Sumida River Terrace Tsukiji Ohashi to Kachidokibashi

[Slow of Satsuki's Koi] April 24, 2018 18:00

You can see Tsukiji Market from the Sumida River Terrace Kachidoki side between Tsukiji Ohashi and Kachidokibashi.

<<<<Look at Tsukiji Market from the Kachidoki side >>>>>

(Because Tsukiji Ohashi is not in service yet, Kachidokibashi is the first bridge of the Sumida River.)

It seems that the market relocation was decided in October this year, so we can see the market from here in the second half of the year.

The place where the skyscraper behind the market is Shiodome, which used to be the Japan National Railways Freight Station.

A service line was laid from the Japan National Railways Freight Station (Shiodome Station) to the market (Tokyo Ichiba Station).

Shiodome Station of the Japanese National Railways has changed its name to Shimbashi Station, a railway starting station from Japan, but it is Shiodome Station.

You can see that it is curved. There is also a column number left. >>>>

That's why there is still a platform where wagons stop, and the outer circumference of the market is fan-shaped.

You can see Tokyo Tower in the center of the photo, but the building is under construction in the foreground and gradually disappears.

From the Sumida River Terrace, this scenery (Tokyo Tower and Tsukiji Market) will change a lot in about six months.

As Rikyu flowers are in the field

[Asunaro] April 23, 2018 12:00

Riku plum has begun to bloom.

 Riku plum _450.jpg

The words of flowers are "constant beauty" and "elegance".

With a modest feeling, elegant flowers are not too assertive.
It seems to be used as a tea flower.

For this reason, the word "Rikyu plum" may be applied.
Since it is a flower that came to Japan during the Meiji era, what is the tea master Sen no Rikyu?
It doesn't seem to have anything to do.

 Recyuby_450.jpg

The buds and flowering are about the same.
The contrast between fresh green leaves and white flowers is good.
It gives you a refreshing impression.

In Rikyu's words, "flowers are in the field."

It is beautiful as it is natural and expresses the sense of the current season.
It's a perfect flower.

Early Summer Walk in Early Summer

[HK] April 21, 2018 18:00

Take a walk in Tsukuda after a long time. If you look at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda Kobashi area, there is a wonderful shadow race there. There is also a place in Chuo-ku where you can relax in nature.

While walking around Tsukuda area, found a nice lace shadow by looking at Tsukuda Park from Tsukuda-kobashi bridge direction.
There are places in Chuo-ward that people can feel the nature and relax.

I found cute flowers nearby.

Pretty flowers!

There are still a lot of nice places.

So many splendid places in the district.

◆ Spring on the Asashio Canal, Sakura Kobashi and Waterside

[Sumida Fireworks] April 20, 2018 14:00

The refreshing season has come. The cherry blossoms in Tokyo are almost over, but I guess you probably enjoyed the spring when the cherry blossoms bloom on either side.

This year, there were many sunny days, so I was able to enjoy the cherry blossoms on the waterside calmly, including the Sumida River.

In Chuo-ku, there are many waterfronts that flow slowly between urban buildings. The cherry blossoms that bloom as if they blend into the waterside scenery seem to have something special that is slightly different from other cherry blossoms.

This spring, there was a waterside that I wanted to visit. It is a cherry blossom promenade in Harumi, Chuo-ku.

s_hanabi58-1.jpg

This "Sakura promenade" is a small path along the Asashio Canal, and cherry blossoms are in full bloom for hundreds of meters. And last fall, a new bridge was built over this morning tide canal. It is a pedestrian-only bridge, and its name is "Sakura Kobashi".

The scenery of cherry blossoms blooms on the waterside, and the cherry blossoms look like the scenery with the waterside.

It was a bridge with the word cherry blossoms, so if you cross it, I thought it would be good when the cherry blossoms bloom. Just having the cherry blossoms in the name of the bridge makes you feel a little peaceful.

One of the reasons for selecting the name of this bridge is the bridge leading to the cherry blossom promenade. The place where it was built is the junction with the Tsukishima River, which is known for its row of cherry trees. So, I think it became a very suitable name.

s_hanabi58-2.jpg

This bridge looks very stylish. The girder thickness is extremely thin and the bridge piers is wide, so the ship is easy to pass through and has a clean design. Also, the pale-colored tiles colored on the bridge girder give a very soft impression. I was able to feel the spring of the waterside at the spring bridge of the Asashio Canal.

s_hanabi58-3.jpg

This bridge connects Kachidoki and Harumi.

On the Harumi side is Triton Square, a large building. Many company workers cross the Asashio Canal, but recently more and more young people choose this place as a living city, and many children play.

There are still many young trees on the cherry blossom promenade, but by the time the children grew up here as their hometown and grew up, I think that the cherry blossoms on this promenade are also growing.

From the Kachidoki side, where the land is slightly lower, climb the stairs just before crossing. Since it is a pedestrian-only bridge, when you are cycling, get off and climb the bridge using a gentle slope. The width of the bridge is made wider at the entrance than in the middle, so it is a very easy-to-approach bridge. And as the surroundings become darker, it changes to a moist atmosphere.

s_hanabi58-4.jpg

The neighborhood is also a quiet residential area, so the bridge is a little modest impression that matches the atmosphere of this place without asserting itself. In particular, the Harumi area seen from the slope on the Kachidoki side has a very calm atmosphere, even though it is a futuristic landscape.

s_hanabi58-5.jpg

From now on, it will be a beautiful season of fresh greenery, but if you look for fresh greenery in the city, you will be able to find a relaxing landscape. And if it is a waterside landscape, it feels very refreshing.

There are many watersides in Chuo-ku. I hope you will continue to enjoy the spring of the waterside of Chuo-ku.
