At the bottom of this relief

"November 1882 Ginza-dori Renrenaikai Lighting Society Kanto Electric Power Association Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc., commemorating the commemorative sculpture of the Nishiki-e at the time when arc lights were turned on and the night castle was released.

And even the description is engraved.

In front of this relief, along Ginza Chuo-dori, a commemorative light is set up as the place where this "Ark Light" lit the first light to the night castle.

(It's a vertical black iron pillar in the center of the photo below!)

This commemorative light was also erected on October 15, 1986 by "Ginza Dori Federation Lighting Society Kanto Electric Association Tokyo Electric Power Company".
