Illumination II<Ginza Area>

[Sam] Nov. 18, 2010 09:15

Christmas illuminations, an annual feature of the New Year's season that colors the night sky of Ginza, have begun.

1-chome (Paula) ⇒ 2-chome (Marronnier Gate Belvia Hall, Mikimoto Boutique Cartier Tiffany) ⇒ 3-chome (Plantan) ⇒ 4-chome (Mikimoto / Wako) ⇒ 5-chome (Tasaki Shinju) ⇒ 6-chome (Matsuzakaya / Kojunsha Building) ⇒ 7-chome (Shining Nocue.

This year, the clock tower part of the Wako Main Building was newly lit up for the first time since its completion in 1932.The openwork of Arabesk (arabesque) under the dial emerges beautifully, and the clock tower and 36 windows from the second to seventh floors in front of the building are shining like a tree with LED illuminations.
It is said that every hour (16:00 to 24:00), light-up is performed according to the chime.
