Genpei peach flowering

[Sam] March 28, 2018 16:00

DSC02199ELS'.jpgDSC02166RS''G.jpg This year, the kind of Hana peach "Genpei Momo", which has been improved for ornamental use, has been planted in the plaza in front of Aioi Bridge Minamizume, a complex at the southern end of Ishikawajima Park, blooms wonderfully.

The origin of the naming is that red and white (in addition, light red, spots / squeezing) blooms on a single tree, and the color of the Heike flag "Red" and the color of the Genji flag "White" fought in a mixed battle. It is said to have been parable in the Battle of Genpei.

It is said that the proportion of red, white, light red, spot and aperture flowers bloom in different aspects every year, and it is a natural phenomenon rich in mystery. Genpei peach with a glossy flower shape that shines in the deep blue sky and is a bit different from cherry blossoms. The season is full of spring.

Cherry blossoming in Okawabata

[saru] March 27, 2018 14:00

The other day, Tokyo also declared the blossoming of cherry blossoms. Shinkawa Park, Ishikawajima Park and Tsukuda Park, located between Eitai Bridge on the Sumida River and Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, are famous cherry blossom spots along both banks of the Sumida River. However, it seems that the flowering time is slightly different depending on the sunshine hours.

This is Tsukuda, Ishikawajima Park.

It was taken on the 25th, but it is almost in full bloom and is crowded with cherry blossom viewing visitors.

The floating sightseeing boat running on the river surface also stopped by the shore and slowed down to serve passengers.

Next is Shinkawa Park on the opposite bank. It's been filming on the morning of the 27th, but it's still 6 minutes.

This is a small cherry blossom that blooms in the square just behind Shinkawa Park. It seems to be a variety called Sunlight Sakura, and about 6 trees were planted, and this was already in full bloom.

If you combine the parks on both banks, you can enjoy a long-term performance of cherry blossoms (parks).

Cherry blossoms (Yoshino cherry tree) in full bloom

[Sam] March 26, 2018 14:00

P3250482ELS'.jpgDSC02207RS'G.jpg On March 24, the Tokyo Regional Meteorological Observatory announced that the cherry blossoms (Yoshino cherry tree) were in full bloom.

It is the third earliest in full bloom in the history of observation, 10 days earlier than normal and 9 days earlier than last year.

The maximum temperature in the city center on the 24th (Sat) was 16.6 ° C, and the following day (Sun) was 19.3 ° C. The temperature rose on both weekends, the blue sky spread, and we were blessed with a perfect cherry blossom viewing day .

The row of cherry blossom trees along the Sumida River in Tsukuda Park is just at its best and is crowded with a large number of cherry blossom visitors.

During this period, "Hanami boats" come and go frequently, and you can see the cherry blossoms near Chuo-ohashi Bridge, a new attraction of the Sumida River Hanami Cruise, from the boat, while feeling the spring breeze.
