 I'm heading to Harumi Wharf.

On the right side, the opposite bank of the Asashio Canal is the Toyomi district.

Tsukishima Wharf (Hokai Wharf).

Shortly after we went to Harumi Park. The stone walls are assembled and the atmosphere of the castle ruins.

As you go along the way, you will see Harumi Passenger Terminal beyond the fountain.

P1010002isigaki-1.jpgP1010003funsui-1.jpg

Proceed to the sea side, sometimes a large ship anchored on the quay.

Looking at the boat, look to the left and see the Venus sculpture.

On the way to the observation tower, there is a wonderful monument. There is a small bird on the surface of the water.

While looking at it, you will go up to the observation tower. Mount Fuji is beautiful when it's fine.

The Sky Tree and of course Triton Square are up close.

Take the elevator to the ground at once. It's comfortable with the gentle air conditioning.

Go outside and head toward Triton, this area is a candidate site for the Olympic athlete village.

From time to time, the Metropolitan Police Department White Bike Corps is practicing seriously.

In the past, sometimes airships flew off from here.

When you go east through the construction site of Ring Route 2 and head to the hotel group, you will get a good scent.

 It's the Katsuobushi Center.

Bonitobushi from famous shops such as Nihonbashi are transported here, dried in the sun at this place and shipped.

When I ask the clerk, "Tunabushi" is in front of me. It looked a little thicker.

Tunabushi is said to be used at a long-established soba shop in Nihonbashi.

Go up Harumi Ohashi, look at the refreshing sea, and this time to the warehouses, something retro.

After leaving the warehouses, go to "Hot Plaza Harumi".

There is a stylish Italian restaurant on the second floor. Take a break here.

After looking at the Rainbow Bridge on the terrace on the second floor, head to Asashio Kobashi.

Red copper moon <10.8 Total lunar eclipse>

[Sam] October 11, 2014 09:00

20141009CG.jpgDSC01014ELSR.JPG On the night of October 8, there was a "total lunar eclipse" where the moon glowed dullly in red and bronze.

A total lunar eclipse is a phenomenon in which the earth enters between the sun and the moon, and the shadow of the earth falls on the moon.

It is the first time that a total lunar eclipse has been observed in Japan for the first time in three years since December 2011.

It began to chip around 18:15, and it became a total eclipse from around 19:25 to around 20:25.

It is said that red light, which has a long wavelength of sunlight, is refracted and scattered in the Earth's atmosphere and slightly illuminates the moon, so it does not become dark and looks dull red bronze.

Astronomical show that takes about 3 hours and 20 minutes in total, including partial meals.

The next total lunar eclipse will be seen in Japan on April 4, next year.

The upper left photo shows the "partial meal" in progress at around 18:45, as seen from the main tower of Chuo-ohashi Bridge.

Chuo-ku new discovery! Report on participation in "Town Walking Tour"

[Silver] 14:00 on October 9, 2014

The Chuo-ku Tourism Association has been conducting since July, "Chuo-ku New Discovery! Do you know the "town walk tour"?

On August 28, I applied for an industrial course to visit long-established stores, shops and famous places.
We visited three long-established stores founded in the Edo period, a long-established Japanese confectionery shop "Eitaro Sohonho", a lacquerware specialty store "Kuroeya", and a laver shop "Yamamoto-noriten", which developed seasoned seaweed.
At the first visit, "Eitarou Sohonho" was held.

20140828 014.JPG
I heard about the invention of Amana sugar and Kintsuba.

20140828 018.JPG

In addition, we heard stories such as "Sado's red cobblestone at the villa of the Koza Goto family" at the entrance.

20140828 016.JPG
I bought Kintsuba as a souvenir.
On this website, you can see the story of Eitaro candy and gold brim. http://www.eitaro.com/

The show window at Kuroeya's storefront where I visited was decorated with giboshi in Nihonbashi, which was used during the Edo period.

20140828 010.JPG
Here, from high-quality lacquerware, our original chopsticks, Nihonbashi, is sold.

20140828 026.JPG
I purchased a business card holder with red Fuji, the thirty-six views of Mount Fuji in Katsushika Hokusai. http://www.kuroeya.com/

At the last visit, "Yamamoto-noriten", seaweed is collected when the plum blossoms bloom, so the circle was used as a ume company emblem, or the wall of the design of the laver spores.

20140828 037.JPG
Since the company's history and Yoko Yamamoto's TV commercials have been long-term, the Guinness Book of Records has been certified.

20140828 032.JPG

We heard a very interesting story about the ceiling expressing the frame of a boat that collects seaweed in the store's construction.

20140828 039.JPG20140828 036.JPG
It was a seaweed tasting, and we tasted the canned seaweeds designed by our granddaughter Kitty-chan, but it is a seasoning that adults can also enjoy. I bought two cans.
Click here for Yamamoto-noriten's website. http://www.yamamoto-noriten.co.jp/
The "Town Walking Tour" seems to be still being accepted. I recommend a fun walk around the town.

◆ The name of the new bridge on the Sumida River was decided by Tsukiji Ohashi.

[Sumida Fireworks] 09:00 on October 9, 2014

This is a new bridge at the lowermost part of the Sumida River connecting Tsukiji and Kachidoki, where the bridge work was carried out on May 8.

s_hanabi10-1.jpg

Although the name was being recruited, it was not easily announced.

s_hanabi10-2.jpg

The sun went down many times.

s_hanabi10-3.jpg

Are you tired of waiting?

s_hanabi10-4.jpg

But this time, the name has finally been announced.

It's Tsukiji Ohashi.

The Tsukiji Market will move to Toyosu.

This name "Tsukiji" will remain as a new landmark for a long time, so isn't it a suitable name?

s_hanabi10-5.jpg

From Hashigami, you will be able to see Tokyo Tower through the Hamarikyu Garden, and there is no doubt that it will be a new tourist spot.

It will surely be a beautiful light-up.

In the future, after performing pavement work, it is scheduled to be completed in March 2016.

By the way, the name was being recruited on the bridge of the same ring-shaped Route 2.
The bridge over the Asashio Canal is the Reimei Ohashi Bridge.
s_hanabi10-6.jpg

The overpass between Tsukiji Ohashi and Reimei Ohashi is Kachidoki Overpass (Kachidoki).
It's the name.

In the neighborhood, a new high-rise tower apartment building is being constructed, and it will change rapidly toward the future.

Thirteen Nights <Moon floating in the waves of clouds>

[Sam] 18:00 on October 7, 2014

DSC01002ELSC.JPGthRRSG.jpg This year, October 6 is September 13, old calendar, and "Thirteen Nights".

The 15th Night of old calendar on August 15 is called "Imontsuki" because of the custom of offering taro during the harvest season, but it is also called "Kurinametsuki" or "Mamenametsuki" or "later month".

The lack of moon viewing on one side of the fifteenth and thirteenth nights is called "Kata Mizuki", and it is said that there is a bouncing wind.

It is considered a custom unique to Japan and is thought to have been one of the autumn Harvest festivals.

In general, the night of the thirteenth night is often sunny, and I hear the word "no cloudy on the thirteenth night".

This year, Typhoon No. 18 passed in the morning and the blue sky spread in the afternoon, but at night, spotted clouds.

The "moon floating in the waves of clouds" shining on the "top" of Ishikawajima Lighthouse at lit up Tsukuda Park also has a taste.

Plants Walk in Harumi

[Sam] 09:00 on October 4, 2014

R0030133RSG.JPGRIMG1062ELS.JPG In October, the plating becomes cooler in the morning and evening, the leaves of the grass gradually begin to change color, and you can feel the sign of autumn in the breeze blowing.

Harumi Triton Square's "Green Terrace" and "Flower Terrace" will soon reach the colorful "fall colors" season.

There is a fragrance of "Kinmokusei" in the park. (upper right photo)

This time, the theme of the monthly “Mini Garden Guide Tour” held on October 2 <real thing (Mimono) and spring flower buds> I will introduce the real thing that is changing color and the flower buds next spring are growing little by little while waiting for the time to come.

By the way, "plants walk" is said to be "town walk" based on "green" that loves plants while strolling around the park and the city (town).

Discover the unexpected charm of the city area and add color to your daily life.

It is often thought to be a white version of Japan globeflower (5-petaled flowers, leaves alternate), but the fact of Shiroyamabuki (4-petaled flowers, leaves are opposite) belonging to the family Rosaceae is glossy black.

The cypress family Conodegashiwa fruit, which is said to have been named after the twigs are well branched and lined up like a child's palm, is a unique shape with a projection.

dogwood, Hachijoukibushi, Tamushiba, Japanese allspice ... Preparation of flower buds for next spring is progressing steadily.
