◆The research report by Kanso Magome, Otemmacho, is interesting

[Akira Makibuchi / Sharakusai] May 7, 2009 11:51

As you know, Chuo Ward had 3 Temmacho during the Edo period. Oh Temmacho, Minami Temmacho, Kodemmacho.

(For details on the following description, please read the report below and check it yourself. Here, only the necessary outline is listed.)

090501magome_kageyu.jpgAfter standing up in Omawari (in the Edo Castle area), Takarada Village (Gofuku Bridge side) became Otemmacho and Minami Temmacho, and Chiyo Tamura (Tokiwa Bridge side) became Kodemmacho.

Eventually, Otemmacho and Kodemmacho moved to the same location as their current location (* Former Odenmacho 1-chome is now Nihonbashi Honmachi). Minami Temmacho was present on the current side of Kyobashi 1-2.

Otemmacho and Minami Temmacho were called both Temmacho, and played the role of Midenma along the way, but Kodemmacho served in Edo, and the roles of both were different.

Magome and Kageyu were the lords and lords of the great Temmacho along the way.

In March 2009, a survey report on Kanna Yu Magome, the lord of the great Temmacho, was published by the Edo Tokyo Museum. Based on the "Magome Family Documents" owned by the museum, the history and history of the museum explain the role of Midenma along the way, the leading role, and the achievements of financial involvement. In the book, a gu ticket picture material from the Kyobashi Library is also compiled.
In addition, Nishiki-e, legendary Nishiki-e, "Otake Dainichi Nyorai", a family of Zenhachi Sakuma, which is closely related to this area, is also posted. (The photo shows the site of Otake Dainichi Nyorai well)

090501otake_dainichi.jpegThe book is a thankful book for Chuo-ku to learn about the history of the town and to understand the position and person, as there were few materials related to Kankyo so far. I bought it at the museum shop in the museum. Distribution price 1100 yen.
