Ginza New Chocolatry OPEN Part 3

[Satsuki Yanagi] March 4, 2012 08:30

This is the last episode of [Ginza New Chocolatry OPEN], which we have been introducing since the other day.

"BLONDEL Brondel" in Ginza 8-chome

In 1850, Switzerland is a 160-year-old long-established chocolate tree founded by Adrian Brondel in Lausanne.

Since then, the current chocolatier has been following the unchanging manufacturing method.

There is a variety of chocolates that use plenty of Alps milk and cream.

Praline/Plaline (1 piece/$380) with many different types

The former truffle style Truffes al'ancienne/Trufuancienne (1 piece/$399) is made by short cut and thinly coated.

A plate-shaped chocolate chocolate marto / Chocolat au Marteau (100g / 280) lined with a wide variety of types, such as a mixture of various couvertures and a combination of nuts and dried fruits.

In addition, there are configuries that are coated with chocolate on orange slices boiled with sugar.

The gift package is also a Swiss national flag pattern and cute!

It seems that the three chocolate treatments that were OPEN this year are both air-lifted from their home country, so it costs a lot of money, so it seems to be a little expensive ...

However, it is very happy to be able to taste the chocolate loved in the world in this Ginza!

Chuo-ku Railway Monogatari <Part 6> "Access to Overseas"

[Shitamachi Tom] March 3, 2012 08:30

This is the sixth episode of a railway related to Chuo-ku.

This time, I would like to take a look at some of them.airplane

B787 flight. jpgAs an overseas access base in Chuo-ku, Hakozaki's [Tokyo City Air Terminal] (nicknamed T-CAT) comes to mind, but in this series, "Railway" is the leading role, so I will look at it from that point of view.

The aviation administration of Japan opened [New Tokyo International Airport] (Narita Airport) as a base for overseas air routes in 1978 (Showa 53) with the aim of separating Japan and overseas. A lot of people move between central Tokyo and Narita, each of those who go abroad and enter Japan.

Sobu Line Rapid Service in Bakurocho. jpg
Among the railways running in the city, Narita Express and Airport Rapid run on the JR Sobu Express Line (underground), and Narita Access Limited Express runs on the Toei Asakusa Line. Both are convenient access routes that allow you to reach overseas counters without transfer from the city center.train

By the way, did you know that there was a plan called "Narita Shinkansen" in the past?

Train to Narita Airport _R.JPGConstruction was started in 1974 (Showa 49) with the aim of opening the port before Narita opened, but it was abandoned due to opposition from residents along the railway line, and after the construction was frozen, the Japanese National Railways was privatized, and finally abandoned on the way. It is a "maboroshi high-speed railway".bullettrain

Using the station site and track site acquired at that time, the [Keiyo Line] was opened on the central Tokyo side, and on the Chiba side, it was diverted to [Narita Access Route]. Sakuragawa Park_R.JPGIt means that the current Keiyo Line and Tokyo Station were originally prepared for Shinkansen.

If the Shinkansen was built as it was, it would have been running almost the same route as the current Keiyo Line around Hatchobori from the basement of Kajibashi Street. If you imagine a Shinkansen train running at high speed near the basement of [Sakuragawa Park] beside Hatchobori Station, it feels a little strange.sign02

Higashi-Ginza Station platform _R.JPG

Time passes, Haneda Airport has re-internationalized, and the above-mentioned Toei Asakusa Line is also useful as an access to this sky. The value is increasing as a direct connection route between Narita and Haneda. In order to further speed up, there is also a plan to short-circuit around Asakusa and Sengakuji on separate tracks.

The longing for the sky is growing more and more. From Chuo-ku to Chuo-ku, passing through Chuo-ku, new dreams abroad spread. I wanted to go somewhere again.heart04

Ginza Lohmeyer's worthy lunch

[Mapo ★] March 2, 2012 08:30

Ginza Lohmeyer is located on the second floor of the Taiyo Building in Ginza 8-chome.

It's a German food and beer restaurant, but lunch is very good!

I ordered Japanese beef fillet and sausage.

There are also drink bars and soups, so 1200 yen in Ginza is amazing!

There were also a lot of 1000 yen menus such as hamburgers and sausages.

Drink bars are also orange juice, grapefruit juice.

Coffee and tea also had iced and hot, and the soup was pumpkin soup.

Another good thing was that lunch wine is cheap (* ^^*)

Bordeaux wine is 400 yen per cup!

Even if you drink 3 cups, 1200 yen is too happy (laughs).

The amount may be a little small for men, but I think it's a secret lunch.★

Lohmeyer also has a take-out shop in Ginza Matsuzakaya, too.

You can also buy ham, sausages and salads.

Gallery Seikodou in Ginza 1-chome

[Mumin] March 2, 2012 08:30

Gallery Seikodou is located on the 5th floor of the Kiyomitsu-do Building, along Melsa on Ginza Street.

Kiyomitsu-do used to run precious metals near Yurakucho on Harumi-dori St., but moved to its current location in 1952. It's been less than 10 years since I started the gallery.

This gallery reflects the gentle personality of female owners, and it is possible for artists to present their works very comfortably.

From February 13 to February 23, a commemorative exhibition for the Tokyo exhibition of an art group was held at this gallery, so some of the works were posted. The Tokyo exhibition has genres such as paintings, picture books, illustrations, modeling, and photography.

Ryunosuke Akutagawa 3.1 120th Birthday

[Yotaro] March 1, 2012 08:30

IMG_0539.JPG Ryunosuke Akutagawa was born on March 1, 1892 (1892) at 8-1, Irifune-cho, Kyobashi-ku (currently around 10,111, Akashi-cho, Chuo-ku, St. Luke's College of Nursing). According to his own chronology, he was named Ryunosuke because he was born in Tatsutsutsutsutsutsutsutsushin. This year, the Year of the Dragon, the Chinese zodiac sign will be just two years old and 120 years old.

IMG_0183.JPG His father, Toshizo Niihara, ran a milk business "Komakisha" and had a ranch in Irifune-cho. This was a foreign settlement in Tsukiji at that time, and there were only three Japanese people. He was born in unlucky year, a 43-year-old father and a 33-year-old mother, and took the form of dumping from superstitions. You. The Akutagawa family is located at 15 Koizumimachi, Honjo-ku (currently 3-chome, Ryogoku, Sumida-ku), and the family of the Sukiya monk of Edo Castle for generations, and the adopted mother appears in Edo's large streetman Koi Saiki ("Solitude Hell"). The niece of the niece, the elegance and hobbies of the genuine Edo people flow strongly in the family, and it is doubtful that this had a great influence on his later art.

He loves the home where he spent his childhood, Ryogoku, and especially in Okawa (Sumida River), singing an enthusiastic hymn ("Okawa no Mizu"), but wrote about his birthplace, Tsukiji. Is there?

IMG_0542.JPG I moved to the headquarters immediately after birth, and I don't have any direct memories, but "I am a person who lived in the headquarters until I was about twenty years old." ("Honjo Ryogoku") and Irifune-cho have been broken. Regarding copperplate engraving barely depicting the Tsukiji settlement, there was a nostalgic expression that showed the beautiful harmony of Japanese and Western eclectic. ("Good People of Opening")

"Sometimes I imagine that twenty or fifty years later, or even a hundred years later, there will be times when I do not know my existence. ----but I imagine. There is one reader who should get my collection of works after the 100s. In the meantime, in front of the reader's heart, there is my mirage that emerges as obsolete. " ("The posterity")

120 years after birth, 85 years after his death. Betraying his imagination, the number of readers who love him continues to grow, and his reputation for him is as high as solid as the Sky Tree, not a mirage. This year, the 120th anniversary of the birth, there seems to be no particular event in Chuo-ku, but as one of my favorite readers, I visited the birthplace on a day when the cold weather was somewhat loose.

IMG_0543.JPG One snake leg. The birthplace is the site of Takumi Asanouchi's mansion, the site of Kira Uenosuke's mansion south of the place of growth, and the connection to Chushingura. Did he recall such a coincidence while writing "One day's Oishiuchi Kuranosuke"?

One more snake leg. This year is the Year of the Dragon, and the old calendar style is March = Tatsuzuki, and Tatsuzuki Tatsutsu is March 8 and 20. Will Ryunosuke of Heisei be born in Tatsuki (around 8:00 am)?
