A variety of sweets limited to the main store of Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei

[Mapo ★] January 28, 2011 13:00

Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei is a long-established rice cracker that has been over 190 years old.
There are other stores such as Tokyo Station and Ginza Mitsukoshi.
When you walk from Sukiyabashi to Harumi-dori St. toward Wako, the main store is located on the left corner.

There are several products that are limited to the main store in this main store.

★Edo board Kasutera
It arrives every Friday at about 2 o'clock.
At one point, it is almost sold out on Saturdays and Sundays, so it is difficult to buy it even if you go on weekdays.
I've been full of reservations for weeks ahead, but now I feel calm.

Kobe also has a soft baked famous confectionery, but it's a bit similar.
This tiled rice cracker-like castella is moist and very delicious.

★Shami-torso (tile rice cracker)
I bought it several times as a souvenir for returning home to Osaka.
Not only the taste but also the cute pattern with plenty of seasonal feeling is attractive.
You can buy a standard shami torso at department stores.
It seems that the seasonal pattern is limited to the main store.
Spring, summer, rainy season, Christmas, I bought various seasonal items (*^^*)

matu4.jpg matu5.jpg

It's my favorite sweets at Matsuzaki Senmochi.

★Oedo tile and fried rice loaf oil taste
Oedo tiles are also limited to the main store.
This tile cracker is a package like an aerial photograph of Edo.
It's good as a souvenir for homecoming.

The fried rice cake is not limited to the main store, but I bought it in limited quantities last November.
It seemed to have a good reputation and has been resold since the beginning of this year.
There was also fried rice with salty and soy sauce flavor.
The crispy fried rice cake has a ra oil flavor, a little spicy and delicious!

Matsuzaki Senmochi also has a tea ceremony, but that article will be the next time.♪

The blog written by the president is also interesting.

On the street corner of the employment ice age

[Shitamachi Tom] January 26, 2011 17:01

201101 Employment 3.jpg

In recent years, TV and newspapers have often reported that "employment ice age" is. There are many companies in Chuo-ku, so I'm a little worried.

If you are told that the unemployment rate for university students is the lowest in history, you will wonder, "What is going on in the world?"bearing

The place where such job hunting students enter and exit is [R25Cafe] of Recruit Ginza 7-chome Building.

201101 Employment 1.jpg

There are also young people who talk happily alongside university students who struggle with job hunting. Both are part of the lifestyle of the younger generation.

I wanted the world to improve the economy and be able to talk brightly about job hunting, so I rushed to my house in Ginza, where the cold wind blows.shoe

The wonderful shops in Ginza are full of shadow pictures.

[Shitamachi Tom] January 26, 2011 09:00

ROYG(1)_R.JPGGinza is a place where a wide variety of restaurants are lined up, from gorgeous shops to popular shops.

You will find your favorite store in each of them. And many people think that spot is an important place, such as a place to relax, a "communication space".ROYG(2)_R.JPG

The shop I often visit is [R ◇ yG-Bi △] in Ginza 5-chome. Despite being in the middle of Ginza, the warm homey atmosphere will soften your heart. And now we have the popular delicious Belgian beer.

ROYG(3)_R.JPGThe concept of this shop is "shadow picture". Many works by shadow artist Yuko Hamasaki are on display.

As a report on Yuko Hamasaki's work, <Ginzo-san> mentioned in "Tsukiji TASS Gallery-Wakamatsuya Two-person Exhibition has begun" on October 28, last year, so please take a look. .

In the hustle and bustle of the city, a moment to take a break surrounded by fantastic shadow pictures ... It's a relieved feeling when you look at the picture.

After all, it is a place you want to cherish and it is a time you want to cherish.confident

A variety of Japanese sweets from Ginza Tamaya

[Mapo ★] January 25, 2011 16:00

Speaking of Tamaya, it is a shop famous for its Tokyo souvenir "Gomatamago".
The main store is located along Showa-dori, 7-chome in Ginza.

Cookies such as sesame eggs and sakura Hitohira are available.
It is often seen on the premises of Tokyo Station.
There are many products in the main store that you can't find anywhere else.

It is called Tamanoko matching, packed with bean paste in the middle of your own.
There are times when we eat freshly made food.
I couldn't eat grain bean paste, so I bought a sesame egg pudding.

tama1.jpg tama2.jpg

The caramel part is black sesame paste.
It is a mysterious pudding with a Japanese style (*^^*)

And this seems to be a recent product.
Small thorned rice cake

tam4.jpg tam3.jpg

I jumped on because I love Mitarashi dumplings (laughs).
The taste of black sesame and soy sauce is a little darker but delicious!

It's nice to have a large size and 6 pieces.
It's just the right size when you want to eat a little bit.
There are up to 12, 20, 30, 40 pieces.

In addition to the Ginza Main Store, there are also stores at Tokyo Daimaru, Tokyo Station, and the airport.

◎Correspondent's Shopping Street Visit (13th) Safe, Secure, and Clean Town Development / Ginza 1-4-chome Namiki-dori St. Association

[Marbo] January 19, 2011 09:00

The center of commerce Chuo-ku There are many lively shopping streets in Japan.

Correspondents visit, see, and hear the shopping streets that are loved by the locals, prospered with the residents, and familiar to them. It conveys the lively charm and vitality, special information, etc. Chuo-ku This is the 13th "correspondent's Shopping Street Visit" that introduces the shopping associations and shopping streets.

****************************************************

◎Correspondent Visit to Shopping Street (13th)◎

Creating a safe, secure and clean city / Ginza 1-4-chome Namiki-dori St. Association

Namiki-dori St. is a street where old and new shops line up and reflect the history of Ginza deeply. By Harumi-dori St., Namiki-dori St. is roughly divided into 1-4 chome and 5-8 chome.
Today, we talked to Chairman Matsuzaki of the Street Association about the Ginza 1-4-chome Namiki-dori St. Association, which has achieved unique development.

Namiki_01.jpg

①What is the history of the store association?

Along with Ginza Chuo-dori, Namiki-dori St. is connected by one across Ginza 1-8 chome, but if you look at Harumi-dori St. as a river, 1-4 chome and 5-8 chome are on the opposite shore, and the composition of the city itself is different.

5-8 chome has the structure of a city where there are many individual stores such as restaurants and bars, and the number of brand stores has increased along with it.
On the other hand, 1-4 chome was home to newspapers and large companies, so there were many lands with relatively large frontages, and even after rebuilding, the streets became dotted with large buildings. I have a structure.

The store association itself was founded in 1994, and is a new street association (store association) in Ginza.
About 20 years ago, a story about expanding the sidewalk of Namiki-dori St. and changing it to a way that is easy for people to walk up from 5-8 chome, and a sidewalk filled with marble was completed.

A few years later, there was a plan to develop sidewalks in 1-4 chome, and the management organization "Ginza 1-4 chome Namiki-dori St. Association" was established.
It is a "dori-kai" with a history that was established with the aim of spreading the sidewalk and keeping the city clean, so it is slightly different from other shopping streets that have been spontaneously gathered.

In addition, concrete blocks called interlocking are laid on the sidewalks of 1-4 chome.
Namiki_02.jpg
It may be interesting to walk along Namiki-dori St. while watching the difference in the materials on the sidewalk.

②What is the size and characteristics of the store association?

The store association faces Namiki-dori St. from 1-chome to 4-chome.
Currently, there are about 70 member stores.

At present, the big commercial building is where a large company has been rebuilt.
Large buildings such as Plantan Ginza (formerly Yomiuri Shimbun Headquarters), Belvia Hall (formerly Fuji Film), ZOE Ginza (formerly Toho Seimei) and relatively small select shops are mixed in a good mix, so it is sharp and I think it's a fun street to walk.

Namiki_03.jpg
In addition, when you enter the alley, there are popular restaurants, and there are a wide variety of shops, from luxury shops to red lanterns, so I think that it is a street where you can enjoy the unique charm of Ginza.

③What's the difference?

In recent years, the number of young women visiting the city has increased.
In recent years, the flow of people from a large commercial building (Yurakucho Itosia) built in front of Yurakucho Station to Ginza Chuo-dori through Plantan Ginza, Marronnier Gate, and Marronnier Street has been fixed.
The number of unique shops on Namiki-dori St. along the way has also increased, and people are flowing from Marronnier Street to Namiki-dori St.
Namiki_04.jpg
Even at Namiki-dori St., 5-8 chome is lined with luxury brand stores, but 1-4 chome has many select shops and unique stores, and as a result, it feels like it attracts young women.

④Do you have any unique services or events offered at the store association?

Since it is a "street society" that assumes that the aesthetics of the street are protected, the store association's own services, events, and sales are not provided at this time.
At Autumn Ginza, a festival of the entire Ginza held at the end of October, Ginza 1-4-chome Namiki-dori St. Association is also sponsoring, but it has not yet been reached before holding its own event.

⑤As the chairman's hot feelings ...

We regard "safety, security and cleanliness" as the most important thing for a street party.
We believe these three are the biggest services for customers who come to Namiki-dori St..
We strive to create a city that "If you go to Ginza, you can shop safely and with peace of mind", and as well as Namiki-dori St. 1-4 chome, as well as the entire city of Ginza, we are working to create a city based on the common recognition that we must protect this "safety, security and cleanliness".

Namiki_05.jpgIn addition, as the number of foreign customers is increasing, we believe that "safety, security, and cleanliness" will lead to a better image not only in Ginza but also in Japan.
From now on, I would like to continue to adhere to these three keywords to make Ginza better.

<Additional Story>

The oldest shop in the store association is Matsuzaki Senmochi, where Chairman Matsuzaki is president, and has a history of nearly 200 years.

Namiki_06.jpgNowadays, it is fashionable and state-of-the-art Namiki-dori St., but it was originally a living road.
In the past, there was a fruit and vegetable market in Kyobashi, so the vegetables transported by boat from Chiba were replaced with Daihachi cars at the dock in Kibiki-cho, and they were passing through Namiki-dori St. while pulling with horses. is.

In the past, there was a drinking fountain in the middle of Namiki-dori St. where horses could drink water.
In this way, Namiki-dori St. did not start with a shopping street lined with shops, but it seems that the development of living roads was realized.
It was an unimaginable story from the current Namiki-dori St.

<Report>

Mr. Matsuzaki is like Ginza's living character, but it was a very soft atmosphere, and I was very careful during the interview, and if I noticed it, the interview time was greatly exceeded.
Not only long-established shops that have been around for a long time, but also new shops that are newly opened in Ginza love the city of "Ginza", and it is clearly understood that individual efforts are being made to make Ginza better.
It was an interview that made the walk in Ginza even more enjoyable. Thank you very much, Mr. Matsuzaki.

Umeboshi of Godaian

[Mapo ★] January 18, 2011 09:00

Founded in 1834, it is a shop of a company called Higashi Farm in Wakayama.

There are seven directly managed stores in Wakayama, Osaka and Tokyo.

One of them, GINZA Godaian, is located along the Sotobori-dori St. at 8-chome.

My husband's mother likes umeboshi, so I bought it as a souvenir for homecoming.

Assorted what you like and put it in a box. The box is limited to Ginza (*^^ *)

goda2.jpg goda1.jpg

This Tetra Pak can be carried around or a little snack.

The bottom is plum dried with no seeds I bought for myself. Perfect for a snack!

 That said, it's too expensive for a snack because it's 105 yen per grain (^^;

It's not sour at all, and it's delicious with natural sweetness! I was able to taste it at the shop.

goda3.jpg

And in addition, I got 3 kinds of Tetra plum dried!

This is also 105 yen per copy, but it's really delicious ~ (* ^^ *)

But there were also 420 yen per grain and 3150 yen per grain.

One seems to be big, but I want to eat it once as a story!

There were many kinds of plum wine.
