At Tsukishima Onsen, Tsukishima Kannon

[Cotton] Nov. 29, 2016 12:00

In November, snow fell in the city center for the first time in 54 years, and a full-fledged cold has come.

In such a case, it is best to take a warm bath and warm it from the core. So, I would like to introduce Tsukishima Onsen to everyone.

The location is Tsukishima 3-chome in the middle of Tsukishima Nishinaka-dori, which is famous as Monja Street.

pb250102_250px.jpg

It is located in Tsukishima San Grampa, the same building as Tsukishima Kannon.

First of all, let's visit Kannon.

Tsukishima Kannon is officially named "Shinshu Zenkoji Temple Besin Honshoden Tsukishima Good luck Goddess of Mercy" and is located in the middle of the building at the back of the red Japanese lantern approach.

pb250109_150px.jpg pb250111_150px.jpg

It was built in 1951, and the main ancestors were Kannon Bodhisattva (Shinshu Zenkoji Temple Omoto wish) and Ikko Sanson Nyorai (repatriated from Zenkoji Temple).

It seems that there are benefits for good luck, discovery of lost items, and healing of the disease, so if you visit and take a bath, you will be more lucky and you will be able to spend the cold winter without knowing the disease.

Take the elevator beside Kannondo to the second floor.

When I entered the automatic door, shoe boxes lined up, and there was a counter-type reception on the right.

Entrance _200px.jpg

I decided to enter the sauna because it's a great deal today.

Once you have paid, you will receive a key for the sauna and a mat placed under your butt at the counter.

The specialty of this hot spring is hot water.

Soft water is used for all bathtubs, showers, and karans.

When you actually use soft water, the foaming when you whipped soap was different.

After flushing, the skin feels smooth

The bathtub is a jet bath. It is comfortable to massage around the waist.

And there is another herbal bath with eight kinds of medicinal herbs.

A lot of medicinal herbs were floating in the cloth bag. This seems to be effective.

Finally, to the sauna that is the most fun today. Those who enter the sauna have their mark keys and mats. If you don't have this, you can't enter it. After using the mat, return it to the basket beside the entrance.

The dressing room is also equipped with a dryer that can be used for 3 minutes and 30 minutes.

The locker is ¥100 (return type), so be sure to prepare some coins.

In commemoration, I purchased an original towel and drank ramune after bathing to enjoy the mood of Showa.

"Japanese Food Day" Special Lighting

[Sam] Nov. 24, 2016 14:00

DSC_0728RRLS'.jpg DSC_0019RRR'LS (2) '.jpg

From November 20 to November 24, the Tokyo Sky Tree is conducting a special lighting on the theme of "Japanese food", a Japanese food culture, in line with "November 24 is Japanese food day" proposed by the National Conference on Japanese Food Culture.

This time, the motif is the two types of menus of "Chirashi sushi" and "hand-rolled sushi", and the design is based on the expression of "colored" and "tasty atmosphere".

From 16:30 to 22:00, every hour and every 30 minutes, the tallest tower in the world is filled with "chirashi sushi" and "hand-rolled sushi" coloring the night sky.

In the "Chirashi sushi" pattern, white is vinegared rice, yellow is kinshi egg, yellowish green is avocado, red is tuna.

In the "hand-rolled sushi" pattern, we hear that white expresses vinegared rice, yellow is egg-yaki, red is tuna, green is cucumber, and deep green is seaweed.

In addition, it seems that intersection lighting is used to express purple soy sauce.

Although the delicate design alone has some difficulty in the visibility of distant view, on a clear day, you can enjoy a unique special lighting across the Eitai Bridge.

The illuminations of the Triton Bridge are also summarized in a simple tone this year.

"Tsukuda-ni restaurant Tsukushin" is a popular local Tsukudani restaurant

[Silver] Nov. 14, 2016 09:00

Fishermen from Tsukuda-mura, Nishinari-gun, a country of Settsu, reclaimed the tidal flats east of the gunshot in the Sumida River, settled in Tsukuda, put fish in Edo Castle, and sold the surplus at the fish market in Nihonbashi. Tsukudani has developed the surplus fish as a preserved food for fishermen. Initially, soy sauce came in from Noda in Shimousa's country, from the manufacturing method of simmering with salt water, and it evolved into soy sauce boiled.

Tsukudani on Tsukuda Island with such a history. Until just this time, Tsukudaniya thought that Tsukudaniya was only three stores in Tsukuda, "Honke Tsukudani Tanakaya", "Genso Tsukudani Tenan", and "Tsukudani Marukyu, founded in 1859". I love the Tsukudani of these three stores because of their differences. My friend sent me valuable information.

"The other day, when I was walking around Tsukuda, I was recommended by locals, but there is a new Tsukudani shop where I entered the alley on the right side toward Maruhisa!" .

1478666327191.jpg

Immediately, I visited the shop and investigated the "differences" between the establishment of the shop and other shops.

1478666353261.jpg

The shop has been producing Tsukudani since the war, mainly delivered directly to retail stores and inns, and has a history of more than 70 years.

Currently, the shop is the fourth generation, replacing his master Nobuo Kobayashi with his son Yoshihiro.

It was three years ago that we set up a retail store, but it was only a year ago that we placed signboards at the entrance of an alley. It seems that there are many patronages of the local people.

The product does not use preservatives, so it seems to have a taste period of about 3 weeks in the refrigerator.

The difference from the other three stores is that there are only one or two products of this store.

I took a look at the show window.

The inside of the shop is clean, organized and items are displayed.

DSC_2846.JPG

There are also individual product groups and reasonable prices.

1478666370363.jpg

That's why I have purchased "Kakuri Kombu" and "Denbu", which is made by combining soy sauce and sugar with tara no Slimi. I received the change for these two items for 1,000 yen.

1478666383916.jpg

Immediately, I ate for breakfast, but Kakuri kelp called "This is tsukudani!"

The slightly sweet denbu seems to be a grandchild's preference.

Mr. Nobuo Kobayashi, my husband, gave me a very friendly talk. That's why there are many local fans.

The address of the shop is 1-2-1 Tsukuda, Chuo-ku. Phone: 03-3531-7578.

www.tsukushin.jp Please patronize the three other stores as well.
