Recently, I feel the impact of the consumption tax hike in the Tsukiji Outer Market is the "half price market"!
At Tsukiji Outer Market, which is also recognized by food professionals, about 300 stores are always looking forward to this event, where each of them turns "one dish" carefully selected from their specialty products into "half price" Isn't it?
The start of "half price market" is 10:00 am, but it is expected that it will be quite crowded on the day, so go early and first get a product that will be "half price" and a flyer with the location of the shop Get.
Let's check what you want.
There are some items with a limited number, so go to the shop you want at the same time as starting.
If the road is crowded and you can't pass, it may be faster to make a large turn from the other side of Harumi-dori St.
If you want to finish shopping and take a break, if the weather is nice, you can go to Tsukiji River Park behind Honganji.
Higashiginza and Ginza are also a short walk, so it may be a good idea to walk back there slowly.
And the next 7th is the annual "Nichikaichi" every month.
For a total of 2,000 yen for shopping receipts on the day, a lottery called "Ketsukoru" will be deducted once.
This month, a special set that allows 100 people with a special prize to compare the eating of 9 famous egg-yaki restaurants in the market.
And there are 400 tickets worth 500 yen that can be used in the out-of-market market.
It is an unusual opportunity to experience the slightly different tastes of egg-yaki and the differences in textures at each store.
Why don't you come here too?

The second part of the Spring Chuo-ku History Walk 2014 "Walking Edo Maejima" was held on April 20 (Sun). This historical walk was planned to follow the topography of the early Edo period called "Edo Maejima", which is the prototype of Chuo-ku, and to go around the historic sites of the surrounding area, and was carried out twice in Part 1 and Part 2 . Participants are those who applied in the ward bulletin "News of the Ward", and the plan is organized by the Chuo-ku Town Walking Volunteer Guide "Chuo-ku Cultural Properties Supporters Association". Click here.>>
The second part of the second part is a course that follows the eastern edge of Edo Maejima at the site of Kaedegawa from the ruins of the Tsukiji River to Hatchobori and Kabuto-cho. About 50 participants gathered in front of Chuo-ku government office and departed in groups. The so-called Mitsuhashi, which spanned Sanjumabori, Kyobashi River, and Kaede River, was also depicted in the Edo Famous Zoukai. At present, there is a trace of the Metropolitan Expressway Route 1. The explanation board in front of Keika Square "Hatchobori Yoriki Doshin-gumi Yashiki Ruins" indicates that this area was the site of the Kumiyashiki (photo). During the Edo period, Tenso Shrine appeared at the site of Isobe grand shrine in Betsugu in Ise outer shrine.
Crossing Yaesu-dori, the area around "Edo Momiji-dori" was former Motozaimokucho, which was Kiba in the early Edo period. The area around Shinbabashi is the remnants of the two major fish markets in Edo along with Nihonbashi, where the Shinkashibaba is located. Hie-jinja Shrine auxiliary shrine Kayabacho Yakushi is known for its gardening shop in resting place of portable shrines, guardian angel in Edo. Kabuto Shrine was located at the site of the Makino family in the Edo period, and in the Meiji period, Eiichi Shibusawa's residence was located. This area was on the eastern edge of Edo Maejima, where Kaedegawa was in contact with the Nihonbashi River and was the most congestion of boating. At present, traffic congestion on the Metropolitan Expressway viaduct has changed. This historical walk has ended in Nihonbashi. @ Akira Makibuchi

On a spring day, we decided to explore the historic sites and enjoy the flowers while strolling around the changing waterfront and the area around Ishikawajima and Tsukudajima.
①The birthplace of Edo Minato
Departure at Shinkawa and Sumida River Terrace. A monument indicating the birthplace of Edo Minato has been set up. In the past, this area was once a departure and arrival point for passenger ship routes, and routes connecting Uraga, Misaki, Shimoda, Izu Islands, etc. were operated to Kisarazu in the direction of Boso, Tateyama, Sagami and Izu, and it was said that it was crowded .
②Reishi Island Current Strategies and Water Marks This place was established in 1873 (1873), where the average tide level, which was the standard of altitude, was measured. It conveys the historical significance of contributing to modern surveying in Japan to future generations.
③Kobashi Tsukuda and wisteria trellis Crossing Chuo-ohashi Bridge, passing through Ishikawajima Park and Tsukuda Park, and coming near Tsukuda Kobashi, wisteria flowers were blooming.
I enjoyed weeping cherry tree too.
④Takasago I've been walking quite a bit. I'm hungry, so I'm going to buy a lunch box with the meat Takashigo. Speaking of Takasago, grilled pork and roast beef are famous, but side dishes such as croquettes and lunch boxes are also sold. Everything looks delicious and turns out, but I made omelet and a lunch box called "Meat no Yama".
It is a famous restaurant that has won numerous awards.
⑤Ishikawajima Park I decided to eat the lunch box I bought by Takasago in the park.
The view from the park is also peaceful and makes you feel very relaxed.
Well, it's the most important lunch, but first of all, omelet rice.
Below the egg, ketchup rice with corned grilled pork.
It's pretty powerful.
And this lunch box.
Croquette, shredded pork, ginger grilled pork and fried egg.
The fine pieces of roasted pork give the careful consideration to finish with curry flavor.
Also, it's hard to remember that fried eggs are served.
Roast beef and grilled pork are on the Internet, but for now, you can't buy lunch unless you go to the shop.
It was a course where you can enjoy seasonal flowers, historic sites, and great gourmet food.

Hamarikyu Garden is one of the most famous parks in Tokyo, but at this time, the "Hamarikyu Flower and Green Gathering" (until May 6) will be held, and residents of Chuo-ku will bring an admission numbered ticket It is a very good opportunity because you can enter for free.
Just from April 19th (Sat) to 20th (Sun), an event called "Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Garden" was held. It was sponsored by the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation, and also supported by the Chuo-ku Tourism Association. It is a plan to enjoy a beautiful holiday by touching food, play, and crafts while touching the emotions of the Edo period.
At the event venue, attractions were held, exhibition booths of famous stores were lined up, and many customers visited. A booth of the Chuo-ku Tourism Association was also set up, and a happy voice was heard at the corner where you could experience "Throwing Fan".
In the park, Satozakura is about to be watched, but the wisteria has begun to bloom, and the greenery of the trees has become even darker, and the scent of early summer seems to be filling at a stretch. Just this time, it is the transition from late spring to early summer, and while being wrapped in warm sunshine, sometimes chilly sea breezes flow from the sea, giving you a sense unique to this season.
A little more you will be able to enjoy hydrangea and Japanese iris too. It is a great place to enjoy the refreshing colors of this season.
The recommended walking course is to extend your legs to Ginza and Tsukiji on the way back and forth of Hamarikyu. One of the charms of Chuo-ku is that you can enjoy shopping and eating while wearing an urban atmosphere close to you after getting acquainted with the natural flowers.
It's been a good season! Please come and go out.

On both April 19 and 20, the "Edo Bunka Village in Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" hosted by the Chuo-ku Shopping Street Federation was held at Hamarikyu Gardens.
It is an event to be held for the first time, but at the "Edo Nigiwai Store Corner" at Uchibori Square at the venue, "Eating and drinking booth" with "Let's taste the food culture of Edo" and "Products related to Edo" A "product sales booth" has been set up, and many famous stores in the city have opened.
On the special stage, "Let's touch the traditional Edo performing arts", on the 19th, 10:30-"Chuo-ku Taiko Federation & Chuo-ku Tsukuda Junior High School Taiko Club wadaiko Performance", 13:00-"Edo Dai-Kagura (a popular performing art centered on lion dance and acrobatics), which is said to have a history of 400 years."

The tourist association also opened a booth.
There was a free trial corner for "Tosenoki" (4) "Kendama" (5) "spinning top".
In front of the booth, I met two people, the 32nd Chuo-ku Tourism Ambassador, Miss Chuo's Yui Aono and Midori Nashimoto. (⑥)

Due to the good weather, it was crowded with many people.
From 11:00 to 14:00 to 14:00, garden guides are also provided by garden guide volunteers.
Visitors seemed to enjoy strolling through the beautiful spring garden.

"Edo Bunkamura in Hamarikyu Onshi Garden" was held for the first time and went on April 19, the first day.
At first, there was congratulatory address from Mayor Yada and other guests. Miss Chuo-ku Tourism Ambassador also adds flowers.
The concept this time is
1.Taste food culture
2.Knowing Edo products
3.It is about to experience Edo performing arts.
After the opening remarks, wadaiko's performance was powerful and energetic.
In the sense of knowing Edo products, I purchased Tabi from Onoya Sohonten.
This small tabi has a very popular reputation for "storeing feet (money)".
At Ginza Hiranoen, we purchased delicious Japanese tea and enjoyed it the next day.
There is a famous store in Chuo-ku in the "Edo Nikiwai Store Corner".
Well, what would you like to have a fun lunch?
I purchased a sukiyaki lunch box and a Sukeroku lunch box from Ningyocho Imahan.
Sukiyaki was very delicious because large Japanese beef was seasoned elegantly.
Sukeroku puts sukiyakiniku on Inari-san, and roast beef-style nigiri sushi was also delicious.
I look forward to this event going on every year.
