Daikabuki begins in May of Dangiku Festival

1. May 13, 2015 14:00

It seems that there are many people who work in earnest from today after the GW is over, and the city seems to have returned to the usual situation.

On a sunny evening in May, I went to Kabukiza Theater.

The Dangiku Festival has begun. The evening section is from "Keiyasu Taiheiki" to "Chuya Marubashi", Kabuki 18th "Snayanagi", and "Kami Akie Wago Initiative" (megumi's fight).

As you all know, the Dangiku Festival is held in honor of the achievements of the fifth generation Kikugoro and the ninth generation Danjuro, and has been held every May since it revived in 1977. An elderly woman who was photographed in front of the two statues in the first floor lobby of Kabukiza Theater, said, "I'd better be in front of Kikugoro," and it's pretty cute to see each other.

I was checking while listening to the name line of Mr. Matsu Midori of Chuya Marubashi, "Sango here, Kashiko Gogo ...", but the numbers do not match! The appearance of being surrounded by the way of catching using the doorboard is also amazing. Ryuishi Matsu Midori, young. "Janeyanagi" is said to have been premiered by Danjuro, the fourth generation of Kabuki 18th, but it is a performance that is rarely performed in Kabuki 18th. This is the first performance in Kabukiza since Ebizo revived in a voluntary performance two years ago. The last "Megumi's fight" is familiar, but it is a spectacular word that each of the 40 Tobi and sumo wrestlers rampage narrowly. The large rise of jumping on the roof without a ladder or turning the dragonfly from the roof is harassed. This is the fun of Kabuki. There is no doubt that it will be shy.

In the intermission, I found a new product only in May. I always asked, "Do you have anything this month?", So I told me, "Yes." It's "Ooka in the middle of making it." It is a product in connection with the lunch performance "Ooka Masadan", but this confectionery shop is located where the Ooka family residence in Akasaka was located. It seems to be "handmade" because it is a type that puts bean paste on the skin when you have it. 3 pieces are 650 yenya. Since lunch is the last week, I decided to have it first.

Danjuro has died, but it is a gorgeous, lively and luxurious stage performed by the Ichikawa family Ichimon Sogo and Otowaya Ichimon Sogo. It is also recommended for those who are watching Kabuki for the first time because it is easy to understand.
