Photo Exhibition and Lecture [Nara Mahoroba-kan]

[The Minnie Cricket] 14:00 on May 28, 2014

Nara Mahoroba-kan, an antenna shop in Nara Prefecture, is located across Chuo-dori, opposite the Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi New Building. In Chuo-ku, there are many antenna shops in each prefecture, but in terms of the number of events and lectures held, isn't this Nara Mahorobakan the top class?

Currently, on the second floor, a photo exhibition "Yamato folklore I caught" is being held. This is a competition exhibition by 10 photographers. The lifestyle of the people of Yamato is cut out through festivals, events and prayers, and it is a photo exhibition that makes you feel nostalgic for some reason. The period is until June 1.

In addition, in cooperation with this photo exhibition, a lecture entitled "Yamato Festival and Prayer" was held on May 24, and I went to listen. The lecture is Hiroko Yokoyama, Chief Curator of the Nara Prefectural Folk Museum. Mr. Yokoyama's one-and-a-half hour lecture was very interesting, and I was able to spend a fulfilling time talking about the lives of the people living in Yamato and the annual event firmly rooted in the rhythm of living.
