Tokyo Sky Tree "Sakura Special Lighting"

[Sam] March 6, 2019 14:00

DSC08778ELS'.jpgDSC02029'RS'G.jpg On March 1st, the Tokyo Sky Tree began lighting of "Sakura Special Lighting".

From 17:30 to 18:30, a simple production of a light-colored intersection lighting that shines brightly in white.

From 18:30 to 22:00, the lighting "Mai" is based on the theme of the beauty of cherry blossom petals dancing. The tower body is colored with pink shades, and the white intersection lighting shines like cherry blossom petals.

From 22:00 to 24:00, one of the standard lighting "Nobori" is lit.

During this time, "Sakura Waku Waku stamp rally 2019", a tour of the surrounding sightseeing spots while finding "Sakura color", and a participatory dance program "Sorakara-chan's Sakura ☆ Dance!" Various spring events such as "SKYTREE ROUND THEATER" special video screening are scheduled.

From Chuo-ohashi Bridge, you can see the radiance of colors that create a spring-like atmosphere.

I read the budget (draft) for FY2019, Chuo-ku

[wienerhorn] March 6, 2019 12:00

Hot Plaza Harumi IMG_5710.jpgI read the budget (draft) for FY2019 published on the homepage of Chuo-ku.
The general account exceeded 100 billion yen for the first time as an initial budget.
It is a budget that takes into account population growth, the Tokyo 2020 Games, and the infrastructure development committee with a view to the "200,000 cities" ahead.
Among the new major businesses, I focused on the following:

・Local rat control promotion project
・Revision of bridge life extension repair plan
・Survey of New Subway Lines
・Maintenance of "Edo Bus" Free Wi-Fi
・Noh and Kabuki appreciation classes
・Participation in Brasilian Youth School Games
・Development of Tokiwa Elementary School (Annex)
・Origami Crane Project (tentative name)
・Renewal of warm bath Plaza Hot Plaza Harumi

In particular, I'm worried about the new subway line, Hot Plaza Harumi, etc.
What kind of business are you interested in?

2019 Cherry Blossom Flowering

[Sam] March 4, 2019 14:00

DSC08757ELS'.jpgDSC08738RS'G.jpg The early blooming "Okanzakura" on the Sumida River Terrace on the south side of Eitai Bridge West-filled has bloomed.

Okangakura is said to be a hybrid of Kanhizakura and oshima cherry. The tree height is about 5 to 10 meters, the tree shape is large, the light red petals are round and large, and there are many fine cuts at the tip.

It is one of the representative cherry blossoms in early spring, also known as "Angyo Kanzakura", because it spread throughout the country from the logs in Angyo in Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture.

Japanese white-eye and brown-eared bulbul are coming to suck the nectar.

Along with "Kawazu Sakura" on the northeast side of Shinkawa Park Sumida River Terrace Chuo-ohashi Bridge, you can experience spring a little earlier.

Kawazu Sakura, which bloomed again this year

[Slow of Satsuki's Koi] March 3, 2019 12:00

Snow fell in Tokyo at the beginning of February, but it seems to be a warm winter this year, and there are many warm days near March, and Kawazu cherry blossoms where Shinkawa Park and Chuo-ohashi Bridge are over began to bloom .

I often pass around here, so I watch it while worrying, but in mid-February after the snow falls, the buds are swelling and bloom on the 17th as shown in the photo. About a month, this cherry tree blooms early and has a slightly dark color.
The next that blooms is the cherry blossoms of Eitai Bridge Nishizume, followed by the cherry blossoms of Tsukuda Park and Shinkawa Park.
It is a good time to walk around the Sumida River Terrace in the coming season.

By the way, Chuo-ohashi Bridge, which came out of this year's certification question, was completed in 1993.
