At the Chuo Ward Folk Tenmonkan (Time Dome Akashi), the third mini-panel exhibition "What is at the border of the ward" by supporters of the building began on December 20, last year. Photo panels and maps show what is going on at the border adjacent to Chuo-ku. The exhibition will be on display in front of the Kumin Gallery until February 1. Free viewing. Chuo-ku borders Chiyoda-ku, Minato-ku, Taito-ku and Sumida-ku and Koto-ku on the opposite side of the Sumida River. What's going on at the border? In the south, 11 locations from Harumi Ohashi to Saemon Bridge to the north and the west corner of Hamarikyu Garden are introduced with photos and commentary.
Most of the bridges are bordered by the center of the bridge is the ward border, but the Aioi Bridge is different, and the Nakajima site near Echinakajima is the ward border. Saemon Bridge over the Kanda River at the northern end is complicated and forms the border between Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku, and Taito-ku. Bridge management is carried out in Chiyoda-ku.
The boundary line of Bakurocho with Chiyoda-ku is the only land boundary, so it is intricate. It is due to the fact that the ruins of the county mansion were leveled by land readjustment. The ruins of the Ryukagawa River are bordered by Kanda, Chiyoda-ku. Joban Bridge, a pedestrian bridge currently under restoration work, is also the border, but the bridge is managed by Chiyoda-ku.
Near the Yaesu Exit of Tokyo Station is bordered by the ruins of outer moat. I can hardly notice, but there is also a boundary line in the underground shopping mall. The expressway company line on the west side of Ginza is the site of outer moat, which is the border with Chiyoda-ku, but the boundary has not yet been determined.
The ruins of Tsuchihashi are also bordered by the ruins of outer moat and Shiodome River, and are bordered by Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku and Minato-ku. The Hamarikyu Garden is Chuo-ku. If you look at the old map, you can see that the boundaries are based on rivers and moats, except for some parts. Currently, most of them have been reclaimed and connected to land, so this is the boundaries? There are many places where I am lost.
The mini-panel exhibition, which has been exhibited three times so far, is scheduled to be held from February 7 to March 29. @ Akira Makibuchi
