Expressway Route 6.7, Shinohashi Bridge, Kiyosu Bridge, Sumida River Ohashi, Eitai Bridge, Chuo-ohashi Bridge, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, Kachidokibashi Bridge, (Ring Route 2 Sumida River Bridge <tentative name>) are lit up.

The bridge type is different from each one, but the color of the light is also devised.

On the river surface, the light of the bridge lit up, the lights of the riverbank, the illumination of the houseboat, etc. are fused and reflected, creating a unique sense of color.
