Traditional Merchant Building Hamano Family Residence

[TAKK...] June 30, 2013 14:00

In the vicinity of Tsukiji, there are many quaint houses that retain the pre-war remnants.

Hamano Family Residence 1.jpg

One of them is the Hamano Family Residence, which is designated as Tangible Cultural Property residents of Chuo-ku.

It is said that it was built in 1930 (1930) as a combined house of the Hamano family, which brokered marine products.

There is a family crest on the rain gutter. It's an elaborate design.

There is also a "correct" character on the roof tiles.

The detailed design is elaborate, but it has a harmonious and elegant appearance.

The interior is closed to the public, but I think you can think of the life of merchants in the early Showa era from the exterior.

Toothbrush specialty store

[Mido] June 29, 2013 14:00

There are various specialty stores in the world, which can be surprising, but what a "toothbrush"

There was a specialty store in Ginza. The place is near the intersection of Showa-dori and Ginza Yanagi-dori St.

If I happened to take a walk, the letter "Toothbrush specialty store-" Mega Dent "" is

I've jumped into my eyes. (This kind of maniac store is easy to become a blog story)

By the way, when you enter the store, you can brush your teeth with colorful and various toothbrushes, toothpaste, etc.

We have all the goods related to it. When I asked the clerk, the head office is located in Germany.

It is said that there are 9 stores mainly in the EU. The Ginza store opened in February 2009.

It was said that it was also sold on the Internet.

Use tools that suit you, take care of your mouth effectively and happily.

It seems that living healthy is the basis of lifestyle in Western Europe.

Some of the products were a little expensive, but I thought I would like to buy one to commemorate the interview.

When I was looking for it, I asked a few questions and selected a toothbrush that suits me.

Considering that you had counseling, it might have been a reasonable price.

I don't know. I think this is a service unique to specialty stores.

When you drop in nearby, it may be fun just to look at it.

Good-bye "Fujimaru" From Harumi to the last cruise

[Yotaro] June 28, 2013 17:00

IMG_0750.JPG At the Harumi Passenger Terminal, the familiar passenger ship "Fujimaru" will retire at the end of June. Fujimaru is Japan's first full-fledged luxury cruise ship owned by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and operated by the Japan Charter Cruise. In 1989, the first year of the cruise was also called the first year of the cruise. In 25 years, the voyage over 70 laps of the earth was used by 500,000 people. It's lonely that the pure white hull, orange fannel marks, chic and beautiful appearances will not be seen.

"Fujimaru" In 1987, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines ordered an order from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Kobe Shipyard, and the launch ceremony was held on September 10, the following year. The name of the ship was publicly recruited, and was named by Minister of Transport Shintaro Ishihara at the time, and Mrs. Ishihara cut a champagne with a golden axe and broke a champagne, creating "FujiIMG_0762.JPGmaru". In 1989, after a trial run, it began to be active as Japan's first large cruise liner in April. The total tonnage is 23,235 tons, a total length of 167 m, a width of 24 m, a navigation speed of 18 knots, and a passenger capacity of 600. The eight-layer deck has a hall, theater, pool, large public bath, etc. The class is international ocean and the port of registration is Tokyo. Recently, he was mainly active on charter cruises.

"Fujimaru" On the evening of June 30, after the "Thank you! Fujimaru" ceremony at the Harumi Passenger Ship Terminal, depart for the last cruise to Hatsushima, return home on July 1, enter the dock, and probably sell to foreign countries It is said that. Even if the name changes, I want you to call at Harumi again one day and show a beautiful appearance.

100 views of the wonder of Chuo-ku (rain) 2

[Satoken] June 28, 2013 14:00

It is the scenery I found during walking as usual.

I didn't care about it because it was a well-walking route, but I was worried because I was walking in search of a mysterious landscape.

The location is 1-4-4 Shintomicho. The Shintomi Bridge is over and the Metropolitan Expressway is running just below.

There is Onoya, famous for tabi, right next to it, so many people know it. There is something like five-storied pagoda surrounded by fences in that place.

I have no choice but to imagine it because there is no manual. It was up to you to think about the remnants of the Daimyo residence.

The main venue of Harumi, Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival

[Mr.Chuo-ku] June 28, 2013 09:00

As you may know, the main venue for the Tokyo Bay Fireworks Festival is located in Harumi, Chuo-ku.

↓The large site of the concrete part near the center of the map (Google map) will be the main venue (admission ticket required (see ↓ URL)).

By the way, if the Olympic and Paralympic Games are to be held in Japan in 2020, this place seems to be a candidate site for an athlete village.

(The signboard of the image of the athlete village built on this site ↓)

Hamarikyu Onshi Park in June

[kimitaku] June 27, 2013 14:00

"Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" is a garden filled with seawater. The Shiba Rikyu Onshi Garden in the neighboring Hamamatsucho is a groundwater garden.

It was made more than 400 years ago at the time of Tokugawa's sixth shogun Ienobu Tokugawa.

P1000175-1.jpg P1000176-1.jpg

We took a walk in the garden. Japanese iris is beautiful. And hydrangea is wonderful.

He walks leisurely in the garden, but it seems that there are 250,000 m2, but it is large and spacious.

Beyond the pond, you can see "Conrad Tokyo".

P1000182-1.jpg

Crossing the edge of the pond, going to the dock, the dock here, and the place where the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu Tokugawa fled and landed from Kyoto by boat. A ship from the Sumida River came in.

P1000186-1.jpg

The buildings in the back are Toyomi and Kachidoki buildings.

Cross the pond. There is Tokyo Tower's condominium far over there.

P1000179-1.jpg

To the left front of the entrance, a large pine is called the "300-year pine".

Just a nearby pine is in the middle of pruning. This big pine is also pruned and beautiful.

Please come to "Hamarikyu Garden" by all means.
