A man with eight faces and six arms who went to Nagasakiya
Kawayanagi wrote, "The bell of Kokumachi can be heard up to red hair," because there was a Nagasakiya, which was used by a group of Dutch trading post (Capitan) from Nagasaki to Edo, near The Bell of Time.
The attendants included Western intellectuals such as doctors and naturalists, making it one of the few places of exchange with Western civilization. One of the people who visited Nagasakiya in Nihonbashi Motoishi-cho during their stay was Gennai Hiraga.
Gennai Hiraga, who has been active in the eight-faced six arms, such as herbologists, geologists, Dutch scholars, and playwrights, wrote a preface to Hosomi Yoshiwara's "Hosomi Goedo" at the request of Juzaburo Tsutaya in 1774, and became a big topic.
During his stay in Nagasaki in 1770, he elucidated the structure of electrostatic generator electrostatic generator electrostatic generator electrostatic generators obtained from Dutch verbs and has been experimenting frequently. In 1776, we succeeded in restoring and repairing at our home in Kiyosumi-cho, Fukagawa (currently Kiyosumi 1, Koto-ku, Tokyo). At present, a monument stands near the site of the experiment, "Gennai Hiraga Electric Experiment Land" monument.
