To the side of Akatsuki Park, a mansion in Hoshu Katsuragawa?

[Shubo's Ten Hands] March 13, 2018 12:00

DSCN1034.JPG

The photo (Keisen Yashiki) shows the historical site information board (Tsukiji 7-chome 10) set up by the City Board of Education.

The Katsuragawa family had been living in Tsukiji since around the Kyoho period (1716-1736).

He was famous as a back doctor of Waran surgeon, and at the time of climbing the castle, he accompanied 11 people, and Hagimoto also gave way.

Before the Meiji Restoration (1863), there was a large fire at Tsukiji Temple, and a fire broke out from the direction of the Keisen family, and fired, but immediately after the fire, he took over the residence of "Yanagi Tsushima Mamoru" and moved.

The area was over 1200 tsubo, and there was a large garden. 。 There was a residence of the Okudaira family of the Nakatsu clan across Akashibori (Akatsuki Park), and Yukichi Fukuzawa taught Dutch studies.

The residence of Shigenobu Okuma is a restaurant's new pleasure.

[Shubo's Ten Hands] March 11, 2018 18:00

In May 1869, Shigenobu Okuma worshiped the mansion of the Hagimoto Togawa family in Tsukiji and Honganji (the front entrance was near the out-of-market market) facing the street (Shin-ohashi-dori St.). I bought it. There is also a document with that.
In Okuma's mansion, many people who took the lead of the Meiji government gathered (Ito Hirobumi, Kaoru Inoue, Tomoatsu Godai, etc.). It was as if it were a night.
It is one of Japan's leading restaurants and is a selection venue for the Akutagawa Prize and Naoki Prize.

Here on the way back from shopping at Tsukiji Market. ⁉。 Surprise

Special edition of Nagasakiya

[yaz] March 11, 2018 14:00

Last year, I reported in a series about Nagasakiya (Arandakan) in Nihonbashi Honishi-cho, but this episode describes the process from when I moved to Matsumachi, a gunshot ship as an outer part of this episode to the fall of my house.

On July 1, 1858 (1858), the Treaty on theDutch trading post of Dejima, Nagasaki, was also abolished. In October, Nagasaki magistrate's office rowed the Dutch books purchased in Nagasaki to Edo, and stamped all the Dutch books with Nagasakiya in Honishi-cho, Edo as the Bansho Handling Office. A copy of this seal was transmitted to the book wholesaler "Sabei" and one other person at Tori 2-chome through the town elder "Tateichi Uemon" (Nihonbashi Honmachi).

Nagasakiya Genemon, the eleventh generation head of Nagasakiya (Ebara), thoughtfully submitted an application to Nagasaki magistrate's office. "I've been serving as a Dutch inn and other Nagasaki Omote merchant, but it's often burned down by fires and it's difficult, so I'd like to rent a place at Honishicho 3-chome, my residence so far, and earn income. I'd like to get a convenient place with a riverbank somewhere in Fukagawa or Honjo, so I'd like to get permission. "

Nagasakiya map expansion. png

The Nagasaki Office accepted this application and decided to try to contact each other. There may be various problems because it is a samurai area, but we decided to consider Funamatsumachi, a convenient place to dock on the banks of Tsukiji as a candidate. By constructing a building for the government office that performs the conventional ginseng (sales of medicinal ginseng) and new use "Channel handling", it was possible to ask whether it was possible.

Although Nagasakiya is a townspeople, permission was obtained with sticky notes because it would be permitted if it could be treated as "the same way as a purveyor townspeople."

Old map of Nagasakiya (Funa Matsumachi) png

If you show the location on the current map, it will be behind St. Luke Hospital as follows.

Nagasakiya (Funa Matsumachi) _ Current location after relocation. png

In the first year of the Meiji era, a Western-style book that seems to have been used by the Tokyo Unsho (water-cooked Jisaku) was discovered.
In July 1868 (1868), a foreign secretariat located in the gunshot will receive the goods left at the Nagasaki Kaisho. Among them, more than 17,000 Western books were included. This Nagasaki Kaisho is the "Edo Nagasaki Kaisho", and in 1860 (1860), at Funamatsucho 2-chome in Edo (currently along the Sumida River, 6-7 Akashicho, Chuo-ku), "Bansho" (= Western-style) In addition to selling West guns, it refers to Genemon Nagasakiya (Ebara) who served as a purveyor at the Nagasaki Kaisho.

Genemon's house was off at Matsumachi 2-chome, the gunshot ship, and was a riverside along the north side of Mamoru Wakasa Yashiki. Nagasakiya also sold imported rifles, and the business flourished and the economy was good and started a new business. We worked together with Nihei, a chojiya in Shin-Takigi-cho, and played a role in raw silk trade. I moved from Funamatsumachi to a landfill that continued in Minami-Iida-cho, but as a result of the conclusion of the Ansei Treaty, I had to open Tokyo and decided to build a settlement in Tsukiji. As a result, the land of Genemon had to be removed. After that, he moved to the back tenement house of Honjo Koume, and died on August 5, 1875, leaving five children. Nagasakiya contributed greatly to opening the door to overseas during the Edo period, which continued isolation, but at the end it was an unexpected result. There is no one who claims to be Ebara's last name now.

Sumida River Terrace (prologue) to enjoy walking

[Slow of Satsuki's Koi] March 10, 2018 14:00

Sumida River Terrace (prologue) to enjoy walking

Enjoy walking along the Sumida River Terrace from Kachidokibashi to Kiyosubashi. The course departs near Tsukiji Ohashi.

Cross Kachidokibashi, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, Chuo-ohashi Bridge, Shinkawa Park, Eitai Bridge, Kiyosu Bridge. All walk under the bridge

(Refer to the map)

Map_2.jpg

During this time, the Tsukishima River Suimon detours and walks on general roads, but there is no traffic light and you can walk while enjoying the scenery of the Sumida River.

First of all, last year, the Tokyo Tower was specially lit up for two days, October 27 (Fri) and Saturday, October 28 1000 days before the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The display of 1000 was only one east side (Shibakoen area), and it could be seen between Kachidokibashi and Tsukiji Ohashi, but it was unfortunate rain on October 28.

Another story of last year. Vegetables are high from last year to this year, but the cause is the cold and the typhoon of last year. On the morning after the typhoon on October 22, the Sumida River terrace near Kachidokibashi. It's flooded as shown in the picture. I saw it for the first time that the water surface has risen so far. The sluice gate was also closed.

Walk around Chuo-ku, Senshafuda stamp rally until March 31

[Silver] March 10, 2018 09:00

From March 1st, "Senshafuda stamp rally walking around Chuo-ku" has begun. The period is until March 31st (Sat).

To participate, first obtain the stamp rally mount, G Info in the Ginza area, the General Information Center Plat Tsukiji area, Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center in the Nihonbashi area, Ningyocho area in front of the Ningyocho Shopping Street Cooperative Office (Great Kannon Terashita), Tsukishima Monja Promotion Association, Chuobashi area in the Tsukishima area.

The location of the stamp seal is the same as the location of the above-mentioned mount. And, if you answer the questionnaire with the participation prize `` Sensha Bill Seal written by Edo Character Craftsman '' that you can always get, the place where you can receive prizes in the area that you may be able to get by lottery is the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center in the Kyobashi area, The first start should be started from a place other than Kyobashi.

As it was getting warmer, on March 3rd, G Info took a walk from the Tsukiji Outer Market General Information Center Plat Tsukiji and the Tsukishima Monja Promotion Association Cooperative in the Tsukishima area. I thought it was a bit far to walk to Ningyocho and Nihonbashi, so I came up with a good thing.

And we used "Edo Bus", the foot of Chuo Ward residents. I got a transfer ticket to the North Loop and went from Tsukishima to Nihonbashi for 100 yen. (Because it was Saturday, the stamp place in Ningyocho was closed.)

The Edo bus driver was very kind to issue a transfer ticket and also told me where to transfer.

The Nihonbashi Tourist Information Center sells not only stamps but also long-established products in Nihonbashi, so we decided on the items and purchased "Arihei Sugar vanilla Milk Candy" from Eitarou Sohonpo.

I think this will also be popular in the return of White Day. (I'm self-consumption)

At the Chuo-ku Tourist Information Center on the first basement floor of Kyobashi Edgran, I showed a mount and received a participation prize, "Sensha Bill Sticker written by Edo Character Craftsman," which I could always get.

1520067534727.jpg

I answered the questionnaire and tried the lottery, but I still don't seem to have a lottery.

I enjoyed a little late lunch at a shop in the basement of Kyobashi Edgran, and rewarded myself.

1520067684747.jpg

Well, why don't you take a walk and join the Senshafuda stamp rally? It's really fun.

※ The participation prize "Sensha Bill Sticker written by Edo Character Craftsman" is a wonderful Edo character drawn by Tsutaya Shoten in Tsukiji. Tsutaya Shoten participates in the "Chuo-ku Machikado Museum".

Tsumugi Oshima "Eiko's knitting exhibition" to be held on March 12 at St. Luke's Gallery.

[Sakura is good] March 9, 2018 14:00

Did you know that there is a first gallery in the space in front of the restaurant on the first floor of the main building of St. Luke's International Hospital? "Eiko's knitting clothing exhibition" will be held from March 12 (Mon) to March 17 (Sat) from 10:00 to 17:00. ※It will be held until 14:00 on the 17th.

Using authentic Amami Oshima Tsumugi woven silk thread and Amami muddy silk thread, we hand-knit original works in the image of Amami's nature. I would be happy if you could feel the gentle comfort of 100% silk thread hats, shawls, boleros, gloves, accessories, etc.

thumb_primary.jpg20180206134104-0001-1024x691.jpg

In addition to St. Luke's Gallery, Eiko Mori has held solo exhibitions in New York and other places in addition to Ginza, Asakusa, Kawagoe, Kagurazaka, and Amami Oshima Island in Japan, and overseas in New York, due to a relationship living in New York.

auto-HDrS0C.JPG

Aiko is from Kasari-cho, Amami City, Kagoshima Prefecture. On September 16, 2017, at Amami Park on Amami Oshima Island, he held "Eiko's knitting and fashion show" in his hometown, which had been a dream for many years. A friend who came from Tokyo and a friend from Amami Oshima Island took on the model on the day, and it was very exciting with the collaboration of Shima-uta.

I would like to introduce the work of Aiko.

DSC_0038.jpg160712_2144-01.jpgDSC_0010.jpg

For the lady, the wedding dress was made for 100% silk in time for the wedding. Next to the right is the dress of her mother, Aiko. It seems that the dream was to wear Aiko's handmade clothes with them.

2016 The 24th Yuzawaya Creative Grand Prize Exhibition Hand-knitting Category Bronze Award in 2016, and the 23rd Yuzawaya Creative Grand Prize Exhibition Knit Category Grand Prize in 2014.

Aiko's parents' house was the origin of Oshima Tsumugi in Kasari-cho. I grew up watching the process of weaving Oshima Tsumugi from an early age. I lived abroad with Venezuela New York on my husband's transfer.

After returning to Japan, I awakened to my identity, worked on silk threads by dyeing threads with muddy dyeing Amami Oshima Tsumugi, started with thread making, and knitted by hand. It is said that you feel the happiest when you are knitting. If you like the work, you seem to have a desire to wear it every day without regret, rather than taking care of it.

It's 100% silk and one item. I don't have the same product. Since several threads of different colors are twisted to make a single thread, you can enjoy it just by seeing the work in various colors.

A haori that goes well with Western clothing Speaking of Amami Oshima Island, NHK Taiga drama series's "Saigo Don" is aired, but Tatsugochou, who had been living under the name of Gengo Kikuchi for 2 years, is located next to Kasaricho (1858, 1858, 1858, 31, 1859, 12 January 12, 1859, 1859000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

It is a place where Saigo Takamori wanted to build a new house for Aikana and Kikujiro, designed by himself and walked around places where typhoons could not hit. It is Designated Cultural Property of the prefecture, but since it is privately owned, I made a reservation in advance. I was sorry that Mr. Shoichiro Ryu, the owner, welcomed me and told me carefully.

Blessed with Aikana and two children (Kikujiro and Kikukusa) in Tatsugo-cho, I thought that I could have had the happiest time in my life, while slowly watching the items related to Saigo Takamori. I was there.

DSC_1149.jpg DSC_1151.jpg

The second wife Aikana and the statue of Takamori Saigo were displayed on the forehead.

If you look closely at the fine stone monument on the way back, the inscription erected in 1898 Meiji 31 by the efforts of Oshima Shimaji and Gisuke Sasamori was based on the calligraphy of Kaishu Katsu.

Did you know that Saigo-don lived in Nihonbashi Ningyocho for two years from 1871 to 6? 1871 1871 Joined the Meiji Government at the age of 44. Abandoned clan is established. 1872 In 1872, he was appointed as a 45-year-old member of the House of Councillors, General of the Army, and Governor of Konoe. 1873 Submitted his resignation from the conflict over dispatch to Korea in 1873 and returned to Kagoshima.

It seems that the residence of Gagaku Mamoru Sakai, which has Nihonbashi Elementary School, Kindergarten, Nihonbashi Library, and Uokyu, was made into mansion, but he purchased 2,633 tsubo for 1,586 yen. However, Saigo-don used only the tenement house in the mansion. I understand the character of Saigo Don well.

"Kappo cuisine Toyoda" is a shop that was integrated in 1863 with the stalls "Tengu Sushi" and "Toyoda" from two shops into the present "Kappo cuisine Toyoda". We spoke with Mr. Takashi Hashimoto, the fourth generation. I heard a story from the second generation old woman. It seems that Saigo Don came to eat "Akaberoberoshobazushi (tuna pickled)". It seems that there is also a project to reproduce the supervision of Yoshino sushi "Akaberobero Shoppashi".

"Senbikiya Sohonten" Founded in 1834 in 1834, it is said that it was located near Ningyocho 3-chome in Oyabashi, right next to the mansion where Saigo Don lived. On a hot summer day, I ordered the second generation Mura Ouchi, saying, "Oh, a strange watermelon, please bring me." The loud voice was heard in the store. I asked Senbikiya that Saigo Don was a favorite of Switzerland.

When asked about his future success, Aiko is scheduled to hold a solo exhibition at Keio Plaza Hotel from December 1 (Sun) to 12 (Wed), 2018.

It would be nice to be able to transform this Japanese brand into knitting using silk in the age of kimono separation, and even today, wearing the softness and lightness of silk to the touch of silk, and transmitting this Japanese brand to the world. I think the hosting of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is an opportunity to attract more attention from people around the world. I would like to keep in mind "hospitality" that expresses the heart of Japan from now on.

(Mr. Eiko Mori, Mr. Ryu of Saigo Nanshu, Mr. Ryu, Mr. Kappo cuisine Toyoda, and Mr. Senbikiya Sohonten received the interview and consent of the description in the photo.)
