If you give another specialty in Higashine, it will be the Fu of the "Muda district" between Cherry Higashine Station and Higashine Station.
This Muda area is located along the Dewa Kaido, and in the past it was a wheat cultivation area, and it was a beautiful place with water, so fu has been produced since the Edo period, which was a post town.
Even now, there are several shops in the Muda area that manufactures and sells fu. There were shops where you can eat dishes using fu and sweets of raw fu, and also sell sweets such as fu buns and rusks and karinto, which were quite busy.
There is also a hot spring in Higashine. Its name is "Cherry Higashine Onsen". There is also a footbath, so you can take a break.
