The Hamada family, a long-established restaurant in Ningyocho

[Mumin] December 20, 2011 08:30

Sukiya style, a Michelin Guide, founded in 1912, came to lunch at the former site of Genyadana, where Yosaburo was staged.

Genji store is the name derived from the fact that Genya Okamoto (1587-1645) built a rented house on a land where he worshiped as a reward for healing the illness of Shogun Iemitsu and lent it to the common people. .

When I stepped into this restaurant, I was able to immerse myself in the quiet world of a different world from the hustle and bustle of Ningyocho.

F1000364.JPGIn the waiting room on the first floor, there is a tea room and you can enjoy a well-maintained garden. It seems that only the stone lanterns in the garden fell down in this year's Great East Japan Earthquake.

We were guided to a tatami room with twenty tatami mats on the second floor. There was a little garden, and the tokonoma was filled with flowers and works of the snow landscape of Sumio Goto in Japanese painting.

Geisha can dance Japanese dance in the place of about 4 to 6 tatami mats in the parlor.

The geisha in the neighborhood of Ningyocho is called Yoshicho Geisha, and Madame Sadayakko of the Japanese woman Yuichi is also here. Currently, there are about 15 registered geishas, and about 10 are actually active.

The food was brought in by time. The menu includes appetizers, bowls, sashimi, chopstick rest, pottery, steamed dishes, meals, water confections, and sweet dishes that look gorgeous and taste as expected. The bowl is wonderful and the stomach is full. I was able to spend an elegant and pleasant time.

F1000358.JPGAt first, I was hesitant because the threshold of a high-class long-established restaurant was high, but I got a happy meal ticket from Chuo-ku and went out because the meal ticket could be used by the Hamada family.

Mr. Nakai was very kind and kindly entertained. I am surprised that the landlady also came to greet me.

It's a recommended restaurant that you want to go once. I would like to go again if I have any chance.
