Shotaro Ikenami, who sent many masterpieces of historical novels to the world, was born in Asakusa in 1923 (1923), and from August 28, the "90th Birthday Shotaro Ikenami Exhibition" is being held in Matsuya Ginza. .
At the venue, raw manuscripts of historical novels, creative notes and diaries are displayed, the study is reproduced, and videos of "Onihei Criminal Book", "Swordsman Business", and "Mechant Umeyasu Fujieda" are played. .
One of the most impressive things was that Shotaro Ikenami liked to paint, and there were many handwritten sketches of watercolor paintings on display.
In particular, the landscape paintings when I traveled to Western Europe were very beautiful and wonderful. It was nice to see a different side of the writer who was famous for eating.
Matsuya Ginza's "Shotaro Ikenami Exhibition" will be held until September 9th (Monday).
