Who is Oribe? 400 years after his death Oribe Furuta Exhibition-Matsuya Ginza

1. January 3, 2015 15:00

100_1534.JPGHappy New Year. Ginza Matsuya has many New Year's projects for the past few years with the theme of "Japanese beauty" and "Japanese aesthetics", but this year is the "Oribe Furuta Exhibition", which will be 400 years after his death. There are many people who know it because it retains its name in "Oribe ware", which is known for its distorted shape and innovative design of green and earthy scraping. Oribe Furuta (1544-1615) is a "warlord tea master" who served Nobunaga, Hideyoshi, and Ieyasu, and is a creator who brought novel beauty into the world of tea in a strange way that contrasts with Wabicha after Rikyu's death. This time, the gorgeous "Kabuita" Keicho era, in which Oribe played an active part in three parts: "Oribe's Age", "Oribe's Chanoyu", and "Oribe's Tea Ceremony", Oribe developed tea utensils related to the novel design left, Oribe Exhibition Pamphlets from all over the world's masterpieces of tea bowls, water fingers, and kaiseki tools developed in one hall.

100_1535.JPGLooking at the novel modeling that I don't think it was produced very 400 years ago, Ieyasu felt the "dangerous smell" that loosened the system in it and found that "suspection of rebellion" was hung up I felt like it was. How do you enjoy the world of "Hyogemono", which can be said to be very modern at the beginning of the year?
