On May 23 (Sun), we participated in the "Chuo-ku Forest Experience Tour".
The ward has been supporting forest conservation activities in the forest [Chuo-ku Forest] in Hibara-mura, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo since 2018.
Trees are planted in plots without trees.
In heavy rain, we break up into groups and climb.
Because of the strong rain legs, I was prepared to prevent rain from entering my neck.
1 Experience of tree planting.
The height of 2 meters in yamazakura in the third year
I dug 40cm in diameter and 30-40cm in depth.
We plant bamboo together to support young cherry blossoms.
2 In the charcoal grilling experience, charcoal was served.
The charcoal from the kiln is bright red, beautiful red.
Cover it with soil and cool it to make it usable charcoal.
The tools used to get out of the kiln are about 3m, and it is difficult to balance.
3 Thinning work experience
Because of the heavy rain, everyone is visiting from the charcoal hut.
Three junior high school students were very active.
Place a rope on the top of the cut tree, and put a saw and a saw at the base. If you fall down, pull the rope.
In the descent, the mountain road is too muddy and slips just by dropping your feet.
The people of the forest conservation organization went ahead several places, stretched ropes, and avoided slipping, helping everyone descend.
Both children and adults showed us how people were seriously working to preserve the forest.
The cherry blossoms will also have a strong root next year.
If possible, I would like to participate next year and see the cherry blossoms.
In addition, it seems that there is also a "Chuo-ku Forest Experience Tour" in the fall.
