When I heard that a skating rink was built on the roof of Ginza Matsuya, I went to the rooftop of a department store for the first time in decades. The rooftop I imagined was a children's amusement park and a snack shop for children, but I was completely disappointed.
The rooftop was marked SORA x NIWA, which was completely different from the rooftop of an old department store. When I got off the elevator, there was a corner like a study, which contained several books. There was also an electrical outlet on the long table facing the wall, and there was a space for simple work on a personal computer. There was also a broadcasting room for about 4 people. I heard that they were broadcasting using the Internet during Matsuya's business hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a picture because it was just broadcasting when I visited.
When I went outside, there was a hot topic ICE PARK (skate rink). This is Japan's first rooftop link to a department store and is a limited-time event until March 2. The fee is 2100 yen with shoes until 5:00, and 2900 yen from 5:00 to 10:00. The first thing I thought about when I saw this link was the scene of "a poem of love". By the way, couples seem to have a service with shoes and drinks for 5,000 yen from 5:00. I thought, "If I'm a little younger."
On the other side of the skating rink, there is also a golf practice area called Golf Terrace, where a golf school is held. It seems that you can do it when it is empty.
What has not changed since ancient times was that "Ryuko Fudoson" is enshrined. It is very common for Japanese people to worship Fudo and Inari on the roof of the building, but for some reason I was relieved.
