Thirteen Nights, two days late

[Sam] October 18, 2016 09:00

DSC_0717LS (2). jpg This year, September 15 was the so-called “Midautumn Moon” and “15 Nights” on August 15 in old calendar, and October 13 was the “Thirteen Nights” on September 13 in old calendar.

On the 15th, two days behind the "Thirteen Nights", a refreshing blue sky spreads out, and the "Mamaru no Tsuki" shines next to the Ishikawajima Lighthouse Monument in Tsukuda Park, which was lit up from the evening.

The thirteenth night is one step before the full moon.

By the way, October 16th is the full moon this year.

In any case, the moon tonight looks even more beautiful in the clear night sky.

The reason why the autumn sky is "clear and visible" is.

① When there is a large amount of water vapor in the air, the sky tends to look whitish due to the reflection of sunlight, but the air brought by the mobile high pressure from the continent in autumn is dry, so the blueness of the sky tends to be dark and clear.

② Grass grow over the summer, dust is less likely to occur, and yellow sand is less flying.

That's why.

Aquicane fly

428aRSG.jpg On September 30, the Tokyo Regional Meteorological Observatory reported one of the Japan Meteorological Agency's biological seasonal observation information `` Akiakane Hatsumi '', and even at Tsukuda Park, if you look carefully on a sunny day, Akiakane will appear in the autumn sky. I see you dance.

It is said that this year's first appearance is 13 days later than normal.

Dragonfly's flying ability is one of the best in the living world.

Skillfully manipulates the four wings, hovering (air stop), sudden turning, high-speed flight and its free actions are wonderful.

Akiakane is one of the representative species of so-called "red dragonflies".

Akiakane emerges on flatlands in early summer, moves to mountainous areas during summer, and when the heat eases, mature adults return to flatlands, while the approximation Natsu Akane is the overall habitat period itself. Although there is no difference, it is said that it will appear on flat ground throughout the entire period.

Natsu Akane's maturity can be distinguished by the fact that all of the head, chest, and abdomen are red, but the most reliable identification point is said to be the central black muscle on the side of the chest, regardless of mammature.

Akiakane has a pointed tip, while Natsu Akane has a horny tip.

"Red Dragonfly" in the clear blue sky, it is a piece that feels autumn close to you with refreshing wind.

DSC02537RSG.jpg Harumi Triton Plaza 2F "i green Pocket Plaza Flower, Water, Tree" is an annual mini-garden guided tour to stroll around the park with the guidance of an exclusive gardener.

This month was held on October 6th.

In the "Flower Garden", "remnants" white hagi with a neat impression. More than 10 white butterfly-shaped florets bloom together, and the branches are weeping as we reach the ground.

At the eastern end of the Flower Garden, you can see a colony of grayheaded cuckoo.

At this time, mainly at the "Flower Garden" and "North Triton Park", the chrysanthemum flowers such as Zinia Linalis, Margaret Cosmos, willow sunflowers, Echinacea Giants Spirits, and Yuzengiku are also conspicuous.

hibiscus in the slope garden along the Asashio Canal is a bit different.

Unlike ordinary ornamental horticultural species, this is an edible rosel species.

I hear that hibiscus tea is impressive for its sour and beautiful ruby color.

In addition, the fine Mexican Sweethab flowers with a unique fragrance, the inflorescence of about 5 cm, a large number of small flowers of about 3 mm, and the flowers of Juzsango, which simultaneously produces small red fruits in a prayer beads shape.

Insects such as black swallowtail and leopard leopard flying around the flowers soften somehow.

The pheasant pigeon chick nests

[The Rabbit of Tsukuda] October 7, 2016 14:00

One morning in September, as usual, when I was strolling along the Sumida River Terrace of Ishikawajima Park, I heard a pee and a very thin bird from overhead. Look up,

Something is flying in front of you. What's the matter? If you look well, there,

Kiji 12th 1.jpg

There are two pheasant pigeon chicks looking at them. Whether you are worried about the disappearance of parent birds, or if you are worried about the strange creatures you see for the first time?

I was sorry, but I decided to watch the nest gently.

Here around the Sumida River Terrace in Ishikawajima Park, I was able to see a set of pheasant pigeons on a regular basis. Maybe they are the chicks.

Pheasant pigeon pair. jpg

It's quite big on the third day of the meeting. They have the same wings as their parents. The pheasant pigeon seems to lay two eggs at a time.

Day 6

17th 3.jpg4.jpg for 2 birds on the 17thThe nest may be getting narrower, devise the formation of two birds!

Will you wait on the 17th? 5.jpg 17 Hiwa 6.jpg

On the seventh day of the meeting, the nesting of the chicks is two weeks after hatching, is it almost time? I encountered a parent bird today! You haven't been standing yet.

The 18th parent bird is also 7.jpg

I haven't seen it on the 8th day!

Nest nesting 19th 8.jpg

When I looked around, I was there! A chick that has just left, no, young bird.

19th 9.jpg on the tree

The pheasant pigeon does not come to catch the food that humans sow like earth pigeons. From now on, I have to look for food myself. There were many typhoons in September, and it was raining on this nesting day, but it will surely grow strong.

Kiji pigeons are often paired, so if you see them, be sure to look for another one.
