"Gathering of International Exchange 2014" hosted by the Chuo-ku Cultural and International Exchange Promotion Association was held on November 15 at Tsukiji Social Education Center.
I've been participating for four consecutive years, so I couldn't wait for this day again.
I finished the reception on the first floor and went around from the fourth floor.
On the 4th floor, they served warm kenchin soup. I asked the sister in charge about the origin of the naming of "Kenchin soup".
It was said that it was cooked as buddhist cuisine at Kenchoji Temple in Kamakura. I wondered if it was named Kenchin Juice because the juice was hot (quente) from Portugal or Spain.
The warm feelings of the volunteers were added, and it was very delicious. Dutch cuisine, bittervalen, a croquette like a croquette, was also served with specialty cheese.
Here, you can enjoy delicious tea every year. On this day, we also had an elegant Sri Lankan milk tea.
In another room on the same 4th floor, a booth at the “Disaster Prevention Corner” is exhibited every year to raise awareness of disaster prevention.
I also experienced emergency food during the disaster. This year we had potage soup, but the texture of the potato remained and it was delicious.
There were also maps and manuals of the disaster evacuation site in Chuo-ku. You have to remember evacuation site in case of emergency.
On the third floor, there were dressing, ikebana experience, tea ceremony and tea ceremony experience, origami, furoshiki experience, and ink painting experience.
On the second floor, we enjoyed the introduction corner of Dutch culture, playing in Japan and playing abroad.
If you think about it, the relationship between the Netherlands, Japan, and Chuo-ku began with the Leafde. The names of the crew members Jan Jooss Ten and William Adams remain under the name of Yaesu and are recorded as Anjincho.
