Saturday, August 8 Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival

[Yurikamome] August 11, 2009 09:00

On August 8th, the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival was held. (19:00 to 20:20)

Blue seats for the grandstands were laid neatly in the special seat of Harumi Wharf (north side of Harumi Wharf Park) two days ago, and work boats for fireworks launch were lined up the day before.

It was cloudy on the day, but it was a perfect condition with moderate wind. Around 18 o'clock, many houseboats gathered and beautifully colored the surface before the fireworks were launched.

Are you conscious of the Olympics seven years from now? ? ・・ ・ ・ ・ ・ ・ Fireworks of the Olympic mark also appeared, entrusting dreams to the future.

The origin of the fireworks display in Edo

At the time of the 8th Shogun Yoshimune, at the Mihama Goten (currently Hamarikyu), the gun of the Shogunate raises the smoke.

It is said that Kagiya Yahee saw the toy fireworks.

On the night of the Water God Festival, which prays for the eradication of illness and memorial service for the dead in 1717, fireworks were presented on the Sumida River as an entertainment.

It was later the origin of the fireworks.

When the Ryogoku River opened, it seems that fireworks were launched downstream from the bridge.
