Bridge over the Sumida River

[Blowing of Koi in Satsuki] 14:00 on April 18, 2015

Tsukiji Ohashi, Kachidokibashi, Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge, Chuo-ohashi Bridge,
Eitai Bridge, Sumida River Ohashi, Kiyosu Bridge, Shinohashi Bridge, Ryogoku Bridge

As you can see in guidebooks, I think the bridge over the Sumida River is beautiful.
Each has its own characteristics, and the beautiful old bridge feels alike.

Among them, my favorite is Kiyosu Bridge.
I feel elegant and elegant.
It is also good to contrast with the strength of Eitai Bridge between Sumida River Ohashi.
I think it is the most beautiful bridge over the Sumida River.

It is said that the Eitai Bridge was bridged in the Genroku era.
There is a monument in that place (a little upstream from the present).

I guess he was going to and from the other side by this road.
This means that in the Genroku era Akaho attack, he returned to Eitai Bridge at that time.
You may have crossed this road (now Hakozaki-cho) to Sengakuji Temple.

The Sumida River is a very dirty river when I was a child (more than 50 years ago).
I remember very well that it smelled.
It was especially bad depending on the direction of the summer wind.
When relatives came to the house, they said, "It smells a lot."
My father seems to have been swimming from the quay of the Tsukiji fish shore to Odaiba.
Even if not so, the Sumida River has become clean since decades ago
At noon, many people spread their lunch on the Sumida River Terrace, and walk through these bridges.
It's fun to watch.

Next time, I would like to touch Kachidokibashi and Tsukuda-ohashi Bridge.
