[illy-ship Sanichiro] August 5, 2011 08:30 p.m.

This year, the 750th anniversary of the Shinran Saint, Kyoto Nishi Honganji Temple is very busy.

Nishi Honganji Temple and Chuo-ku have a big connection.

One is Tsukiji Honganji.

Its official name is Tsukiji Betsuin, Honganji School of Jodo Shinshu Honganji School, and it is a branch temple of Nishi Honganji Temple in Kyoto.

There are a lot of events this year.

Just until August 6 (Saturday), the Noryo Bon Dance Festival is also held.

The other is this karamon gate.

It is said that it was the origin of the mark of Kirin Brewery, headquartered in Shinkawa, Chuo-ku.

Why don't you go to Tsukiji Honganji this year, the 750th anniversary of the Shinran Saint?

Also, at Nishi Honganji Temple in Kyoto, there are days when special visits are held every month in autumn. You can see the National Treasure Hiunkaku and Shoin, which are usually closed to the public, so we recommend looking at this Kirin.
