"Let's know more about Matsuya Ginza! New Guided Tour of the Hot Known"
It was full of new discoveries.
To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of Matsuya Ginza, we participated during GW because a tour around the store in Matsuya Ginza will be held.
Mr. Ken Tashiro, the principal of Tokyo Fashion College, who has a career spanning more than 40 years in the Matsuya Group, mainly Matsuya, is a dandy gentleman as you can see.
Tokyo Fashion College originated from the kimono sewing department of Matsuya Kimono Store, the predecessor of Matsuya Ginza, and since its establishment in 1913 (Taisho 2), it is a specializing in clothing of the Matsuya Group, which has a tradition of more than 110 years this year. First of all, it is a big surprise that it has a longer history than Matsuya Ginza, which celebrates its 100th anniversary!
Under the guidance of Principal Tashiro, the tour around the store in Matsuya Ginza was a special tour where you could explore secret specialty spots and the backside of stores that are usually not visible to customers with commentary.
Many of you know that Ryuko Fudoson is enshrined on the roof of Matsuya Ginza. It is said that there is a beautifully colored Unzo Myoo on the left side of the photo.
It is said that the fudoson made during the Kamakura period was recolored several years ago by a master craftsman related to Naritasan Shinsho-ji Temple.
Just below the fudoson, the ceiling in the center of the department store on the first floor is a Sanskrit showing Sakra.
The Sakra statue on the right is the National Treasure Sakra statue in the auditorium of To-ji Temple in Kyoto.
The guardian deity who serves Taishakuten and protects the east, west, north and south are the four heavenly kings, the White Guardian of the East (Jikokuten), which protects the west, and the Maschoten, which protects the south. It consists of Tamonten, which protects the north.
The Sanskrit in the photo below is displayed on the four corners of the first floor of Matsuya Ginza.
The guardian angel in the east and the White Guardian of the East were not confirmed because they were within the employee space.
The Sanskrit of Shitenno was listed since the 1960s, and the Sanskrit of Sakra was listed during renovation in 2001.
In addition, the numbers and alphabets used for the elevator of Matsuya are Matsuya's unique Matsuya fonts, created when the CI (Corporate Identity) was changed in 1978, and under the eaves of the employee building There was a nest, and we were informed that we were raising children every year.
We also stepped into the employee space. Going to the employee building in the corridor from the 5th floor of the Matsuya Ginza Main Building was an experience that I couldn't usually do.
In the employee building, the people who have been awarded the company were decorated with photos and the staff cafeteria was set up, giving me a very at-home impression.
Matsuya is a Tokyo local department store located only in Ginza and Asakusa. I felt that the company was united for the next 100 years, and I was filled with the desire to continue to support it.
It was a really fun tour. Thank you very much.
