Under the plan of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association, a "town walk tour" is being implemented.
Tourist correspondents are also taking turns to help guides.
On this day, I was accompanied by a tour to visit a famous Nihonbashi store.
First of all, I visited Mr. Yamamoto. It is a long-established store that has been in business for 320 years, and I felt the history and pride that was also depicted in Ukiyo-e in the Edo period.
Everyone who participated was also buying tea and seaweed as souvenirs.
Next, I visited PILOT [Pen Station].
There is also a museum that conveys the history of fountain pens. The English word "PILOT" has the meaning of "a pilot" before being a pilot, but I am deeply moved by the fact that the business was started with the spirit of opening up the future of the times.
Inside the museum, there is also a sample of a fountain pen that incorporates the techniques of ancient Japanese lacquerware, making it fun just by looking at it.
There is also a stylish cafe on the first floor. Please drop in during the walk.
It was a "town walk" with various new discoveries. Thank you very much for your help.
