Sugiyama was born in Asakusa, Tokyo in 1909 (Meiji 42). While studying at the Japanese painting Department of Tokyo Bijutsu School, he won a special prize at the 13th Imperial Exhibition and flourished his talent from an early age. After that, he announced a lively series of works with motifs such as pyramids and gained popularity.
All of the works born from the excellent modeling that captures the object well, have a strong vitality.
We sought eternal beauty, eternal beauty. And the screen in which Sugiyama's dedicated sketch and the composition that has been thought of as a dedicated sketch of Mr. Sugiyama who has been in charge of it, has attracted many people.
This time, 85 items were exhibited from the beginning to later years.
