Scenery of Toyomi Bridge

[TAKK...] March 18, 2013 20:12

Toyomi Bridge is the area where the Nihonbashi River and the Sumida River merge, connecting Shinkawa, Chuo-ku and Hakozaki-cho.
It's a rather short bridge, but the design that looks like a ladder is impressive.

In spring, this area is also colored with cherry blossoms.
On this day, I was able to see the flowers that bloomed earlier than the cherry blossoms nearby.

toyomi1.jpgIn the daytime, the white steel frame shines in the blue sky is beautiful.
However, the Toyomi Bridge at night is lit up and turns into a very fantastic appearance.

toyomihasi.jpgNearby is the Eitai Bridge.

eitai.jpgBoth today's Toyomi Bridge and Eitai Bridge were erected as reconstruction bridges after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
I felt that the powerful modeling and beautiful brilliance of the bridge contained the thoughts of people for reconstruction at that time.
