The red brick station building that woke up

[Koedo Itabashi] September 5, 2012 10:00

There is a word "drawing finish".

Finally, when I add my eyes to the dragon I drew, I immediately jump out of the picture and run up to heaven.

The last important finish.

The red brick station building at Tokyo Station.

The shape of the building, which looks like a large wings spread from north to south.

A clock that had been removed during preservation and restoration work was fitted into a dome that supports the north and south.

When a clock is added to the space that looked somehow unsatisfactory, the building feels like the eyes opened.

It is said that a watch was installed on August 22.

About 1.4 meters in diameter.

The dial with Roman numerals, the same as when it opened in 1914.

I finally woke up.

The grand opening will take place on October 1st.

The Tokyo Station Gallery, which was closed, will also open on the 1st.

I like the bare brick wall gallery space, and I'm really looking forward to seeing exhibitions, coupled with the good feet inside the station building.

It was already published as a guidebook for sightseeing in Tokyo and a tour course.

The ceiling inside the dome is covered with a board and cannot be seen yet.

What decorations and reliefs are hidden inside it?

I imagine a massive and gorgeous space suitable for the starting point of Japanese railways.

Before a while, the details are being removed one after another, and the whole picture is appearing.

The person who wants to see the progress of the construction is now.
